It had been a few weeks since the raid. Tambrey was feeling better than she had been for a little while; the limp she'd found herself with for a bit seemed to have passed and her shrapnel wounds did little more than provide a false itch every so often. A nuisance, and she knew their were marks on her back, but that was nothing she couldn't put up with.
A scar now ran across her side, but the Grunt uniform, plus a bandage she didn't really need anymore, would certainly keep it from view. It still hurt, but often now it was an aching numbness, less frequently was the phantom of sharp memory pain of the burning metal.
Her arm had a lesser scar but still. It was there. Another ache on top of the aching that came with healed bones.
Reflecting on her injuries though, she knew she was lucky. Others had come off with much worse and of course there was the loss of Aila.
She'd finally managed to wander down to a certain room, and checked the pokeballs at her belt; a full team, but only two she actually wanted right now. Palu and Pygi's pokeballs were side by side on the right.
It would be nice to visit Agent Panther and Swiftwing with this pair; she hoped it would be good for his morale- such an injury and everything was surely going to have a negative effect- and it would be good for hers to see a friend. Plus, she really did want Pygi to meet her father. That was important. She really had put that off too long.
The grunt knew that Panther had suffered a bad illness after his injuries from the mission. That had been worrying. In fact, it still was. She pretty sure she hadn't seen him since... well, since the end of the mission and that wouldn't do at all. She should have come before now. With or without the reason of having the birds meet (though that was important), she ought not to have put off visiting. Well, she was here now, at least.
Tambrey raised her hand and knocked upon the door.

An evil laugh radiated from behind the door which opened almost immediately. A large purple face peeked out from behind the door. "Gar?" Tambery was not on the list of expected guests but Shade sized her up and then swung open the door the rest of the way.
"Cal, I really don't need a babysitter." Panther's voice, distorted from his illness, came from the corner of his room directly across from the door, where he sat in front of Swiftwing, who was being decidedly disagreeable. The Pidgeot flexed his wings spreading them out in an attempt to intimidate the agent.
"Hold still, and Shadow, don't eat Nika, I know what that laugh means." Next to the bed a large black blob floated over a harmless looking Charmander who stared up at the larger pokemon with blue eyes. she let out a small char and held her tail inbetween her paws, wiggling her feet as shadow let a few small droplets of what on another pokemon would be drool drip down his tongue and land on the charmander's head.

Tambrey blinked as the door swung open and she was greeted by a ghostly doorman. Huh. "Thanks." She gave the ghost type a smile, stepping into the room properly once she could. It wasn't hard to locate Panther as he spoke up immediately upon her entrance. "Erm. 's not Cal," The grunt replied, with a puzzled frown at the position she found him in "and I didn't really plan on babysitting either, so... Hi."
She let her eyes play over the rest of the room; was it tidy enough? Were needed things reachable and present? And then over the various occupants of the room. Swiftwing with spread wings... Well. That was a bit intimidating, but it was Swiftwing after all; she remembered his behaviour from the discovery of the eggs. "Do you, uh, need a hand with anything?" Her gave slid from angry bird to the ghost type menacing the Charmander. On her belt, one, then two of the pokeballs gave a little wobble.

A laugh of delight escaped the haunter and he floated over tot he new victim tongue hanging out only to be grabbed by one of his spikes and dragged away by Shade.
"Shadow! Ball! now!" the haunter let out a quiet complaint but at Shades stern look the haunter retreated to his pokeball on the bed stand for now.
His room looked clean other then a few new feathers on the ground the only thing that looked like it might need taken care of was the finished tray siting on the desk with it's plates neatly stacked up.
Turning, Panther looked back at Tambery, well tried. Talking so much had aggravate his lungs and sent him into a small fit of suppressed coughs as he tried not to send any germs her way. “Oh, seems you aren’t. How are you holding up?” he suppressed a few more coughs and slowly rose to his feet, using Swiftwing as a suddenly willing support. The bird looks over at Tambery with hard eyes that softened when he heard the warble from the poke ball. He let out a soft sound back, body posture relaxing.

