Since finally being turned back into a human (and then being promoted both within the DMC ranks and as a Senshi), Leto had taken to patrolling the more run-down areas of town. There were significantly less people here compared to downtown or the park, and therefore less people to drain, which made this area pointless... Except for the fact that Leto was practically running away from both her power and her job.
She loved being a Senshi. More-so than that, she loved being a Senshi in the Dark Mirror Court, and nothing made her feel better than Ares thinking she was worthy of being Vice Captain of the Court.
But she couldn't help but have a nagging feeling in the back of her mind that she wasn't good enough. That somehow, Ares made the wrong choice.
So here she was, walking along the rooftops of old abandoned buildings rather than making a difference in the city.

Chaonis, in his own right, was feeling better than he probably should have been. Things were complicated, but when were they not? Being a senshi wasn't supposed to be easy, even if he preferred things to be just that. never boring, though.
And they certainly weren't.
He hadn't been looking for a fight, but when he felt the strong aura of a dark senshi in the area he couldn't help but go looking for it. He leaped up onto a roof, climbing and pulling his way up with ease but no real grace. It wasnt like he was putting on a show: he was just climbing onto a roof.
Once there, he spotted the source of the energy nearby and grinned. So it was that chick that had nearly killed Grus. This was going to be very fun.
"Think about what it's going to feel like when your face hits the pavement from here?" He called, after leaping over to the roof she was on. He wasn't going to waste too much time talking, of course. As soon as he landed, while he was speaking, he ran toward her, arm pulled back, fist ready.
He had promised himself, more than anything, that he would take her down for hurting his friend, and that was exactly what he was going to do. He didn't really know or care that she was friends with a certain dark senshi that had his attention, but that probably would not have stopped him, anyway.

When Chaonis was within her vicinity, Leto immediately felt a tingle at the nape of her neck that ran all the way down her spine. She closed her eyes for a brief moment and sighed; apparently getting away from fights tonight wasn't going to happen.
Her eyes snapped open when she felt him come up behind her on the same roof she was on and she turned on her heal at the sound of his voice.
Son of a b***h.
A grin spread upon her face at his comment. "More like reminiscing about hospitalizing your pretty little friend," she spat.
Her head snapped to the side at the impact of his fist colliding with her cheek. She licked her cracked and bloody lip while turning her head to face him once again. She tilted her head to the left sharply, allowing her neck to crack with a loud 'pop'.
Without another word, Leto swung her right foot out in an attempt to catch him in the ribs with the side of her boot.

Chaonis felt a rush of thrill and satisfaction as his fist met Leto's face. Especially following her words about Grus. Not wise, talking to him about his friend. He might not have had many of them, but the ones he did have he took care of in his way.
The fight was on.
Chaonis pulled his arm to the side to try to block her foot, but didn't get there in time. She hit him hard in the side, and he stumbled with her momentum, but was using it to find his footing. He curled toward the hit, but lashed out with his inside arm to swing at her again. This fist was aimed for the other side of her face.
Might as well give her a matching set of bruises.
"You'll have all the time it takes you between the roof and the floor to think about hospitals," he growled, though he was grinning as he fought. He loved a good fight. Thrived off it, in fact, and meeting someone that matched his strength was not just a challenge, but a thrill.

Leto couldn't help but grin when he stumbled from her kick. But the feeling was short-lived when she took a second fist to the face. This time it was her turn to stumble back a few steps as she shook her head to right herself.
Her face ached on both sides now, which made Leto feel exhilarated.
She practically threw herself at him while he spoke, her right hand balled into a fist and being aimed for his face this time.
"I have no intention of being put in the hospital again a*****e, so those thoughts are far off tonight."

