Bell had fallen asleep next to a berry bush. It was supposed to have been just a light nap in the shade, but pretty soon she had fallen into a deep, comfortable sleep. And that was why she did not hear the steps of a pokemon trainer's feet until she had almost reached Bell!
The delibird, thoroughly startled, squawked her disapproval and began waddling away as quickly as she could. She had gone only a few feet, however, when she suddenly turned around to face the trainer with a glare in her eye that could only mean one thing: Time to battle!

Thumbs were casually stuffed in the pockets on either side of River's narrow hips, letting out a sigh the nineteen-year old flicked her tongue across the silver loop at the corner of her mouth, today was just one of those days. Lifting her vision from the cushioned ground that was littered with long blades of lush green the athletic framed trainer paused.
"Rooooroow," seductively mewled Silo into her ear as he tenderly took her earlobe into his beak and nibbled on it teasingly causing the longhaired youth to shiver and blush ever so slightly. Puffing out his sizable chest with its silken plumage the darkness pokemon released his grip on her ear then roughly nuzzled his head into the crook of her neck. "Roorororo." Openly declared Silo in his scratchy gruff voice.
"Shh," River retorted as she brought her finger to his beak signaling him to be silent, flicking his pointed tongue out the masculine bird tasted the sweet pad of his mate's gorgeous finger. "Would you stop that, you perv. Listen... I hear something." Barely a few feet away icy blue eyes spotted clumsily movement from a bright creature. "Oh em gee! Silo! Look it's a delibird! It's so chubby and cute! I have to get it! Come on, handsome!"
Instinctively the murkrow's large love struck eyes narrowed into dangerous slits, it was a wild pokemon, loudly screaming towards the other bird venomously. This was his human! No one else's!
"MURKROROROW!"

No one called Bell chubby and got away with it! And then that stupid murkrow had the nerve to state his claim to the human out loud? As if Bell would want to have anything to do with that ugly human who had dared to call her fat!
"DELIDELDELBIRD! BIRDEL!" she squawked back, calling both River and Silo rather rude names.

Oh no, no, no! That hideous creature didn’t just call his beloved mate that! Screeching loudly yet again Silo took flight and shot forward not even waiting for River to give him commands.
“Rooooroooroo!” Angrily seethed the lean figured Murkrow, he was not about to let her get away with what she said. Not while he was able to defend the honor of his darling mate.
"Silo! What are you doing! Oh jeez---"

Bell winced from the poison, but quickly shook it off and focused her energy on one wing. She took off from the ground and flapped, still concentrating, until she was flying back at Silo at a formidable speed. Then she drew back one wing and tried to punch the murkrow squarely in the beak.

“I can’t believe you did that! I am glad that delibird smacked you! You deserved it for attacking without my permission! Bad boy, Silo, bad! Jeeez! What am I gonna do with you?! Let’s crank up the temperature--- Heat Wave now!” Viciously snapped the longhaired redhead as the Murkrow took the punch straight to his crooked beak then slid backwards calling out in pain.
Hopping up onto his claws and stabilizing himself Silo shook his head for a moment straightening himself out, snapping his sharp beak closed with a loud clack he flapped his wings wildly and attempted to gather the energy for the attack that his trainer wanted him to use.

Bell hated hot weather! That attack was the worst! Now she felt too hot and she probably wouldn't cool down to a comfortable temperature until she had rested in the shade for a couple of hours. That was inconvenient!
She flew toward Silo and focused herself for another punch.

The next attack that the wild pokemon performed was nowhere near as potent as the strike that it had thrown before, however it still hurt. Cawing as the tip of the delibird’s wing slammed into his chest Silo pumped his wings back and forth in effort to gain some space from the delivery pokemon.
Flapping with powerful down strokes Silo threw a glare towards the female bird. She had no clue whom she was messing with. Gritting her teeth together River raised her voice so that her Murkrow could hear her over the noise of the fight.
“Awesome job! Use Heat Wave again buddy! Keep it on the ropes!”

A couple of Bell's fluffy white down feathers drifted off of her as she endured the next sweltering attack. She didn't let it slow her down, though; she picked up top speed again and tried to punch the annoying murkrow again.

Again the wild delibird slammed its wing into Silo’s crooked beak, the attack send him flying into a nearby berry bush. Sweet ripened fruit scattered onto the ground spilling its delicious juice onto the grass, really it was such a waste. Lookit would have had a heart attack if he had been the one battling.
Snorting with discomfort the Murkrow rushed forward a few inches then clawed at the ground waiting for his beloved’s command.
“Toxic again! Try to make it a doozy!”

Bell wasn't about to let that happen! She dodged the poison and began round four with yet another focus punch. It was rather repetitive, but she figured that the dark pokemon appreciated each separate punch, despite the lack of creativity on her part.

“Maaaarorooooogaaaawaaa!” Bitterly cried Silo upon being hit yet again. Really, was this the only move the wild pokemon knew? No way! It couldn’t be. Sawing his beak back and forth the overly possessive Murkrow puffed out his chest yet again then let out a low pitched growl. “(Who do you think you are?! Don’t you know who I am? Can’t you see this is my woman! Hmm? You are making me look bad, ugly peasant—)” Silo loudly barked from across the short distance.
“Calm down, sweetie! Use Heat wave again! You got this baby!”

Bell lost several more feathers in the next heat wave. In fact, it was so hot that she fell out of the air, landing rather roughly and panting to try and cool down. She glared up at her opponent. That was not okay.
She threw herself at Silo again, this time hoping to grab him and throw him down with a seismic toss.

Another grunt escaped from Silo’s crooked maw as he took the rather physical blow, wincing pathetically the murkrow threw a glance over his shoulder towards his trainer then lowered his head just a bit. He was losing his steam rather quickly and couldn’t help it, this fat delibird was tougher than it looked---
“Silo we need to buy some time, try to paralyze him using Thunder Wave!”
