Niji stealthily picked his way through the underbrush. Arriving at an old tree with the thick roots, he looked around, then quickly buried the oran berry he was carrying. Covering the berry, he carefully scratched leaf litter back on top of his cache. He started to walk casually away from his hiding spot when he froze. A noise! Had someone followed him? They wanted to steal his food!

Moncho's stomach was growling, so he set out to find some tasty berries to eat. As he made his way through the underbrush, he heard some scratching up ahead. He trudged forward, only wishing to pass through, but then caught a wiff of an oran berry. Maybe there was a bush nearby. As he got closer to the scratching sound, some leaves moved and he caught sight of something silvery moving away from him. It looked to be another pokemon.

Niji looked around. Turning, he spotted a Bulbasaur. "" Niji hissed angrily, sending a stinging swarm of Swift stars at the interloper.

Moncho was startled at the Eevee's abrupt attack. He must have intruded upon the other pokemon's territory or perhaps came upon his food. Nonetheless, Moncho wasn't going to just take a beating without fighting back. He used Vine Whip, hoping to deflect some of the stars and land a hit on the Eevee.

Niji hissed as the vine cracked sharply against his side, then whirled on it with sharp teeth, intent on getting the other Pokemon to go away!

Ouch! That bite hurt! What was making this eevee so angry?
Moncho used razor leaf, letting out a spew of sharp leaves, hoping to knock the eevee off his vine.

His attack had missed! Darn! More swift stars hit him, and he winced from the pain. Throwing all his weight into it, he charged at the eevee.

The Bulbasaur careened into Niji, sending him tumbling. Quickly regaining his feet, Niji saw that the other pokemon was now closer to his hiding spot than he had been before. Snarling, he gathered a mass of darkly pulsing energy, before sending it blasting at his foe.

Moncho hit the eevee hard and ran past him. He skidded to a stop and turned around, just in time to be hit with the shadow ball. Reeling from the attack, he stumbled a bit, regaining his balance. He then let loose another razor leaf attack!

Niji yelped as several of the sharp leaves caught him. His rainbow tipped tail thrashed angrily behind him, and then another volley of stars was flying towards the Bulbasaur.

More stars! Geez! He took the onslaught, feeling weaker as they pelted against him. He tried to dodge, but there was no escaping the attack. Once he recovered just a bit, he let loose a seed bomb attack.

The exploding seed knocked Niji around, and the loud sound hurt his ears. Annoyed, he dropped his head and charged.

The headbutt sent him tumbling backwards. After a few seconds break, he stood up and shook himself, finding his target again. He was growing weaker the longer this battle went. Gritting his teeth, again, he sent a spew of sharp leaves towards the eevee,
