Calder had received a text asking if he'd be able to come over and talk. While he was always happy to talk to the undead, his room had....still needed some fixing. It was also very wet, and all the chair had been broken during his fit. So, instead, he asked Barth if Malodore could come over. Seeing no reason not to, Calder sent a text back to the undead to come over to Barth's whenever he wanted, and while Calder waited, he had the perfect excuse to cuddle up with Barth on the couch.

There were only two other times that Malodore had ever come to the demon dormitory and headed for Barth's room rather than the one next door, and that had been the time Riley had... gotten her wings, and when Calder was ill. This time, however, was more light hearted. Or so it hoped. The choice of meeting place was unusual for Calder; was the kelpie still ill or having a relapse?
After a glance at Riley's door, it knocked on Barth's, stepping back and folding its hands inside its sleeves after knocking.

"That's probably Malodore," Barth said, looking regretfully at the remote for the door, which was just out of reach. He had no objects to couch cuddling, and had made himself very comfortable while they watched reruns.
"You don't err, mind getting that for me, do you?"

Calder looked at the remote. Looked at Barth. Looked at the remote, and then sighed when he was requested to get the door. Despite how lazy he was, at least he knew this boilfriend wouldn't run away from him. Leaning over, he kissed him once. "Alright, my stationary stud." He teased before rising up off the couch and sashaying his way over to the door.
Opening the door, Calder smiled to Malodore. "Hello, Malley. Come in. We were just..." He paused. "...watching TV." He shut the door behind the undead once inside and went over to pick his spot next to Barth.

"Ah, bene," Malodore said with relief as Calder opened the door, looking quite chipper. "I was a bit worried, given the meeting location, that perhaps you had suffered a relapse of your illness. All is well in that respect, I hope?"
As the plague doctor entered, it nodded pleasantly to Barth. "Buon giorno, my friend."

"Thank you, my charming concierge," Barth said, appreciating the sashay.
"Hello, Malodore," Barth said, "No- no err, relapse. My room's alright? We could- you know, elsewhere, if you prefer."

"Nope. I'm feeling as fit as a...well, as I can be. Still healing a bit from the trip, but all is well." The burns from Red were all but fading now, but that was no concern for Malodore. He certainly felt like a million pumpkin seeds when he was cuddled up on Barth's bed though. The ultimate form of therapy in his opinion.
Flopping on the couch, Calder made himself comfortable, and pouted at the offer to go elsewhere. "Aww. It's comfy here." Everything was plush and had the faint aroma of Barth. After sleeping here several times, he just felt very safe in the boil's dorm room. "...but if you want to go..." Calder grumbled, looking over at Malodore in a pleading sort of way to get him to stay put. The undead had a bony butt after all. Wouldn't it like to sit in comfortable chairs?

"Ah, no - I have no desire to depart. I simply wondered, given the last few times I've been here were due to some great catastrophe," it said, wryly. "I trust no such occurrence brings us here this time?" Calder looked pretty comfortable, though. And healthy. Barth too, really.
"I am glad the field trip didn't damage either of you too terribly. I saw some fairly grave injuries while assisting Nurse Cricket with triage afterwards," it said, folding its hands together.

"Only burns, like half the student body," Barth said, grumbling, "in the collective and personal sense."
Barth tried to think of the times Malodore had been invited to his room, and regretted that it was mostly associated with disaster.
"...And I wouldn't call Christof's experiment a catastrophe, although I am sorry we haven't- err, spent more time. Socially." And professionally, come to think of it. "Is this a social visit?"

"Not just the burns. There were that shocking thing those hunters did. Zapped the fear right out of you. Then they threw those weapons at you. That one with the arrows really got on my nerves. She kept hitting me in the hindquarters and wouldn't leave me be. Not to mention all those horrible rooms in that haunted house." Calder inspected his hands, which now only had a bandage here and there. "I could only imagine what the other students had to go through." He frowned at the thought. "If we didn't have those pumpkin pills, we wouldn't even have gone that far." Most probably wouldn't have had the energy to try and save them.
Worry creased his brow as he glanced at Barth, glad he wasn't trapped forever. "...but in the end, we were all accounted for." He smiled that that silver lining to a rather dismal cloud. "It's good we have students like you, Mal. I just wish you didn't always have to be called around for it. You're a student too after all." He should have more fun.
"Yes! You should hang out more. What's the point of having friends if you don't just shoot the breeze with them? I also think you and I are due for a certain talk." He wanted to know the results of his and Riley's date after all.

"Social? I imagine so, unless you have a medical or scientific issue that you'd like my opinion on." Malodore opened its beak in a smile. "Calder is quite right. I owe him a large amount of thanks. I only regret that events delayed my expression of such - grazie mille, my friend." It inclined its head towards Calder. "Everything went magnificently. I now have an excellent array of ideas for follow-up events."
Then its tone turned more sober, and its beak closed. "I also wished to see how you were, after everything that has happened. I was kept far too busy with the patients I saw in the triage tents to see to the well-being of everyone I wished..."

Barth settled back into the sofa, calculating.
"Has anyone told you what went on, exactly?" he asked, quietly.