Chaonis was eager and enjoying himself. Yeah, it was a fight. Yeah, he could get hurt. Maybe that was the whole reason he was having so much fun. He was the goddamn senshi of Danger, wasn't he? And maybe that had gone to his head. Now he thrived on it, just on thrill of it, and he sought it but was often disappointed.
But not tonight. She was going to fight him better than any youma could do, or any lower ranked enemy was capable. They were both eternals: that put them on even ground. Or at least, close to it. He had been at his full strength for a while now, so he counted the advantage as his.
"Well," he said, grunting as he was socked in the face. he held his ground and swung his fist low, like an upper cut, aiming for her gut since she was close to him now. A little blood ran from a split on his lip from where she had bunched him. "This battle'll only end with one of us on the floor, and it sure as ******** ain't going to be me."
He couldn't use his attack up here, but that thought probably wouldn't stop him. The result would probably be a building collapsing, or something equally ridiculous, but if that was what he had to do to win he would do it. He wasn't one of those fighters that p***y footed around ideas of honor and fairness. He didn't like fighting dirty, but he liked to win. He liked challenging opponents that made him work for it.

It was fair for Chaonis to assume that he had the upper hand in this fight. While Leto may have had Blood Moon training and she was technically at equal strength, she had just gone Eternal. The power was fresh to her, new and exciting, and this made her careless. She also had the disadvantage of being unaware of what exactly her new attack did.
Chaonis on the other hand, knew exactly what he was doing.
She side-stepped his upper-cut to the gut, but only just enough that he still caught her in the side. The hit caused her to stumble a few steps, her hand clutching at her side where he hit her.
"Hey now... You're good looking, but you're gonna hafta take me on a few dates and wine and dine me before you get me on the ground."
He may have been cautious enough not to use his attack up here, but Leto was not.
"Leto Hidden Ambush!" She called loudly, and suddenly the roof began to shake and rumble under their feet. Cracks formed along the cement and parts of the roof split and tall grasses and thick bush shot up around both Leto and Chaonis.

"Really? I didn't think I'd find a classy lady in the DMV." Yes, he was taking a dig at Navi while he was fighting Leto, though that was only because he often found he couldn't get her out of his head. For better or worse, whatever it meant. He also got their name wrong on purpose. Just because.
When she called her attack, though, he tensed and readied for whatever could happen. She was camouflage: she could disappear? He was expecting something like that, to hide her from his sight and have to fight her blind or something equally obnoxious.
It was that judging a book by its cover thing his librarian dad often talked about.
When the roof started to shake, though, he realized it wasn't his fault this time. That was no and surprising. The plants were definitely new. He leaped up and tried to get away from the bushes and grass, though they seemed to be very thick.
Two could play at this game.
"Warning! Epic Hazards!" Chaonis yelled, his own Eternal attack flaring to life. It had an instant effect. Everything began to shake twice as hard, and anything that wasn't tied down began to twist and break, burst and shatter. Anything that could be made a danger to them, indiscriminately, was. So maybe that had been a bad idea. He thought maybe he'd cancel hers out and make her attack back fire on her.
Instead, it was likely that they were going to collapse the roof together.

Leto's eyes narrowed, incredibly annoyed at the DMV comment. Refusing to let this smug a*****e get under her skin, she decided to let it go. Also there was the fact that the ground beneath them was rumbling and splitting and now s**t was bursting and shattering.
Oh and it wasn't ground. It was a ******** roof. That she was pretty ******** sure was just about ready to collapse beneath them. Unfortunately for Chaonis, her attack was obnoxious and she was camoflaged into the grasses and bushes that had sprouted up around them.
Instead of worrying about the roof and falling to her doom, she ran through the thick bush (and by ran I mean stumbled through it clumsily) and took another swing at Chaonis' face. First her fist was aimed at his jaw, and if that connected then her arm would swing and her elbow would hit him in the temple. If not, well... She would probably just flail a whole lot because her footing was incredibly unstable beneath her.
This was an incredibly bad idea.

"Ooph!"
Chaonis hadn't seen her coming, with everything moving from the violent shaking. The roof was groaning and crying out as it struggled to keep itself from collapsing under the very strange happenings of the evening. It had been built to code, but there had never been anything about this kind of stuff.
The first hit got him reacting, though, even as she was swinging to follow through. He was not one to let himself get punched and not put up a fight in return. He swung for her immediately, using his senses and their proximity to his advantage now. It was hard to camouflage in front of his face, after punching him.
He swung wide, though, not for his own fault but the roof shifted and began to crumble inwards. He shoved her to throw her further off, while trying to get himself to a part of the roof that seemed more sturdy. At this point, though, there wasn't much.
"s**t!" They were going to go down, but Chaonis was not going to let a damn building fall on him. Again.
