The knock was out of habit, rather than any sense of politeness or request, as Zinkenite would not be surprised by the arrival of a blonde captain to the war room. It had become a weekly thing, without either of them officially discussing it.

Her nod was respectful, and her quick grin was friendly enough as she set the door. "General-King," as he gestured, she took her customary seat, leaning back as her dark eyes combed the room for any changes.

After a moment, she got right into things, as she'd never been one to waste time or dance around an issue.

"The training grounds are shaping up well. The lieutenants are working hard, and I should be ready to begin recruitment in the next few weeks." She shifted slightly in her chair, "However, there is something more pressing that was brought to my attention."

"Eternal Sailor Leto, of the Dark Mirror Court, has informed me of a transgression. A new lieutenant attacked one of her senshi, as he fought one of those senshi children." Her brow furrowed slightly, jaw tightening with distaste. "I told her I would see to the matter, personally, and remove the threat to our alliance."

Her gaze met Zinkenite's bright eyes, then. "I was hoping you could assist me, unfortunately, I have never met him, and don't know his name." If anyone knew, it was Zinkenite. He actively followed all of the officers' development, and all the General Kings and Queens received reports of who had been recruited, and when.

It didn't occur to her to consider that Zinkenite might be anti-DMC, as many officers were, because to Howlite, personal feelings were irrelevant to their roles as officers, as cogs in the machine of chaos. It was no place of one piece of a puzzle to judge another, and it didn't help complete the image.

Her words caught his attention, and were then locked in with a frown that deepened as each ramification of the actions were tallied off in his mind, a rapid series of calculations, speculative reactions and probability. Or course he would help her, there was no need to even confirm it, he had laid so much at the feet of this alliance already, to abandon it now an surprising others had done before him would be a sin.

Though he had no love for the Dark Moon Court, not on a personal level at least, he’d been part of the rescue raid, he’d worked hard and with little rest to find them, scouring the city for any sign of what had become of their lost members, those fallen would never truly be forgotten, some still whistled in the hall the tune that had risen from the ashes of that day.

But there was more to this than whatever personal grudges he held, whatever irritations lingered like sand abrading his skin must, and would be put aside for the need they had as a whole.

“Describe him please.” The words were simple, dangerously so perhaps, because the demand was in itself a form of power, memory was he greatest weapon; knowledge the source of his power and his rank wove them together into enigma and discipline.

“The name of the…‘Chibi’ as well if you are able to supply it, I would like to make a note in case this is not an isolated incident.” He said pulling a pen from the piles of papers that were so commonly littering the desk of the ‘War Room’, a gift from Tanzanite while he was still a general, if an ambitious one.

His fingers danced over the pen, an agitation if nothing else, curling and twirling the pen between his fingers as he waited to put it into action, waited to sink his teeth into the unforgivable transgression.

"The girl goes by Lenka," It seemed that neither of them felt the need to discuss the ramifications of leaving the Lieutenant's actions unchecked. They both understood the gravity of the offense, and how important it was that it was corrected and established that the Negaverse would not endorse any treacherous behavior.

"The lieutenant is described as an older male, white, with blonde hair and a mustache, blue eyes. His uniform is blue and red, and he wields some type of training blade he allegedly referred to as 'Sear'."

He wouldn't be hard to discover, as not many Lieutenants were beyond their early twenties. Nor had there been a large upswell of incoming recruits in the past few weeks.

The pen froze between his fingers and then was set on the desk, a small clatter as it slipped between his fingers, he watched it for a moment and straitened it before raising his eyes back to hers. “Magnetite.” He said with no uncertainty. “Painite’s lieutenant, normally I would recommend drawing her into this debate, but given the circumstances and actions, I will fill her in posthumously.” He said and stood slowly, tugging at his vest and coat to make sure they were not rumpled around his waist.

He did not believe that the fault of this lay with the General, she was brisk and confidant, driven even when it came down to it, these actions he suspected stemmed from the Lieutenant. If he had defended this child senshi from even another Negaverse agent he might have had a fraction more tolerance with it, but given that the alliance as it was, was built on a few strands of trust, hope and faith in the greater powers they could not in the slightest afford any further transgressions than had already occurred.

“This must be dealt with, as rapidly as possible, you were right to bring this to me.” He said and moved to gather another pile of papers, fresh ink describing uniforms and perceived strengths of individuals. He frowned over the jottings on the paper before looking at her again. “I would like your opinions Howlite, do you feel you have sufficient information on this incident? Or do you feel we should consult Leto?”

It was something of a trap question, for as terrible as the Lieutenants actions had been there must still remain a divide between the two ‘courts’, the alliance was far too tentative to trust each other just yet with matters of discipline and consequence. But there was never a time when one should not test the metal if those who showed potential. No time like the present to find if this was fertile soil for ideas and ideals.

Howlite wasn't prone to voicing her opinion, but when prompted, there was no hesitation. She didn't stand, leaning forward slightly, instead to convey her attention on the issue.

"I think it's enough to have been informed that the situation will be dealt with appropriately." A pause, then, as she elaborated. "It's a clear matter of discipline, in this instance. A lieutenant has threatened everything we stand for, by making a choice of personal preference instead of following the commands of his superiors, no matter how indirect those commands may be. Leaving it unchecked simply paves the way for more damaging indiscretion."

Howlite removed her visor, tucking the eyewear into a pocket inside her jacket. "I would, of course, communicate with the Dark Mirror Court after the fact, to convey my displeasure at Lieutenant Magnetite's actions." She answered, as if she was in Zinkenite's place, since that was what he had asked, in a way.

He pulled down the dark fabric mask, it was a rare gesture at best, and second only to what came after it, a smile. “Well said Captain.” He murmured and nodded. “Captain, you are well acquainted with Leto,” he paused for a moment before jotting a note in the margins of a paper. He did not make it a question; it was a statement that implied he was more than sure of the fact.

“I would like you to report to her that we will be dealing with the aforementioned Lieutenant.” A breath passed, his eyes locked to hers as though he sought to draw forth some aspect of her, some fragment of information that lay beneath the surface. “A repertoire with the Dark Court, is something that I hope you will continue, I wish you to be forthright in your observations of them from this time forward.”

This went beyond what was to come, this was a simple statement that could weave the courts closer together, one that could perhaps be expounded upon.

“Let us pay the Lieutenant a visit, I think we are over due.” He nodded and waited for her to stand, offering her a hand so that they might teleport together, a simple gesture but in its own way profound given his ultimate distaste for the touch of most people.

The blonde confirmed Zinkenite's statements with an inclination of her head, acknowledging that his scope of knowledge was an on-point as ever.

"I see the value of our allies, yes." Even if she did not, it wouldn't have been for her to decide they weren't worth the Negaverse's respect. Conversations with the General-King, she'd found, led to interesting opportunities. Perhaps it was why she showed up to speak with him each week, or, maybe, just maybe, they were starting to like each other, at least professionally.

Standing, she reached out a gloved hand to meet his own, clasping in a grip that was more of a shake than a hand-hold.

"It would be an honor, sir."
