The Inn of Last Home is the largest building in Solace, it's a tavern and inn for weary travelers and the people of Solace of course. It is run by a single family who have owned it for years. The Inn of last home as a fireplace down stairs and the promise of good meals. The family who runs the inn sees the value of having the Kenku outside Solace and are even friends with the cheif of the Kenku.

After a surprisingly short walk, Leos had arrived in Solace. He was nearby the Inn of Last Home too. He walked up the stairs at the bottom of the valenewood tree to the large building, opened the door and was met by an eerie silence. He crept up to the desk, rang the bell once and awaited an arrival.

Carmon heard the bell ring at the desk and walked toward it. He was a very large man, though he had a much larger stomach then he did in his youth, he still had the strength of 3 men. The inn hadn't technically open yet, but they were almost ready to. The smell of food wafted from the kitchen. Carmon smiled at the elf standing at the desk "Hey stranger Welcome to the Inn of Last Home. What can I do for ya?"

Leos jumped. He was looking around as people filed down the stairs and several began to hit the bar. He had turned to Carmon and said, "Ah yes, the chief of the Kenku, Poe, had sent me here hoping you could set me up with lodging. I had surrendered my last gold to him as part of my toll to pass. Speaking of tolls, 'two travelers have crossed the path,' or something like that. That's his message to you." He turned and looked at the bar. He heard some rough housing in there. He leaned to the side to get a better look when someone went flying out of the doorway. Leos ran with an unnatural speed, stepped between the man who was flying and a wall, and stopped the collision. He felt little, to no resistance as he stopped the man.

Carmon smiled at Leo's small story. "Sorry about that, Solace doesn't have a military so the Kenku are really our only defense from raiders. Most of the people here are farmers, the elderly, children, and retired adventurers like myself." Carmon laughed holding his large stomach "Though you wouldn't know it from looking at me now, I'm the offical taste tester for my wife's newest menu items for the inn now." Caramon placed a key on the desk. "Your room is on the second floor, third door to the left, it isn't a royal bedroom, but it's decent." After the man came flying in and Leo managed to stop him a loud 'BONG' sound was heard followed by the yelling of a woman and several more 'BONG' sounds before the woman calmly said. "Who else wants to start fighting?" Caramon let out sigh, but still smiled and joined the woman in the tavern trying to calm everyone down.

Leos accepted his key and began ascending the stairs. As he got to the top of the first flight, patrons began emerging from their room to go downstairs to eat their breakfast. Leos avoided eye contact and made his way to the next flight. He got to the next floor to find it dead silent. He liked it already. He entered his designated room and tossed his rucksack on the floor, fell on his bed and was asleep before landing on the bed.

After Caramon and the woman settled everything down and people went back to their food and drink he turned to tell their new customer that breakfast was ready, but the elf was gone. He assumed that the man went to his room to get settled and walked to the room. He knocked on the door "Hey if your hungry it's breakfast time."

Leos jumped at the sound of the a knocking. The sound of his short sword would be audible to Caramon, even behind the door. He took a full minute to process what he had just heard. He sheathed the weapon and opened the door. "Yeah, I'll eat, thanks." He followed the innkeeper down the two flights of stairs and into the small tavern. The place was filled with residents of Solace, patrons of the inn, wonderful smelling foods, alcohol and a faint smell of... Old Birch tree? It must be the inn itself. The wood smelled like it was rotting in some places. He knew alot about trees for an elf. He was raised Spriggans. Leos received a plate of eggs, and a salad. He set the bacon aside for whoever was drunk enough to ask for it. He pulled out a book on language from his inner pocket on his jacket. He searched what book to search for to learn the language of the Kenku, Kreetog. He was pleased to find out he already owned the book and he would research the language soon enough. With a snap, the book was closed and back inside his jacket and he began to eat his salad. The eggs were a bit too heavy for his weak stomach at the moment. He would give them away too. Leos finished his salad after a few minutes. He sighed his relief and soon fell asleep at the table. 'Leeeeoossss....Coommmmeeee to meeeeee.....' His dream was strange. A diamond shaped gem or a smoky color was speaking to him, no. Was controlling him. Leos' eyes snapped open and he had a knife in his hand, wandering through the halls of the first floor hallway.

The gem had been comunicating with Leos through telepathy even though he was far away he was able to make contact. 'Come to the Doran Mountains, there you will meet a sorcerer. He currently holds me, you must hurry he intends to destroy me...hurry Leos, before it's too late.'
