 A cave completely frozen over in ice, and covered in snow. It is a natural phenomena that is hard to believe, and beautiful to witness. The cave retains an almost holy vow of silence, and remains as the only area of cold on an otherwise warm and tropical island.

Still in the rags they escaped in, two lovers hold hands as they run into the ice cave just in time to save their own lives. With their weapons still in hand, they contemplate together over what they must do.

Absolute Zero| Level 4| Ki: 850| Defiance ███████████████████████████████████████████████ Atnas' breathing was heavy, he found himself unable and unwilling to loosen his grip on the hand of his lover, or the handle of his blade. They were alive though, that's what counted in the end...they were alive, and still together. They had gotten close, he couldn't have imagined either one of them dying, but this one place was a sanctuary for them, he was almost certain nobody would bother them here...it was far too cold for a regular person to enduring comfortably. "What...should we do now? We can't survive any kind of heat..." Atnas went through it again and again in his head, this place was an island, they were lucky they even found this place, it was almost an impossibility, but here it was. He couldn't stand another second on this island, no matter where it was...he wanted to leave, but they needed to come up with something first. There situation frustrated him...but he would endure...if not for his own sake then for her's.

Jessica took a few deep breaths, her hand not willing to let go of Atnas's. They had been through so much already, and she knew that this was just the beginning. There was no way they could simply hide on the island. Akasun would be looking for the both of them, because they were the first. His first experiments with the Gene, and the two that rivaled the others. If they got away, they would be a threat to him. Jessica already knew this. That was why she was sure he was already formulating a plan. She didn't want to run, and she didn't want to be hunted. Why couldn't he just leave them alone? All they wanted as to leave this island.
Jessica caught her breath and looked to Atnas. "We need to find a way to get off this island. It's true, we can't survive in such warm temperatures. Not anymore...The only place we could possibly survive would be the Polar Ice caps. It's always cold up there, even in the summer. But...We would need to find a way off the island..." Jessica looked to Atnas, and tried to stay strong, but this all just seemed hopeless.
No! She couldn't think like that! She had to think of a way to get out of here. Both her and Atnas. She looked down to her free hand and something seemed to hit her. "Do you think we have enough power to freeze everything?" It was a simple question. She wasn't sure if they could do it...but since their abilities were based in ice...it would be worth a shot right?

Absolute Zero| Level 4| Ki: 850| Defiance ███████████████████████████████████████████████ Atnas thought about that for a second, he was almost certain they had more than enough power to freeze everything, they could survive if this island was nothing but ice, and that meant they could make their escape. "That may just be enough...but as soon as we start freezing this place Akasun will know where to find us." Atnas knew that man had probably gathered more people for his experiments...perhaps they could help, because he was sure they'd notice the dropping temperatures too. "We have to do this now though, or we may miss our chance to leave this place." His grip tightened on his blade, he would have to be ready for anything, he knew that some people may be loyal to that madman, and if they got in his way...if they harmed Jessica, he would not forgive them. "Are you ready?"

"I know this will put us at risk, but if we just sit here and do nothing then we will be caught for sure. I don't want to suffer anymore. I don't want either of us to suffer anymore. I know he'll come for us, but we will just have to fight our way off this island if that is what it comes down too. We know Akasun has lured more people here with hopes and dreams, perhaps we can even reach them. Maybe we can change their way of thinking and show them at Akasun is nothing but a madman. I think they should know they are being manipulated. It won't be easy, but we must hope for the best. I am as ready as I will ever be my love."
Jessica gave him a smile as she began concentrating on her Ki. They would freeze this island. Once this island was frozen, they could make it to the boat. They could then freeze the boat, or at least keep it unbearably cold for their journey to the ice caps. With the power that she at Atnas had, it would not take long for the cave they were in to begin spewing out the cold, chilly wind that would cause the snow to fall, and the tropical island to become a winter wonderland.

Absolute Zero| Level 4| Ki: 850| Defiance ███████████████████████████████████████████████ Atnas concentrated on releasing his ki too, this would probably freeze a few areas and give them more room to walk around in. The more of this island that froze over the better it would be, he didn't care if this was going to get them noticed, they needed to move and they needed to do it quickly. He had to admit he was already tempted to see how much was frozen by now, it probably wouldn't be too much since they were far away from other areas, but it'd be enough. "Shall we go see what we've done so far?" Atnas asked, he had a feeling he wouldn't be able to do that again without rest...maybe about a day would be good enough.

Jessica could feel the fatigue setting in as well. She stopped when Atnas did and took a few deep breaths before nodding to him. "Yes, let's go see what we've done. We will need to see how much we were able to freeze before we proceed. And if we stay in one spot for too long, Akasun will be able to find us. Let's move." Jessica reached out and took Atnas's hand in hers as she headed out of the cave to see what they had done so far.

"That's that I guess..." That wasn't good enough for her, she wanted to be absolutely sure so she took a look around, she saw footprints and took note of them, one set was most likely a male's set while the other was female. The footprints were also extremely close together which made her believe a male and female were here, she also assumed they knew the absolute zero style because of all the ice, but something different happened to them...it was more powerful, like with the vampire ordeal. "I think we got all we need." Emma said before exiting.[/exit]

Emma asked, she thought her glasses looked pretty good with what she was currently wearing, it didn't help stop her from being cold though. "What do you suggest we do first?" Emma asked, she knew step one was to follow the footprints, but they were very faint...

Profile۞Jonathan Haste۞ "You look lovely." He smiled at Emma, before looking down at the footprints. He switched the sunglasses to their binocular setting, and looked off into the distance. The footprints were faint, so he wasn't actually able to see where they were going through the binoculars, but he thought they were going toward the campus. "Well." He began, changing the sunglasses back to their normal setting. "We did just get these sunglasses. We could check out the cave again with them. I don't think we'll get anything even with the thermal, and x-ray vision, but it won't hurt to check."Ω [Level 3][Energy: 550] Ω

Emma said with a small laugh and a smile befoe beginning to look around, anything would prove that others were here first besides footprints, she needed to see something that would help her believe somebody was here earlier. "Hey, look at that." Emma said, pointing at scraps of cloth on the ground, it wasn't going to lead them to anybody, but it proved someone was here, and next to it were marks on the ground from where the ice spread out toward the island, so unless there was some weird happenings around here then that was proof. "That's one thing..." She wrote what she saw down in a notebook, along with the time she found it and notes on what she believed. "Should we continue to look around or head back to the campus?" It was small proof, but encouraging.

When she asked whether they should back to the campus or not, he took one last look around the cave and shrugged.
