Jeremy had let it go long enough. He needed some answers and there was really only one person he could go to in order to get them. Obviously that wasn't Robert, because Robert was a) a guy and b) not the one who sat on his lap and clung to his arms and whispered things about not letting go. So that meant it was obviously Reine he needed to see, and it was at Reine's door he ended up.
The blonde sun hunter was chewing on the end of a candy cane, staring at her door with his hands in his pockets. Now that he was here, did he want answers? Would it tarnish that beautiful memory of how warm she was? Probably. But was he still curious? Yes.
So he knocked.
"Helllooooo? I'm looking for the lap warmer! Are you in there?"

"Try next door," Reine answered, when she heard.. whatshisname- Jeremy knocking on her door and asking for her. She'd had quite enough of being called a lap warmer- both by him and that other girl.
At least he could have the decency to call her by name, unless he'd already forgotten that.. Stretching out on her bed, Reine didn't bother moving to the door- either he could be civil, or just never know she was in here...
B..besides, she hadn't wanted to sit on his lap.
Then whose?
Shut up!

"Nope! It's gotta be you." Jeremy said cheerfully to the door, still talking around the candycane in his mouth. "C'mon Reine, open the door, please?" See? He could be sweet! He was decent enough at being sweet when he wanted to. If she didn't answer right away, he would clear his throat loudly and proclaim:
"Or I'll stand out here and sing a song just for you as off-key as I can until you do." Forever cheerful in threat.

"Pfft." Well- she couldn't complain about him not using her name properly, now, but that didn't mean she was letting him in. Open the door, right? Still, his cheerfulness was somewhat infectious, and she found herself laughing even as she unlocked the door and pulled it open just enough for her to block the way to her room.
"If you're asking me out, I'm not gonna say yes," she teased.

"But that also means you're not gonna say no, either." Just because she said she wouldn't say yes didn't mean a no! Ba ha ha! Just to be safe though, Jeremy slid a foot forward, to catch the door in case it closed. He was going to talk to this girl, damnit! "Besides, creepy as s**t island isn't exactly my idea of a hot date spot." Shrugging, he reached into his pocket and pulled out an unopened candy cane, holding it out to her palm up.
"I'll give you this if you let me in?" It was a sweet offer, almost literally! At least in his head. "And I swear on Ariane's watermeloned head that I just wanna chat!"

"I might, if you push it." There was still a grin on her face, though; Jeremy just didn't have the creepr vibe Marcus did, and that let her relax a little. "I dunno much about date spots, but I guess you're right about the island.. like, where would you even consider 'romantic'- the cafeteria? The pod room?" It wasn't as if she had time to be thinking about dating, anyway.
Shaking her head as if to clear her thoughts, Reine looked up at the candy cane and raised an eyebrow.
"You seriously think you can bribe me with candy?"
No, it wasn't likely she'd let him in, though she wouldn't mind letting him buy her a drink or something.

"Mmm...the Lab, maybe? Nothing says date me like probably unstable science equipment staring at you and analyzing you." The thoughtful look faded with a shrug and he scratched the side of her nose. "The roof, maybe? I don't know." Reine's debuff was met with a scoff.
"It's not just candy! It's a candy cane! You know, some of the Christmas barf that's been showing up here!" Jeremy protested, still holding the candy out for her. "But if this won't...what do I have to do to get you to let me in?" He frowned.
"...to you room, I mean."

Reine had to laugh at that one. Seriously, was he a stalker or had she mentioned somewhere that she was into science? Or maybe he was just going by the fact that she was a life hunter. Either way, he'd scored half a point.
"Too bad for you I never liked candy canes." Whoops, minus one, Jeremy. Still, he looked like he was trying hard, and even if she still wasn't intending on letting him in.. to her room, he'd mentioned someplace she hadn't checked out before, and Reine liked the sound of the roof. Unless it was covered in bird poop, though with all the cleaning duties the trainees had to do, the roof was probably clean.
"How about the roof, then? Doesn't sound half bad" He did say he wanted to talk, after all. And if he tried anything funny, she could just push him off!
"No one gets access to the room without the right ID card," Reine grinned, stepping out and locking the door behind her.
Hey, you let one in the other time. Why not this one?
Because it's weird having someone who's practically a stranger in your room, especially if it's a guy!
I like this one better though.
Ignoring Alynthe, Reine shuddered a little as she felt something cold coil around her mind, squeezing it a little, almost warningly, before settling again. "So, lead the way?"
