She had been visiting the reaper dorms frequently lately; ever since her little spar slash talk with Levi, she had decided to take the ghoul's advice and go challenge Mac to a duel. The only problem was that she had no idea how to explain it to the boil, since she had never been the type to talk with her fists. Or legs. Or Fear. She was more of the 'let's sit down and talk about this' type of person, and had even reprimanded Shun for trying to resolve a conflict through his fist in the past.
What to do, what to do...?
She ended up pacing around the main entrance of the reaper dorms, looking rather anxious as she sighed every once in a while; she felt silly to be worrying about such a small thing when the whole of Halloween could be in danger thanks to the hunters, but this was about her... She could be selfish once in a while too, right? Nobody would blame her for wanting to sort her own life out before attempting to help save Halloween, right?
Right. Probably.

Shibey had a mind of his own, like all familiars; unlike most familiars, he had a strong sense of ambition. He had chosen Anna, after all, not the other way around. And he wanted to know as much or more about this school they'd come to than his beautiful witchling pet.
Thus, the Incubator was out and about, padding through the Reaper dorms, looking at various doorways and making mental notes on the various inhabitants. A number of them could benefit from Incubators, he felt, though of course none of the others had as much potential as his Anna...
And then, at the door, there was something that wasn't a Reaper at all. Familiar, though. He had seen her before. Yes, in that class, that was it. He watched her pace for a moment. < That's an unusual way to get exercise, > he said, after he was tired of watching.

Since she wasn't paying much attention to her surroundings, the sudden voice - especially since she was sure the voice was in her head - startled her, causing her to jump. Once she regained her composure, she looked around to try to find the source of the voice, only to spot a rather cute looking minipet at the dorms; did it have an owner?
"Hello there?" She couldn't help staring into its eyes, although there was slightly unnerving about the way it was looking at her... That and the minipet reminded her of something she had seen before, in the past.

< Good day, > Shibey said, his mental voice neutral. Maybe slightly apathetic-
"Shibeyyyy!" The name echoed down the hallway. "Shibey, where are you?" There was a hint of frustration in the words. Anna could, of course, have brought Shibey back to her forcibly just by unsummoning him and then resummoning him once more, but if she did that he'd be displeased, and... she didn't like him when he was displeased. At all.
The witchling looked disheveled as she emerged from one of the hallways, her hat askew on her head, one glove missing, no shoes, and her socks slumping around her ankles. Normally she wouldn't have left her room in such a state, but she hadn't expected to need to! "Shibey! There you are, you horrible thing," she scolded, scooping him up. The Incubator's expression didn't change as he was collected up like a rag doll.
... There was someone else here. Anna tensed then nodded awkwardly at the pink-haired ghoul. "U-um, thank you for... finding him?" she offered, tentatively.

When the minipet begun to speak, Lizzy couldn't help looking surprised, not even bothering to hide her fascination as her eyes widened; the last time a minipet spoke to her, it turned out to be Jove in his natural form - a foxfire - and not a minipet at all. Before she could ask if this talking minipet was a student, someone else - a witch? - picked it up.
"Shibey? Is that his name?" She asked before blushing, quickly dipping her head in greeting; she was sure that she had seen that ghoul around somewhere, but couldn't quite place her finger on it. Instead, she settled for smiling when she thanked her, "O-oh, you're very welcome, although I think he found me instead... Not the other way round." She giggled softly before approaching the two.
"I'm Lizzy, by the way," Her smile widened, and then faltered slightly when she realized the state of dress the poor ghoul was in, "Oh, um... Are you alright...?"

"Yes, this is Shibey, and he's been a very bad familiar." Every one of those last three words was accompanied with a shake, making the Incubator's head jostle, though he did not change expression at all. "Lizzy... ohhh, wait, I remember you! You were in the Acting class with me, right?"
At Lizzy's last question, Anna looked at her strangely, then looked down at her own feet and sighed. "Oh... I was just going to practice in my room, so... I didn't feel like getting all dressed up?" she said, sheepishly.

Lizzy had to admit that while Shibey was adorable, his unchanging expression was rather unnerving.
"Ohh! Right! Acting class!" She nodded, clapping her hands together as she grinned, "I remember now! I never did catch your name though..." Her expression turned sheepish as she paused, almost like she was waiting for the ghoul to introduce herself, "Practice? For acting class?"
She did remember something about a homework... Although she wasn't sure what sort of practice was needed with that.

"I, um.... yes. I still have to do the homework," Anna said, looking evasive. "And I got glow in the dark face paint, so I thought maybe I could pretend to be a ghost or something... Reapers aren't very scary." She scuffed at the ground with one socked toe.

"Ah, I got the make-up kit..." She smiled sheepishly; it was a small make-up kit with not much to work with, and so much had happened that she just hadn't gotten the time to sit down and work on the homework yet.
"Ohh, well, that might work?" She nodded, trying to be encouraging, "Aw... Well, the professor did tell us to try...? I'm sure he'll give us some tips if things don't go well." Not that the professor was being very encouraging during class, but who knows? He might still surprise them!
"Want to do the homework together?" She offered, "I could run back to get the make-up kit and come back here to meet you?"

"O-oh, I was just practicing... there's not that much paint, I don't think I'm ready to actually... scare someone yet," Anna stammered, suddenly self-conscious. "Are you a Reaper too? I think a boil in the acting class thought I was you, at first."

"Aww, alright then," She smiled, feeling a little awkward all of a sudden but trying to ignore that feeling, "Thought I would just offer!"
At the question, she shook her head, "I'm a demon! And yup... Neil mistook you for me." She giggled, although her attention soon went to the familiar in the reaper's arms, "I've never seen a familiar like yours before... What is he? I mean, if you don't mind me asking..."

"He's an Incubator, um... they make contracts. With people. Reapers, I guess. And become their familiars." She glanced down at Shibey; the familiar just nodded once. "I think maybe some of his kind have been around here before? Roch, um, was kind of sca- um, uncomfortable. He kept talking about frilly dresses and stuff."

"Oh? What sort of contracts?" She knew that a lot of Reaper's familiars tend to refer to their bond as a contract, but that word just... Reminded her a little too much about demonic contracts, which made her just a little bit uncomfortable.
She glanced briefly at the Incubator, "Really? Well, it's my first time meeting one! Hm... I did see something that looked a little like him before though!" It was not an experience that could be summed up with frilly dresses, unfortunately; it was much, much worse.

"Um, the usual sort, I guess?" Anna squirmed; she hadn't really had to explain it before. "He, um, gave me... some better magic, I guess. In trade for being my familiar?"
Shibey looked back at Lizzy, unblinking. "I think lots of people saw something kinda like him," Anna continued, a little awkwardly. "It wasn't Shibey, though. He was with me, and before that he was... in a rock. So."

"Ah... I guess I had heard of reapers making contracts with their familiars before... You're just the first one that I had ever met or spoken to!" She couldn't take her eyes off the familiar once she was actually staring at it; that expression of his was almost creepy, and she wasn't sure if that was in a good or bad way.
"In... A rock?" She looked away, back to Anna, "Ah... Yeah, I actually thought that he was a minipet at first-" A quick glance at the familiar and Lizzy had to force herself not to stare, "- since he kind of looked like one... Maybe the creatures that other students had seen were minipets?" It sounded plausible!
"Oh! Since you're new and all, if you ever need someone to show you around, I could!" She smiled; anything to take her mind off of Mac and... And... Everything connected to Mac.
