Ed shifted his grip on his nightstick and heavy, currently off, flashlight. Looking the large dog straight in the eye, he told it firmly "You either wake up your human, or I'm going to wake up your human."

The Arcanine's ears flattened in discomfort at the thought of waking Kohl up himself. Let her displeasure be more general, or better yet, at this stubborn human. He stood and and took a solid stance, grit scraping beneath his paws.

"Whoever you are back there, its time to wake up," Ed said firmly and loudly. Of course, if they had slept through that screech, a loud voice was unlikely to bestir them. But Ed was fairly sure he'd woken the person. "You need to recall your Arcanine, and move along. You can't sleep here." Ed took a step forward towards the alley.

The advance was not unnoticed. The Arcaine shifted slightly to block the man better and bared his teeth. Blind as well as deaf, this man.
Kohl released an aggravated growl. "Can too, at least, without god-awful blasts like that." Kohl sat up, stretched, straining her tattered top. "and I can't. Pokeball's broke. " She shrugs in a exaggerated way.

"All right, ma'am, let me rephrase that. You are not allowed to sleep there, and if you don't move on, I'm going to have to take you down to the station. There is a pokemon center with free rooms for trainers just two buildings down. I'm sure they can repair your pokeball there too," Ed said firmly, taking several more steps forward, bringing him to the mouth of the alley.

Kohl yawns. What a bummer. She leans forward to see him better, propping her head on her chin, and bats her eyes. "Oh~, can't you just let it go this time?"
Taka rolls his eyes. A few more steps, and.... Ok, that's it. Taka takes one long stride and butts the man in the chest, sinking to a slight crouch and bristling out all his fur and reading his gleaming dentition for display for when the man recovers from the firm shove.

"I don't think so-oof!" Ed is firmly shoved by the large head. "I don't think so, boy. Down!" Ed commands firmly, emphasizing his command with a firm rap of his nightstick, aimed at the dog's nose.

Taka's jaws clacked together. His whole face throbbed. His stance sagged. He saw red. He would murder this intractable creature! With a boiling growl he readied an upward lunge that would result in his opponents face and his skull residing in different locals.
"Play nice, boys!"
The cheery phrase was nonetheless a warning, and Taka redirected his attack at the offending nightstick. If the offending limb was damaged in the process, all the better.

Ed's wrist was wrenched rather painfully as he fought for control of his nightstick, but he didn't let that stop him. He brought his heavy flashlight crashing down towards the tender spot just behind the ear, and spun his nightstick out of the Arcanine's grasp and around to hopefully clip the soft spot under the jaw.

Taka chokes on a snarl as the Officer's flashlight thumps into his throat, then swings to the flashlight bearing arm, according it the same respect.

Ed winces as his other arm gets torqued as well, but remains calm and aims another sturdy thump at the dog's nose, scolding as he brings the club down. "Bad dog. Release!"
