It had been many a night since one Super Sailor Kallichore had met one Eternal Sailor Chaonis. Then, he was known as Plasticass, or similarly, Asswings, but now that she herself possessed some of her own, the nickname seemed rather redundant. While they butted heads during their initial encounter, there was a strength and certain amount of brutishness in the man that Kallichore found herself somewhat impressed with. With some conventional wisdom and self-control, Chaonis could become quite a force to be reckoned with (not that he wasn't one right now, just more so). Of this she was convinced.
How they came to meet again tonight was purely by accident.
The newly anointed eternal found herself perched atop the movie theater in downtown Destiny City, taking inventory and watching over the people milling in and around the area. It was a bright and garish thing, this building - neon lights blinking this way and that, spotlights sweeping over the sky. Sometimes, she thought, it seemed as though the war wasn't happening at all and she was simply part of an elaborate attempt to keep Halloween going longer than one night. But Kallichore knew it was simply a ruse, an illusion. Nothing was going to stop the war short of killing or converting everyone on one side. That was something she couldn't stand for.
"I swear, if I can ever curl my hands around her neck..." Kallichore muttered, eyes glowering at nothing in particular. Tanned skin, red hair, gray eyes... all snuffed out, if she had anything to say about it.

"Whose neck?"
The eternal senshi of danger had felt the power signature nearby and gone to investigate. He had not expected to find Kallichore there, as he hadnt seen her in a bit. He thought she had died or something. Their last encounter had been interesting, but now it felt like ages ago.
He knew he wasn't going to surprise her: if he felt her energy, she must have felt his, but he had gotten to her quickly, and had managed to catch her grumbling to herself. He watched her.
She had powered up since they last met.
He grinned. He liked that. It made her stronger, of course, and it made her more interesting. He wanted to know what she had been up to, but he wasn't the kind of guy who would just ask. He did want to see what she could do now, though.
Maybe not as experimented on himself, but still.
"Talking to some invisible friends, eh?"

Another eternal blipped onto her radar was spark and pizzazz and macho manliness. Therefore, she immediately suspected who it would be. Turning her gray head, she saw the familiar form of one Eternal Sailor Chaonis. She smirked to him, and with a huff, straightened herself out. In a display she thought might humor him, Kallichore curled one hand into a fist and punched the open palm of her other hand. "The neck of one particular Borg queen I think you might really be interested in stomping into the ground with me." she started, turning fully to face him.
Kallichore noted that Chaonis sported cleats. Now that was some info worth keeping track of.
"Her name is Ares, and she's sick, twisted and ignorant. Apparently thinks it's okay to kidnap people and forcibly corrupt them. She's enemy number one as far as I'm concerned." Taking a few steps toward him, there was a relief in knowing Chaonis hadn't been touched either. So far, too many had been lost to one particularly pitiful princess. "But I'm glad to know you're still in one piece, and still kicking a**, I assume?"
Ah, now there was a conversation starter. Chaonis seemed to thrive on a**-kickery, skull-punchery and probably a little of b***h-slappery, but she figured slapping wasn't manly enough for him. The other two would do just fine, she was certain.

Chaonis arched his eyebrow. He had heard some things about Ares, since their run in a long time ago. That was even longer back than his last meeting with Kallichore, though, and he had almost forgotten it. Or rather, he had, without prompting.
But it seemed things had changed quite a lot since then. More for her than for him. What with the going crazy thing.
That was a shame, too, as their subway battle had been pretty fun, and somewhere in all that chaos he was pretty sure he still owed her one for getting him out of there through that mirror when the cops came.
"That does sound like someone I'd enjoy beating down," he said airily, taking in just how angry she seemed. She sounded no better than those pathetic negaversers now, Ares that was. Corrupting people because her side had to be created to be perpetuated. They weren't born with it, not like the Senshi. And that made them phonies.
"Always kicking a**," Chaonis grinned, arms folded over his chest as he spoke the One Truth, it seemed. "Looks like you've been doing some of your own. Can't tease me for my butt wings now, can you?"

Maybe she'd become a bit too obsessed with it, and tried to allow Chaonis' good nature to rub off on her, if even a little. There was something about his nonchalant self-confidence that was infectious. She shook a gloved hand at her own wings, which were utterly ridiculous. How a senshi was supposed to get from point A to point B with an angel splattered on their back... it worked, somehow, but didn't make it any less bizarre.
"I can still tease you about your butt wings, sir." she started, shaking her head to stifle a chuckle. "Mine aren't plastic."
Touche, or something. Kallichore didn't mean anything by it but somehow, finding someone else on the same level as her (and with more experience, judging by how long she assumed he'd been powered up) was comforting. Chaonis was someone who could understand the necessity for violence. Talking didn't always solve everything, and when it didn't, one had to be prepared to take matter into their own hands.
"So, what's new with you? Aside from more names added to your list of defeated." Several things had happened to her - the Blood Moon's rise and fall, their failed attempt against General Zinkenite and Veritas, Ares' corruption, the forming of the Jovian court and the list went on. Kallichore didn't consider herself a representative of the court, not yet. She wouldn't extend the offer of alliance since Chaonis didn't seem the type. Not enough a** to kick, most likely.

