Between worrying about her case with Mac and the possible destruction of Halloween, Lizzy was kind of in a not-good mood; it wasn't that she was grumpy or feeling stressed, but more of she was just... Not feeling happy and in need of some serious cheering up. Perhaps that was why she had decided to go to the Maul; there was always something going on there, and the place was so big and ever changing that she never knew when she might stumble into a new shop...
And as luck would have it, she found an interesting looking cafe, tucked in a corner, that had a sizable library of books within it... A book cafe?
She lingered at the entrance, wondering if she give the place a try; it looked relatively empty and quiet, after all, and reading a good book while sipping from a glass of iced lemon tea and eating a slice of mud pie sounded like what she needed...

The recent "trouble" with the Hunters had Thackery in a shaky, terrible mood as well; having missed the field trip, this was the boil's first real encounter with them, and if anything was a wake up call about how exactly not awesome he was, that was it.
As it was nearing that crucial time of Twelfth October when gift exchange was supposed to happen, he had finally pried himself out of bed, gotten dressed, and tried to ignore the flashbacks that crept into his mind when he wasn't specifically thinking about the present.
So he'd occupied himself with another type of present. Clutched in one hand was a list of gifts that he needed to hunt down, paired with a list of potential stores that could offer what he needed.
And the first two boils on his list were going to require poking through some kind of book store.
Pleased to have located one after a lengthy bit of wandering around, he was just about to enter when he spotted someone familiar. With a quizzical frown, he made his best guess.
"Lizzy?"

The voice was unfamiliar to her, although the fact that someone knew her name meant that the owner of the voice must surely know her. Thus, she found herself turning around, coming face to face with a rather familiar looking boil... That hair, those ears... Where had she seen him before? His name was on the tip of her tongue, but-
"You're that boil with the adorable minipet during the Movie Night! Uh, held during spirit week!" She grinned, proud that she remembered even though it was such a long time ago; so many things had happened since then, after all, that she was pretty happy that this boil remembered her as well; after all, she looked a little different than she did a year ago, when she first enrolled in the school, "Thackery, right...?"

As the ghoul recognized him, Thackery's eyes lit up, his tail wagging happily. Though he'd deluded himself into thinking he had some kind of fantastic reputation, it thrilled him when someone remembered him. "Yes! Yes, that's me. I don't have my minipets today, though." He seemed genuinely crestfallen about this. "It's been..." He paused, as if he were trying to do the math, before finally shaking his head and continuing on. "A really long time! Have you been okay? You look really good! And older! Oh, Jack, not old, but...you know, uh..." Nothing. "Well, maybe, if you have time, we could get a drink and catch up?" They were not particularly close before, but he loved being social, and if she was willing... Dragain omg 2 months late nyet are you serious SO SORRY

"Aww, it's alright! I don't have mine with me either!" She nodded, and gave him a thumbs-up, as if expecting that to cheer him up or something; she really wasn't sure why, but seeing Thackery upset... Well, she just never want to see him upset, "And it has! It's been forever. I hope you've been fine though?"
She giggled at his comments, "Thank you! Oh, do I? Well, older in a good way, I hope! You look as-" Cute. Adorable. Cute and adorable. Fluffy. Very fluffy. "-Fashionable as ever! Love your outfit!" There, something acceptable to say to a monster boil... Probably.
"I would love that!" She smiled, clapping her hands together in excitement, "So many crazy things had happened that it would be nice to just... You know, sit down, talk over a drink or two."
