Fighting Stats Attack: 7% x 1 = 7 Defense: 6% x 9 = 54 Speed: 4% x 8 = 32 Agility: 6% x 10 = 60 Intelligence: 8% x 8 = 64 Aea felt good today. She and Lous had spent the previous night out beyond the walls and stared up at the stars before falling asleep with the grass underneath them. When she awoke, a thin fog, a mist, coated the grasses around them seeming like a dream. She was getting stronger, faster, and learning how to prepare herself for oncoming attacks. But she knew, she couldn't always be prepared for everything that she faced in a day.
Only Aea didn't know, today would be one of those days.
Lous let Aea walk into the pit alone, and she stood off to the side and spoke with several men. All Lous knew was Aea was facing an opponent she hadn't seen in the ring before, and it suited Lous fine until she caught the familiar glance of someone opposite her in the crowd watching.
It couldn't be.
Aea waited, stretched her limbs and peered towards where her opponent would emerge. However, when the bell rang, she didn't see anyone come into the light so without hesitation, she took off, ears back, shoulders at hte ready running to meet her opponent in an onslaught of shoulder against shoulder, if she could handle it.

Inali's Fighting Stats Attack: 1x4 = 4% Defense: 2% Speed: 10% Agility: 8% Intelligence: 1% Inali was feeling better and better about the settlement each day. While he hadn’t been outside the walls, he had been practicing with Ai on the tricks he could use the next time he entered the forest walls of the training pit. Inali hoped he would have another chance to go out there before the next time he was tossed into the human pit, but unfortunately the luck wasn’t on his side. Instead, the familiar shoving of his body in the small silver chute, leading him to the inside took over his mind. He had to fight not to snap at the humans who’s calloused hands kept pushing him until the doors could actually lock behind him.
Stupid Humans he thought to himself, stepping out of the chute in the pit.
He wondered if he would be meeting that Maurea again in battle. When he spotted his opponent, he would have guessed it had been her, if it wasn’t for the lighter gray pelt. Inali couldn’t help but smirk as she was already lunging towards him. So, instead of meeting in the outside pits, they would battle for good, today.
“Aea,” Inali called out, his tail stiff behind him. He braced himself for a collision, knowing it was useless to try and dodge something with her speed. It migh have been a bad move on his part, but as soon as their bodies collided, his jaw twisted to grab at her neck. He would like this to end as quickly as possible.

When she was close, the look of determination on her face faded into a look of shock, surprise, and not the good kind. She had enough time to say "Inali?" before they collided, her body trying to twist away from the impact as she didn't want to run full force into him. Wait, why did she want to hesitate? As they collided, she braced her muscles, and felt the twang thrum through her body, and felt a connection on the back of her neck.
A pressure.
A grab.
He didn't...did he?
Had he come into his own so quickly, that he was already ready to provoke another into fighting at will? As she whipped her head back and forth in his grasp, she grit her teeth, obviously disliked the pressure of being grabbed bu the scruff of her neck.
Aea looked to Lous, an expression in her eyes: why?
She began thrashing, kicking, hoping a paw would strike him at least in the stomach or chest to loosen his grip to let her go.

Inali's Fighting Stats Attack: 1x4 = 4% Defense: 2x1 = 2% Speed: 10% Agility: 8% Intelligence: 1% All her thrashing did in fact cause the male to release the grip on her neck. This, though sooner than he expected, was the moment he was waiting for. He wanted to take the gray female down in the pit, just like she had done so in their training session.
With eyes slightly narrowed, Inali went to charge. Unlike his stable mate Ai, he had not perfected the use of his horn in the pit just yet. Perhaps it was the fact he was fighting someone he would consider a friend? Either way, the husky male avoided using it at all cost.
With teeth bared, Inali just wanted to bring her to the ground. He had already picked up the more vicious you look in a battle, the louder the crowds would get.
Inali was also finding out that he had more adrenaline rushing through his veins when the noise level of the compound was erupted.
However, what would have been a head on collision for the male wasn’t. Inali found himself slowing down, hesitating almost. Was realization falling in his mind, that perhaps this wasn’t the right thing to be doing…not to Aea at least?

As she was released she felt a renewed sense of breath enter her lungs and she took off, trying to create some distance. Lous was calling something to her, but she didn't turn to look, answer, acknowledge. She huffed, in and out, chest heaving. Inali had gotten the upper hand, but not for long, not always, no, she couldn't let that be.
She wanted to fight, but what Lous had pulled, it was too much, too soon.
Aea was faltering, she didn't know what she could do.
She wanted to win but...she didn't want to hurt, just overpower.
As he came at her, she braced herself, but as he slowed, she knew they were going to collide, but, she wanted to be low to the ground. Her eyes sought his, and as they connected, she went for him, not too hard, but hard enough so when they did hit, if they did, it would be tough, but she was aiming to knock his paws out from under him.