"I know, I'm sorry you have to be stuck with whatever those are. I know you're jealous of the plastic awesomeness, but you'll just have to find a way to soldier on."
Chaonis laughed, shaking his head. Of course he knew that she meant she would tease them because plastic was somehow bad, but he did not agree. His wings didn't get in his way too often, save in doorways, and at least he had no chance of them getting caught up in something, or getting in his own way.
They stayed right were they were supposed to, at all times.
Talking was basically a big waste of time, if Chaonis was asked and he didn't respond with a swing of his fist. So it was good that she had the same idea about having to solve some things with violence. Of course, he was leaning more toward 'all things', but that was probably not the best way to be, either. And the stark opposite of his father, ironically enough, though he still had no idea about that whole knight thing.
He tried to think what interesting things had happened to him recently, but he had a hard time classifying anything as worth remembering. There was always something cooler, a bigger battle to fight.
"Eh," he replied with a shrug, "what about you?"

The other eternal senshi sighed - oh darn, she'd been found out. "You better watch your back then, good sir. You might henshin up to find them missing, and I'll be rocking two pairs. Then I know you'd be jealous." She ended it with a chuckle, something good-natured and friendly. Chaonis was someone she could relate to on certain levels and someone she could joke with without having to feel like she was supposed to be representing something greater than herself.
It was a relief, to say the least.
"Somehow I doubt you've been up to nothing." Kallichore tilted her head and tapped her chin with a gloved hand. "Those news bulletins about severe property damage and apprehended criminals... don't tell me you had nothing to do with that! I'd be shocked and disappointed." She made a mock gesture of completely overwhelming fangirlish disappointment. How could Chaonis, brave man in plastic, have nothing to do with saving the day?

Chaonis frowned at that, shaking his head. He was sure one could not steal another's buttwings, but he did not want to let that happen regardless. For all the teasing he got, he liked the plastic wings far better than the feathery ones most people were stuck with.
A bunch of girls, the lot of them. Which was, generally, the case. Still.
Whatever.
He grinned at her devilishly, liking to hear reports of his work. Of course, the property damage was mostly accidental, when it was caused by him. He knew what he attacks could do, and that didn't stop him from using them, but since he couldn't control just what broke or fell down he still counted that as an accident. The choice to cause it, knowing something bad would happen, did not count and did not negate the lack of responsibility he took for it all.
Anyway, other people always cleaned everything up, so there was that handled without any effort on his part.
"You're right, of course. I've been keeping the city safe from badly constructed buildings. I'm also personally responsible for spearheading more earthquake preparations and precautions. All in the name of the white moon, of course."

She shook her head with a smile. "Oh good - spearheading new safety regulations in building construction. Now that's what I like to hear. Now, I on the other hand," she started, waving one sleeved arm in emphasis, "have made sure hospitals and other medical facilities are providing adequate mental health care for those privileged enough to meet me."
The female placed her hands on her hips and rocked slightly on her ankles. If the queen or princess or whoever of the white moon was really watching, what would she think of all this? If she had any sense of humor, she'd be laughing. "Look at us. We're improving the city beyond just taking out the Negaverse and whoever else decides to be stupid and ruin everything. We're enforcing building codes and improving healthcare at the same time. Hell, we're practically politicians at this rate."
Anything even remotely political made Kallichore roll her eyes hard enough for it to hurt. There was already enough politics going on with the war, but if she and Chaonis had anything to say about it, problems would be dealt with like nails: hammer swift and hard, and there was nothing that couldn't be fixed.

"Sounds like a wussy occupation for a senshi," he said, shaking his head. Hospital trips were so beneath him. Except they weren't, he had his fair share, he just wasn't going to admit that he needed them. He was a manly man, and a damn good senshi. That was what he would admit to.
No arguments otherwise.
"I'm not rat enough to be a politician. Though, I bet the under the table pay is a lot better than the pathetic earnings I take in on patrol." And he did, actually, make money from saving people sometimes. Was it wrong to ask for payment when some one asks how they could ever repay someone? They were offering, after all.
It wasn't like he was stealing. Except when he was.
She had him figured out, though. He would much rather solve any problem with his fists then try to think it out. Much less talk it out. He was itching for something fun to do now, in fact, and wondered if there was anything out causing trouble.
"We should find something to mess with," he shared his thoughts as they occurred, "I want to see if you've gotten any better, or if it's just for show. You have to earn those buttwings, after all. Or maybe you wanna spar? I remember you're pretty good at hitting me anyway."

