Lizzy had earlier texted Jericho about a spar, and without waiting for a reply, put on her srs bzn clothes, and made her way down to the gym. In her duffer bag was a bottle of water and a towel, nothing more, nothing less; it wasn't like her to not carry around lots of other things, but she didn't want to get distracted... After all, Levi had given her some very good advice, and she was intending to use it.
When she reached the gym, she hovered near the door, looking for any signs of the dragon; they needed to talk too, so hopefully they could kill two birds with one stone - train, and have a lovely conversation.

It seemed that as of late, Jericho was getting challenged a lot. But really, he didn't mind! He was a little surprised that Lizzy was one of the people who decided to practice against him. But in any case, he was still willing to go up against her.
So, soon after receiving the text, he made his way to the gym, where he saw the spider demon waiting for him.
"Hope you weren't waiting for long," he grinned as he waved to her, "I have to say though. Didn't really expect to receive a challenge from you."

"Jericho!" She seemed glad to see the boil looking well, especially after seeing him looking so defeated not too long ago, "Nope, not long at all!" She smiled, giving him a quick hug before taking his arm, tugging him into the gym.
"Not a challenge, per say," She shook her head, looking determined as she gestured to herself, "Train me. Out of the people I know, you are probably one of the only ones aside from Levi who know how to fight... And I mean like fight-fight, not flail-arms-around-fight." Which happened to be her choice of fighting style at times, especially whenever she got anxious.

For a moment, Jericho raised an eyebrow, but then he grinned at his friend.
"Well either way, I can do that. Not really sure what to say as far as advice goes right now, so let's get down to business, shall we?"
That said, he flared his wings out for the moment, then brought his fists up.
"Let's see what you got."

She grinned when Jericho agreed to her little request, releasing herself from him and dumping her bag at the side.
"I'll have to call you Mr Jericho again, right?" She giggled, inhaling deeply before she mimicked the boil's pose from where she was standing, with a few... Lizzy adjustments anyway, "Or Teacher Jericho? Ohhh, both have a nice ring to it."

"No need for either title," Jericho chuckled. After she had dropped her bag, he watched her for a moment. After a bit of silent, he rushed in at her, clenching his right hand. As he grinned, he brought up, swinging to throw a punch at Lizzy.
"We're on equal ground as far as I know! Just give it your all!"

She brought her arms up in an attempt to block the punch, although he still managed to both send her skidding backwards and hurt her arm; she was sure there would be bruises on several parts of her body by the end of this.
"Awww, but Mr Jericho!" She pouted before throwing a punch of her own; she might not be physically strong, but she was feeling frustrated and it probably showed in the way she moved, "You know, why are boils so difficult to figure out? They say ghouls are complicated but boils... Boils aren't easy to understand either."

Lizzy's punch was lacking a bit in... power. Though, that was something that could be fixed. Stepping in, he brought up his other hand to try and punch her with that one this time around. A glancing blow of sorts.
"Oh? What makes you say that? We aren't too hard to figure out.. I think. It could just be me though," he said, wondering what was bringing up this conversation.

Lizzy might had squeaked when Jericho threw another punch, but somehow held her ground, "W-well... You tell someone you like them and that you'll protect them, and then you go ahead and break their heart." Her eyes started to tear up, and her vision blurred, but she didn't seem to let it affect her, "Then you go ahead to try and protect them anyway, when they faced danger."
She sighed loudly and then kicked Jericho, aiming for his leg - since that was the only area she could hit anyway - with the power of a frustrated spider.

The answer surprised Jericho. It made him think back to when he first met Lizzy at the gym. She had been incredibly distressed, especially after stealing a glance back at Mac.
"This is about Mac isn't it...?" he asked while furrowing his brow. In his distraction, he didn't quite see the kick coming. Letting out a grunt, the afflicted leg buckled from the impact and he ended up dropping to one knee for a moment.
Right. Fighting. To try and keep Lizzy away while he recovered, he lashed out with one of his wings to bat her back.

"It's that obvious, huh?" She replied softly, her voice shaking as she cleared her throat, "He broke up with me, on the grounds that he had been treating it as a game all along, and that he got tired of it..." She stumbled backwards when Jericho used his wings, taking a moment to wipe the tears away and regain her composure.
"I feel so silly worrying about this when there are humans trying to kill us," She frowned, "But I can't help feeling that Mac was lying to me. I don't know why, but it felt like he was just saying those things to break up with me... Why would he do that though? Mr Jericho?" She threw another punch out, "Why?"

Jericho wasn't grinning anymore. This news was pretty shocking actually. He didn't know Mac was really capable of doing something like that. And quite frankly, it made him feel a little torn on what to think of him now. Mac was a friend after all, but so was Lizzy.
"I.. I don't know Lizzy. And I'm sorry to hear this happened to you," he said. The conversation was doing well to lower his guard as he took a more solid punch soon after he had gotten back up. Stumbling back a bit, he shook his head and swung back at the girl, but with less force.
"If I knew the answer, I'd tell you."

"I wish he was the one saying sorry," She muttered bitterly, although she caught herself saying that and instantlt felt bad for thinking that way, "No, I... Ugh, I still like him." Love him. Stupid her.
"I'm sorry. For dumping this on you," She tried her best not to cry anymore, but the more she thought about Mac, the more her chest ached and the more she needed to just let it all out, "I wasn't sure who else to ask... I needed a boil's prospective on this."
She concentrated her Fear at her fingertips, putting them together before pulling them apart to reveal spider thread, "Fight me seriously, Jericho." She leaned towards him briefly before stepping back, moving her hands to guide the thread to wrap around her spar partner, pulling the threads taut, "I... I can take it. I can't feel very much right now."
Was she emo or what.

"I don't really know what to tell you, Lizzy. Some guys.. are just like that. They don't really want a real relationship. Maybe they're just in it for the sex. Granted, there's probably some girls that way too," Jericho frowned before wincing as he found himself being wrapped around with tight, sharp, webs. Right. Fighting.
"Ah sorry. Just got. kind of distracted I guess. But you can talk to me whenever. You're a good friend, after all," he started before he took in a deep breath. It was getting hard to move with these webs, but he had one idea of how to get her to stop.
Within the next moment, he unleashed a large plume of FEAR infused flames at the spider demon.

"For sex, huh...?" She echoed darkly, looking away briefly, "So even if you give it to them, they'll just discard you afterwards?"
It did get her to stop, the threads dissipating as she ducked, moving to the side to avoid being burnt, "If I'm 40 and still unmarried, and you're... However old you are at the time, want to get together?" She raised both hands, "No strings attached."
Very punny.
"Oh! Except one!" She held up a finger, "I've always wanted a daughter."