Inali's Fighting Stats Attack: 1x4 = 4% Defense: 2x1 = 2% Speed: 10x10 = 100% Agility: 8% Intelligence: 1% Inali could see her faultering. Whatever the reasons he really didn’t know. Shouldn’t she just be treating him like any other pit mate she had come across? That was the way Ai had told him, therefore he held everyone in the same light. That little hesitation he did, it quickly was released as their bodies collided once more.
However, Inali had hit pretty hard. He was sure he heard the unpleasant sound of a crack somewhere, either from his body or hers. He didn’t linger on it though, as he felt the weight of his paws go out from under him. With ears pinning back (mainly at the sounds of JB shouting from the stands about him being a ‘moron’ or whatever that was), light blue eyes widened a bit as a thought raged through his mind. not again. he thought.
He would not let the female pin him again.
Once on the ground, Inali kicked out his legs in all directions, hoping it would keep the female away. He’d have to get on his feet quickly if he wanted to counter.

Aea's body hit his, hard, and she felt the shock run through her body. Through and up her spine and it made her shake a little. Perhaps, she wondered, she shouldn't have hesitated.
"Nwo! Od ti!" she heard from the stands, from Lous, and her ears pinned back as she laid out Inali, paws up and under him, and he was on his back.
Once he hit the ground, he seemed to know what she was trying, or wanted to do, now wasn't the time, she determined.
Instead, while he flailed, she ran almost passed him, but while doing so, smacked her paw against his face, but not without catching one of his paws against her legs.

Inali's Fighting Stats Attack: 1x4 = 4% Defense: 2x1 = 2% Speed: 10x10 = 100% Agility: 8x4 = 32% Intelligence: 1% What was with it and her smacking him?! With a growl, Inali sprang to his feet, not bothering to glare at the human idiot shouting from the crowds. (His human idiot, that was). Snarling, his instincts over took him. While he had been dreading using his horn the whole battle, his mind rather took over.
With an unusual sense of fierceness behind those blue orbs, Inali set out for Aea once again. He wouldn’t let her get the upper hand! For someone who didn’t care about the settlement life so much, he sure was set on winning this battle.
If only he knew there was no way he was going to. The fact of the matter was he was still too green, and Aea had a lot more of the settlement knowledge in her brain to get the upper hand.
This just seemed to outrage the black husky mokai even more. He leapt for the gray female, his head swing in the process. He missed the female, though, if he was thinking more clearly and rationally perhaps he wouldn’t have. With his clouded mind, it gave Aea a perfect chance for a rebuttle.

As he came at her, her eyes widened, tail tucked, only for a moment, as he swung his head. He was...trying, to hurt her? But she, he, she narrowed her eyes and let out a snarl at him. She wasn't trying to hurt him badly, did he see that? She huffed at him, hackles rising, fangs bared.
Even if she had a horn, of anything like that, she wouldn't use them against him he was...she thought he was..her friend.
Wasn't he?
As he swung, and missed, she had half a mind to pin him again and show him no mercy.
"Sih cefa Lous called to Aea. Aea turned her head slightly, to look at Lous, nad Lous nodded again, repeating it clearly, "Sih ceafe, nwo." Lous made a gesture with her hand, and it only meant one thing.
Show him.
As Inali moved to the side, Aea looked to him, his body, eyes focusing on his pelt, watching the movement, the muscles moving, and moved just slightly so and launched herself forward paws outstretched, slamming into him, to the ground.
As they hit down, Aea looked down to him, eyes narrowed, and expression of concern, doubt, wonder in her eyes, hackles still up.
She snapped her jaws at him, paws pressing into his shoulders, though she had pinned him, she was getting tired, tired of his attitude, had he learned nothing from her?

Inali's Fighting Stats Attack: 1x4 = 4% Defense: 2x1 = 2% Speed: 10x10 = 100% Agility: 8x4 = 32% Intelligence: 1x5 = 5% Inali was rather surprised when he felt the bodies colliding once more, and his feet swept out from underneath him again. Lying on his back for the second time this match, the mokai glared at Aea, before pushing on her. Feeling her weight shift, he had somehow managed to maneuver his body in such a way, that he found himself on top of her for a second, before the two were rolling again.
It ended up the same way it started. Inali pinned once more.
He would have gone to bite at her, get her off, something to save the little dignity he had left, but at the sound of the bell, and one very red-faced JB, he knew the match was over. Shaking his head, he gave a sigh, just narrowing his eyes a bit more. Well, there went his chances of freedom.
“You can get off me now.” He murmured, not sure of the emotion that was coming out of his throat. Something like a mixture of sadness and anger, maybe a hint of jealousy too?

Aea looked to Inali, then to his aster, then back to Inali. Her ears folded back, hackles subsiding, and she let off from him, taking a few steps away. She couldn't look at him. She felt hurt, betrayed, and...something else she just couldn't place. She felt like she had done wrong. But how was that possible?
Lous was smiling, laughing, and joking with those around her while Inali's human male looked displeased.
She couldn't look at him, she felt, almost ashamed, and her head hung low, and walked away to Lous.
What had she done?
