Bedros laid quietly on his back underneath the hot sun that shone proudly above in the clear blue sky. He liked being in the warmer climate area of the world but found himself curious to see what snow was like. After all, it would probably be best for him to get to know all climates if he decided to take over a old packs lands or create his own. Although, right now he was quite content with his mothers pack plans and even more so being on his own. Rolling over onto his side his eyes closed slightly into slits. His eyes were trained on a small hare that was wandering around in search of food. He wasn't particularly hungry or in the mood to torture the defenseless creature so he watched in disgust as it sniffed around at the ground. Bedros was longing for entertainment, but in something a bit more challenging. He had, had his fill of meager prey and wanted larger game, game that had more wits. Or so he hoped.

With a quick umph sound Bedros rose to his feet and stretched out his body. Then he lightly shook himself to free himself of some of the dry dirt but didn't commit enough to it to shake all of it out. Let's see what's out there today. He thought to himself with a large grin as she began to walk in the opposite direction of the hare. As he walked he pressed his paws into the dry dirt with firm and confident steps. He was a wolf with a mission. And even more so a male with one. Which, he wasn't quite sure if that meant he was more a threat to others or not. He supposed a female could be just as threatening, like his mother, although he doubted it. Bedros knew he was strong as he had seriously injured quite a few wolves who thought they could be the dominate male of the land without to much trouble. But then again maybe it was just because they were not a challenge. Either way he was bored and needed something to do.

User ImageAs a storyteller, Senka had been enjoying a rich life in her travels. She had met many different wolves and gathered a variety of stories to add to her collection. As a warrior, life had been a little dull lately. The largest challenge she had faced was an ornery hog, but it was old, its tusks dull, and it had not taken too terribly much effort on her part to bring it down.

However, the shadow-coated femme found that she did not particularly mind.

She was a warrior, true, but she favored the intellectual side of her existence to the exertion of brute force. This was not to say that she could not hold her own - quite the contrary - but only a contest of minds could really satisfy her.

Ah, but that was neither here nor there. Right now, she was suffering from the excessive heat of the region. Truly. She was a mountain wolf, accustomed to harsh winters and mild summers. This vicious heat was less than appealing to her.

Regardless, Senka figured that she should at least devote a little of her time to the area. It would not do to miss out on whatever interesting things the region held simply because she disliked the weather. No, she would suffer through it, and hopefully meet some interesting wolves for her efforts.

As he walked his eyes scanned the horizon for something interesting. What it was he wasn't quite sure but he found himself grinning in anticipation anyways. Oh how he loved surprises. Well, for the most part he did. He liked that each one could be different and unique. Such as an encounter with a rogue male or female. Or some prey. Any of those was well welcomed. Which is why his grin only grew as he noticed a jet black female coming into view.

Stepping up his pace a bit, Bedros couldn't help but wonder what this encounter would bring. Would her name be one familiar to him in the rogue lands? Or would she be a fiery and feisty? Either or he was intrigued.

When he finally was but a short distance from her he stopped and stood a bit proudly. Though, not overly so as to come off cocky. Although, he wouldn't deny that he was indeed a bit of the latter. "Hello there." He said, a slightly smaller grin now crossing his maw.

Oh? What was this? Such a boldly colored male, and so forward, too. At the very least he should be able to get her mind off of the heat. Even that much would be a blessing. At the most, Senka could only pray that he would be able to provide her with adequate entertainment. After all, here she was, suffering for her curiosity. The least she should get is a good story or two. Perhaps some intelligent conversation. Perhaps a little fun.

Hmm...

The female did not think she had strayed onto pack territory. Was he a rogue, then? Or just traveling like her? Did he spend much time in the area? She certainly hoped this would be diverting, though her instincts told her it certainly would be. One way or another.

Ah, but pleasantries first.

"Hello," she replied, minding her manners for the moment. "I did not notice any packs. Are you a traveler?"

Bedros made a slight tsk like noise his grin grew. His eyes scanning her in a very obvious way. "Of sorts." He said, finally resting his pale eyes on her red one's. "What of you?" Bedros responded, not being overly kind but no where near what he was capable of. "It's not often I find myself in the presence of a female so darkly inclined." He added, raising one brow at her coat. He mused for a moment that her heart might be as dark as her coat. Oh how happy that would make him right about now.

She seemed interesting enough to hold his attention for some time. But looks could always be deceiving. Then again, he liked it best when they were. Stepping a bit closer his tail twitched behind him. "My name is Bedros." He said finally. Obviously content enough with her to share that.

Wanted to play, did he? Well, Senka was just fine with that. She let her polite manners fade away as a sly, somewhat mischievous grin took their place.

Was she a traveler? "Of sorts," she replied, though she ignored the comment on her coat. Really, what was there to say to that?

"My name is Senka. I am a storyteller."

