He really needed to think things through before actually doing them.
"Before?"
The somewhat curious sounding call echoed throughout the other hunter's room as Gale stepped inside, peering through the door to find out where the older one was. He had wanted to ask Before something, but first that meant actually finding him.
Hopefully he was in his room...somewhere.
"Before?" Gale called again, glancing around.

Before had not been in his room. He'd been wandering the halls being all philosophical and s**t (see: pondering why the hell he was one of the "lucky few" that woke up). So imagine his surprise to find Gale peeking into his doorway.
"Yo! After! Whassaaaaaaaap~?" He greeted. Sometimes it's a wonder that Before is as old as he is. He sure as hell doesn't act it.

The sudden voice behind him made him jump, Gale spinning around and almost colliding with the door. As it was, he did manage to bang his arm on it rather unpleasantly.
"Before - ow - there you are," he said, rubbing his elbow as he gave the other hunter a small, barely there smile. "I was just wondering, er..."
There was a slight pause, Gale wondering how he could word it tactfully, without sounding rude.
"I want a rematch," was what finally came out, and Gale internally rolled his eyes.

Teal eyes blinked, lips pursed, and feet began pacing around Gale. Before looked to be sizing the younger trainee up, making "Hmmmmmmm..." sounds in the process. When he stopped in front of Gale, Before beamed, "Sure! Hopefully this time your aim's gotten better!" XDDDDDD it was just a teasing remark. Hopefully not too insulting.

Gale rolled his eyes.
"My aim was just fine to begin with," he replied, in a mildly exasperated tone, but there was maybe the faintest hint of a smile on his face.
Maybe.
"Come on," said Gale. "Let's go down to the training fields."

Before grinned cheekily at the younger man. Gale wasn't a trainee anymore but he was still shorter and therefore made the Life trainee declare, "Race ya!!!" 8DDDD and promptly broke into a run down the hall.

"What are you, four?" bellowed Gale as the other raced down the hall.
But he ran after Before anyway.
"You got an unfair advantage," said Gale, a little breathlessly, once they reached the field. He pushed his hair away from his eyes and stood with his hands on his hips.
"At any rate - "
A flash of light and Jinhai appeared, an actual smile appearing on Gale's face as he swung the rifle around.
"You ready for this?"
Gripping the barrel, rather than the handle, Gale flipped the weapon out, catching Before around the legs.

Before only laughed and clapped Gale on the back when they arrived at the training grounds. "Eeeey, ain't like I do this with all the other trainees. Just the ones who're my Bros," he nodded solemnly as he summoned Vanna.
And the next thing he knew he was doing a back-plant on the ground with an audible oomph. "Ow..." he groaned, a tad disoriented from his "trip".

"Am I a 'bro' then?" asked Gale dryly, leaping back automatically as Before tripped backwards. He spun the rifle around again, jabbing the butt of it against the other's back.

"'Course you ar-oooof!!" he wheezed at the rifle's butt before the Lifer grabbed the weapon to yank Gale down onto his angled knee. Then followed up with, "I mean, why wouldn't you be?" OnO???

Then he realized how insensitive this sounded, and added quickly "But you're, er...a bro to me too...er, I guess..."

See Before. See Before make this face: *w*!!!! See Before's hand. Feel Before's hand roughly clapping Gale on the back. "No worries, no worries! We's bros, so it's all coo~" Now see Before helping Gale to his feet. See this rematch devolving into one of the weirdest spars EVAR! Second only to any spar between Before and Jude. Trufax.

After yelping and rubbing the spot where Gale's foot met his shin, Before hopped on one leg and chuckled, "You mean kinda like Charlie Brown?" There was something wry and rueful about his smile at Gale's words.

Gale gave Before an exasperated look that clearly said you are very strange even as he was spinning around to aim another kick at the him.
"Yes, that was my point. You're exactly like Charlie Brown."