Kallichore had to laugh at the rats and politicians comment. Chaonis was so ridiculously right that it was painful. Being a politician would mean desk work, lying and being a general scoundrel. That was something she left up to the forces of Chaos - they were better at it than she was most days anyway. Not that she tried. No sir.
But one comment did make her tilt her head. "Earnings on patrol, huh? Do you ring a bell like the salvation army, or are you up to something I should know about?" One eyebrow raised at him but Chaonis could rest assured that anything short of tossing himself into Chaos' arms willingly wouldn't set her against him. "Just having others pitch in for a Replacement Asswing and Caution Tape Fund?" Now she couldn't stem the images of a lonely Chaonis standing on the side of the street with a bell, pleading for a roll of caution tape from passing police officers.
Now she couldn't unsee it.
She cracked her neck by turning it to the side in a languid stretch. "Antsy? You know what it takes to earn the wings - you wouldn't have gotten your own without kicking an a** or two. But I'd be up for a spar. Would you hit a girl?" The last bit came with a lilt to her voice. She already knew the answer and it made her smile.

Chaonis did his absolute best to look as innocent as possible. As it turned out, it was the one thing he was not good at. At least in his opinion. A devious smirk broke the attempt, and he shook his head a few too many times to be believable.
"I don't do anything I shouldn't be doing," he said. That was almost reasonable, except for the fact that it was on the complete opposite side of truth. Still, if they went off what he believed he should be doing, then he was definitely doing exactly what he should be. It was just when they judged it from pretty much anyone elses' view that things got awkward.
When she agree to the fight, he laughed.
"I dunno, do you see one?" Classic schoolyard teasing there, but it was not a tactic Chaonis deemed himself above. Anything to annoy or tease. Except with Kallichore he wasn't aiming to piss her off or drive her away: he was aiming to be amusing.
He shifted his position, holding up his fists and motioning at her to come at him. She could have the first hit. She was at the disadvantage, after all. They might both be Eternal, but he was clearly far more awesome.

The gray haired senshi gave him a genuine smile. "Don't see one? Ah well, don't cry too much when you're beaten, okay?" She sailed off in one direction, gripped the ground with one gloved hand and veered in another, rocketing towards him with a speed only he and other Eternals could muster. She wasn't aiming to harm - maybe to tackle or grab, but nothing more than that. Senshi like him were few and far between; Chaonis understood the need for violence and necessary atrocities like it. He understood that being a senshi had its perks and he wasn't at all ashamed of it.
He embraced it like the blessing it was.
For the moments they were engaged, Kallichore didn't have to worry about royals or mirrors or Negaverse agents. It was simply down to two senshi, two equals, testing each other. It was something she could thoroughly engross herself in and enjoy for once. Chaonis had an easygoing sense of humor uniquely his own, and sometimes Kallichore longed for someone else to possess it. Someone who understood her and the war more clearly, like he did.
A few missed swipes were foolhardy and jovial. No aiming for eyes or jaws or private parts. Just the feel of air rushing past her face was more than enough for her. Belts flapped and snapped in the wind as they exchanged friendly blows. Perhaps she was shaping up to be his equal, ever so slowly.

Chaonis always liked fighting people nearer to his own level. Sparring or not, the challenge was always a thrill and it made him fight harder. He wasn't one who liked to loose any fight, but ones where they were reportedly 'evenly matched' weighed heavier on his ego, if not his pride.
Chaonis liked to think he had it all figured out, and maybe he did in the limited way he approached the very complicated subject of being a senshi. Duties and right and powers were subjects he generally just didn't talk about. That spared him having to think too hard about anything he didn't deem fun or rewarding.
He was surprised by how skilled she had gotten, but he patted himself on the back for that. Clearly their last meeting had been incredibly influential on her growth as a senshi, and he could take a lot of credit in that. Still, she had a lot of ability that he hadn't expected, and her movements almost matched his own, giving him a good run for his money even in this fake fight.
He took the opportunity to take some mental notes, liking what he was seeing.
The spar continued until they were both likely winded and their arms and legs were feeling jello-y. Chaonis took a step back, though he kept his arms up in case she followed him, not wanting to be the first one to stop and pretending he was just getting some room.

The female eternal wiped sweat from her brow and gave Chaonis a tired but friendly smile. She leaned on the railing surrounding the building on which they stood and tried to catch her breath. She silently thanked the fuku gods that she had so many belts to keep things under control. With her heavy breathing, she was almost afraid to pop a seam, as it were. Shaking her head, Kallichore smoothed out her head.
"Ah, good to see you haven't gotten rusty. I thought maybe you'd get so bored with beating down everyone all the time. Can't have you getting soft, you know. Too many of them are soft as it is anyway." She waved a hand dismissively, knowing he'd get the idea. Chaonis had a way of not giving a s**t about things greater than himself, as far as she could tell. Kallichore thought too much into things and perhaps he didn't think enough, but they balanced out nicely. There was no worry between the two and that was incredibly refreshing.
Once she had sufficient air in her lungs, she conceded the match willingly, lowering her arms to the sides to indicate she wasn't going to rush at him again. An eternal's speed and agility were incredible and it wasn't often Kallichore could really find someone to test her abilities with. "That was... nice. I don't get to do that much. Actually, I don't get to do that at all with my team. Maybe I can get that to change."