She eyed the male as he edged closer to her. Certainly, her warrior instincts forced her to be ready should he choose to attack, but she was really not too concerned about that. In the exceedingly unlikely event that such an event should occur, she would deal with it then. Until such a time, she had more important matters to deal with.

"My instincts tell me that you have an interesting tale or two waiting to be told."

Hm. This female. This Senka, she was willing to play along with him. Well, looks like his wish of this being interesting was going to come true.

Bedros' smile faded. "Senka. A storyteller." He said with a unimpressed tone. Whether he was or not was a mystery that only he knew. "What sort of stories do you tell?" He asked, honestly wanting to know. "I suppose I might have some of interest to someone like you." Shrugging he stepped closer to her, giving no sign that he would attack her. Instead he circled her, getting a better look at her.

"You look strong enough. Well fed. But not overly so." He said as he reached her front again. "Are you from a pack?" Bedros asked. As he waited for her answer he began to wonder what it was exactly he could do with her. He didn't feel quite in the mood to kill her or hurt her in any way. Nor did he feel particularly like leaving her either. Dilemma. He thought to himself as he walked a inch or two away from her before laying down, head resting on his paws. All the while looking at her.

Creeping, creeping. What did this male think of her to be stalking around her so? Did he think she would make a yummy meal? Or a dessert? Or maybe he just found her interesting. Time would tell.

"All sorts of stories," she replied. "Tales of innocent adventure and murderous intrigue, a whirlwind romance or a vicious massacre. Benign or malevolent, they are all fascinating in their own way. I collect as many as I can.

As he lay before her, she cocked her head and curled her tail around her paws like a cat. Yes. There was something very interesting about him. Not precisely magnetic, but it was certainly fascinating, whatever it was.

"I can certainly take care of myself," she said, not sure if she should be pleased or offended by his comments on her looking well-fed. Really, to comment on such a thing. He did not have very good manners.

Ah, but would it be wise to tell him of her pack? Well, even if he were from a pack, her home was very far from here, and he seemed accustomed to the climate. It would be a long way to travel to mount an attack, and Polum'ya wolves were strong. Still, better to be prudent. "Are you?"

Interesting. "Really? Would you care to tell me a tale?" He asked, one eyebrow raised at her.

"I do not belong to a pack. At least not officially. My mother is trying to gather wolves to start one though." He shrugged. "I may join it. Or simply continue as a rogue or maybe venture off to find a pack." Bedros laughed. "I prefer my freedom."

His eyes darted to her's. "Worried I will seek out you're pack are we Senka?" He asked, grinning devilishly. "I may be a brute but I am no fool." Bedros stated. Not that he wouldn't necessarily gather wolves for a fight, but, he was more the kill or injure on his own type. If he wanted someone killed he would do it with his own paws. Not often did he seek out others to help or use for that purpose. Though it was an intriguing thought.

"So Senka. Are stories the only thing you are looking for here?" He asked, honestly wanting to know.

"I could tell you a tale, if you so desire," she agreed.

Ah. But he had called her bluff. Well. What was there to lose, anyway? It was not as though her pack was helpless. Far from it. Her grin turned vicious for a brief moment. "Oh, no, Bedros. I am afraid that if you sought out my pack, you would be the one to suffer."

As for the rest, well...

"The stories are what I am most interested in, but I can be diverted by anything that catches my interest. I do so hate to be bored."

And with that, it was almost as if Senka had struck his heart with an arrow. He was determined now to learn more about her. Beyond that who knew.

"I would like to see them try." He grinned wildly. That alone was enough to make him intrigued. But he still had zero intention of going after the pack. Lest he decide to seek her out down the road. But that would be for an entirely different reason.

"We are the same then." Bedros replied, sitting up and grinning once more. "You have my interest." He said, before letting his grin fall. "Tell me a tale then Senka. I'm interested to hear something..." Bedros paused, looking her over once more. "Romantically tragic."

Her crimson eyes danced with amusement at his bold challenge. Yes. He was a feisty one. He might make a good warrior. Though, her pack would certainly balk at her bringing him home with her...not that that would stop her, if she really wanted to do such a thing. It would still be fun to watch, though.

But that was neither here nor there.

"The same, hmm? I wonder."

She settled back into her comfortable storyteller's repose and considered her options. Romantically tragic...

"Long ago, there lived a wolf named Fallon," she began in the hypnotic tones she used when practicing her art. "When he was young, barely more than a pup, he liked to go exploring in the lands just beyond his pack's territory. Usually he found little more than the birds and the squirrels. Hints of foxes or deer, perhaps.

"One day, however, he traveled farther than he ever had before and came upon something most interesting and unexpected. A pup. Little more than a quivering ball of blood-stained fur. She was injured and alone. Lost.

"She snarled at him when he tried to approach, but he was fascinated. Slowly, gently, he coaxed her into letting him closer until, at last, he could was close enough to touch her.

"With little more fuss, he managed to clean her up a bit and help her. Her injuries were not so very extensive and before he knew it, it was time to say goodbye..."
