So far... All that I could think of was a Horror/Adventure RP that involved Scavenger Hunts in your not so average forest.

Saw the title of this thread and my immediate response was "I am so all over that." :3 I love horror RPs.
What kind of horror are you into? Is it more zombies and vampires and demons (oh my), or is it more a human psychological horror, or do you just like serial killers?

I am SO down for a Horror roleplay. I haven't had one of those in a minute.
So, there was a decent idea in the Why Not guild years ago that never really happened and that died before it began. Lemme give you the basics.
+ Yes, it's in a forest. Don't make fun of my lack of creativity. >.>
+ There is a group of friends that decide to go on vacation in this log house in the mountains in Colorado. Again, don't you dare make fun of me.
+ However, one of them is the Wolf. Nobody knows who the wolf is or that the wolf even exists, but systematically the wolf kills them off one by one.
+ Now here where it can get confusing. If you rock it right, not even the roleplayers will know who the wolf is. It would be the roleplayers' job to guess who it is, and if they do, their character survives and they win the game by killing the wolf.
+ The wolf can die before anybody guesses. (If, say, another character goes insane and starts slashing at everyone) However, if someone guesses correctly, it will became much, much easier to kill the wolf (allies, weapons, something)
+ However, if a person guesses incorrectly twice, their character will be killed. It's something you really gotta think about.

Hmm... I'm mostly into psychological horror( think Stephen King ) and those grotesque monsters( Vampires? No. Just.. No. stare ).
Think I checked out that RP before... Felt compelled to join.. But then I saw the words Real and Picture together.. sweatdrop

Hee. whee The first thing you'll find in this guild is that someone ALWAYS answers.
I freaking adore Stephen King. Read every book he's ever written, aside from the Dark Tower series because I haven't found the first one yet. Based off this alone, you and I are going to be friends. razz
And also...I cannot tell what is going on in that picture. All I know is that it appears to have antlers and it will be haunting my dreams when I FINALLY go to bed (which I should really do, right now, because it's like four-thirty in the morning).

Haha, Christ, it's an angry Elk come back to life, and he's taking all of us with him. xD
I dunno, a Wolf always instantaneously inspires fear in people. An "Angry Elk coming back to life and absorbing all living things around it"? Not so much.
Anyway, the 'Wolf' could be just the generic name in the roleplay for the terrifying thing that's coming to kill them all. You would have to tread carefully though, so people don't immediately find out who the wolf is. Like, you might have to have roleplayers write out their own character deaths and such. How torturous would THAT be? LOL
Also, @ Silent: Be jealous. I have the entire Dark Tower series, sittin' on mah bookshelf. <3

I KNOW we have them around...I just can't find them!
To macabre, indeed.
And I have to say, I have pictured many Wendigos after many descriptions in many horror stories, and I have never in my life pictured them quite like that. XD Wendigos are a popular Canadian monster.
Getting the three of us to create an RP?

Whoever has not read a Stephen King novel must be continuously shot until they do so.

XD Bb, I think she meant all three of us. As in Silent, you (Mayhem) and I (Cake), rather than (addressed to Silent) you and I.
But on the other hand, it's not like these legends and stories are totally unknown in the US - we share publishers and authors. XP

I've got exams until the nineteenth or so, and the twentieth will be my traveling day. But I'll probably still be around a fair amount by which I mean basically 24/7, so any time is good for me. I'll just pop by and check things out.

We're finally here! After a million—two—hours of driving, we arrived at my family's old cottage. It's pretty dusty here, but that isn't so bothersome. The pests are the only problem. Stupid insects. You won't believe what happened! We went fishing by the river, then my bestie spotted this lump on the other side... When we finally got across via stepping stone thingiez, we saw the lump. Only.. It wasn't a lump! It was this pretty girl... She had some sort of bite on her calf.
After bringing her to the cottage, we fixed her up. She's now sleeping in the spare room. Good thing I told them not to occupy it.

We woke up an hour earlier. Red was screaming her lungs out... and she was hanging upside down in the forest! What the hell?! All she told us what that she was sleeping one moment, then hanging by her right leg.
Shite... What if someone's after us? What if it's the thing I keep on hearing every night. And why am the only one who notices it?! Even my partially sleep deprived bestie says she heard nothing.
