The sun was going down and Izzy was new to waking in the night like this. The desert was enriched with left over heat but slowly but surely, the breeze started to come in. From the darkness, she emerged and lifted her head with a sureness and want to explore the lands she would call home til Ebio gave birth. It was like she was summoned to be here for this moment… Maybe was he? He couldn’t. He was a God and she was.. a mortal. That wasn’t normal was it?
Decisions and decisions were roaming her head and just needing a breather? Ebio knew how this felt, maybe this journey was all for a reason. Though Ebio’s God story ended in a romantic tragedy over the God- she still found her soulmate regardless. What IF she wanted him to be her soulmate? Was that even possible? Would it be frowned upon?
When the pride started to wake and scatter- now was the lively pride like it used to be. But a bit of a party- yet Izzy wasn’t too drawn to it. A visitor passing- not a member. Not at ALL. The moon started to rise and then was the praising and singing- with all that going on…
Happiness was easy to achieve for the pale lioness. Her head was always high but tonight, she was looking for a certain someone… While her brother slept way way off in the distance in a ruin that was abandoned far off the coast of the pride. But she heard of a God- that she wished to meet. There- her journey would be off to find him. Meet him and wish him to show her his ways. They many questions she had instead.
She found the pride with all it’s joy.
She- seemed undated and quiet towards it but just the same- maybe they knew the God she was looking for. Therefore pushed on and was found with the only lioness that was close to the lands- dodging the males since she didn’t know the territory as well. Females were so much more easier to talk to, Quickly, she inched through and whispered chirps of calling…
When the chirping began, she couldn’t help but try to pin point it’s source, it didn’t sound like praising the Night Goddess at all. Tilting her head every which way to find it, and when she did- her paws automatically went towards it instead of the party. A guard stopped her on her way there though. Of course, she was Ebio’s Guest but even then they questioned where she was going… Bowing her head and just an evening walk would have to due for the guard’s desired answer. “I was just taking a walk dear sir- I have a lot of thinking to do, and within these confided spaces of dance and lure- I can’t hear the thoughts of the earth and sky.” “You should be a priestess- if you are one with the earth and its connection. “ Of course it seemed he had to throw additional looks and compliments but Izzy was quite oblivious to the advances. “No, Im just a friend of Ebio’s… a passing rogue as I have family in other places..” “A mate?” She quieted with the question and looked away. “Did I say something wrong? Whats up?” “Nothing fair Guard. May I ? Take a walk that is away from the pride for just a moment.. I miss my roguelands just a tad.” The guard stepped aside humbly and bowed his head. “If anything rises- if your in any danger. Just call out and we will be at your aid.” “Thank you…”
Her paws found a nice trot, looking about with a curiosity of it til she finally found the source. “Oh.. hello.. Were you the one?”
“Did I cause you any trouble? I was hoping a female found find me better..” She smiled innocently, and lifted her body from the crouch position and showed herself in the moonlight. That beautiful white coat that shined in just the most certain way, the way about her was like looking at snow for the first time. Tender, and beautiful, gentle and genuine. “I was- searching for someone… I heard- is this the Tuait’tekem? Are there really gods here? Can one help-”
“Woah, I’m sorry about that- no no you didn’t startle me. I’m glad I found you too- I dunno how guards would react if you don’t have connections here. Um.. So what brings you here?” Her ears twitched and listened the reasons and she nodded hard. “I don’t know about all that- whoa slow down little lady~” Putting a paw to her head and softly pushed the long wavy hair aside. Soaking up her breath to speak calmly. “I am not from this pride, I too am a rogue. I just have a very good friend here. She is about to give birth so I- as her friend of course have to stay. At least til the children are born.” Sighing in delight. “So I don’t know too much about the pride as I am waiting for the cubs to leave soon… But I bet Ebio can help you. She is from the pride and can definitely help you out. Do you mind coming in further? I think if you are with me they would let you pass. If anything you could be my sister.” She laughed softly. “Do you mind dear? What were you looking to have an answer for..?”
Saadii’s eyes went gem like, and almost glossy- this female had an aura of kindness and charm to her. It was no wonder she was let in to this pride so easily, and thankfully she would be getting the same chance. It was a slight walk, but it was good enough to pass a few words and admire the ‘noise making’ things that adorned the other female. Shells and misc rocks of different shapes.. “What are those?” As she heard with every step the other took- a gentle chime ringed from the said noise makers. It was a sound that without dance was still beautiful. “Oh, I was.. wondering something…” She looked out in to the pride not too far from them. “I am off to help others- and for some reason… I feel something is … well missing. That I should be somewhere- I wanted to ask my purpose although I have a really good idea about it now. It was what I was born to do… Just something is still making like..”
“A void.” Izzy inputted in the gap of space between her new friend’s next word. “I too have been searching for those same answers. My how I seem to find clues to it. I bet someone up there is working their strings…” Shaking her head. “Oh? These?” Her ears propped to the question of her adornments. “I dance and sing- these help give me more life with what I do. I used to go around performing but.. That is over now. Then, I travel around with a group of friends- well I used to. Now I found myself …. Absorbed.” Her heart sank in to her throat and with that she shook off her fur and looked at the other lioness. “If you want, after the cubs give birth- if you still can’t find what you’re looking for. Or those answers… you can travel with me? Hunting in packs is defiantly better than going solo. I can tell you’re a strong one… If you made it all the way here without passing out.”
The chiming was nice, and she listened to it as the female spoke. She even leaned in to it- so soothing, open and deep.. “That would have done well in our pride..” She whispered to herself. The sounds, the dancing and performing- she remembered her dark sister had done it just the same. “Absorbed?” She listened more carefully but something seemed to be missing in what she spoke of. She needed more, maybe- the opening was there. Before she can suggest if she could possibly come along with the other’s journey, Izzy purposed it. Saadii couldn’t help but laugh with a gentleness. “I was going to ask the very same thing…” Preening a smile at Izzy. “I shall take heed of your words, and I hope that I will not trouble you during our trip. I have a brother that has taking refuge down further then where you found me. He is ok for now- but will he be ok to come along too?”
“Who am I to say no.”