Well, he still had the ghosts in hand. That was good, though not too surprising. She felt a bit sorry for the Charmander in the first place though; cute little thing.
At least the room was tidy; she'd deal with the tray before she left. "I'd say I'm doing rather better than you're sounding... I'd ask how you were feeling but I think I can pretty much tell. Are you supposed t' be up and about?"
She noted the look from Swiftwing and eyed the bird warily. He'd surely be a lot less irritable once he saw the visitors she'd brought... Still wary or not, she started toward him and Panther, intending to help.
"Uh. Do you mind if I let Palu and Pygi out? Thought it'd be nice to bring them to see Swiftwing."

The half of HQ that he knew seemed to be telling him the same thing. Couldn't a guy break a few ribs in peace? It seemed not.
"I'm better then I sound." he was nearing the tail end of the illness which was extended do to the pain of even breathing normally. Between five million drugs and rest he had managed to recover, though there was a looming feeling that the medics wanted him back to perfect health as soon as possible. Team rocket was an organization build with efficiency in mind and being ill was a thing to be rectified as quickly as possible. Bad news for a creature built for roaming like Panther. "If I stay down my muscles will Atrophy." He coughed which brought shade's attention to him. the gengar immediately buzzed at his slide, trying to decide if the agent could remain standing only to be waved away.
"Give me minute to move out of the way." he walked over to his bed, a hand moving to his side and plunked down next to the charmander who was tossed into the air by a few inches from the force. Nika giggled and scurried on all fours across the bed to put her face into his lap.
Swiftwing moved closer to Tambery wings folding as he reached down to steal one of the pokeballs off her belt intent to unleash Palu from inside.

"... That's good to hear." Tambrey thought better of continuing that any further outside of her own brain. No one needed to hear that they sounded ill when they were... Still, the implication leaked into her tone anyway. There was just no real way to stop that from happening.
"True... But still. Don't.... y'know... re-injure yourself or anything by moving too much. I know atrophy's not nice, but, y'know, being able to move around and breathe and everything without dying is nice too." She was aware of the 'factory' approach to injuries and illnesses and was pretty sure her advice and concern wasn't too foreign to what medical personnel might have given him.
She bit her lip as he coughed, but tilted her head as he waved the ghost away and had to smile at the attention he got from the Charmander; she was so cute. "I don't mean to sound like I'm nagging or anything, but well... kind o' worried about you. And- Hey!" At this moment, Swiftwing had successfully taken the pokeball. And a second later, out came Palu in a flash of red light. "I was -going- to let her out anyway, Swift..."

"Oh by the way... he knows theft." Panther laughed which turned into a dry cough into his arm.
Swiftwing ignored the grunt in favor for Palu, who he cooed to feathers fluffing.
"Speaking of injuries, that's what I was doing. Swiftwing, he," he didn't remember what had happened. "he took a few shards to his back. I've been checking for infection but as he's gotten better he's been less willing to allow me near him." his hand drifted down to pet the charmander who's tail flicked in happiness, hanging off the bed. He ignored the concern in her voice he had already heard enough of it.
"Anything interesting happening out there?" he tried to switch the subject off of injuries.

"... So I see." Tambrey replied, reaching to take the pokeball back. Palu was out, so he wouldn't want the ball anymore; it seemed logical.
Palu, meanwhile, though seemed a little surprised to be suddenly released, was delighted to be out and happy to see Swiftwing. She warbled softly and fluffed up, showing concern before Panther even mentioned injuries; she remembered that scary falling-rubble place.
"Well... he certainly seems t' be getting better..." Tambrey agreed as she tried to sneak a look at the larger bird's back. "And I think they're glad to see eachother; I thought they might be. Got another visitor for him; I'll let her out in a minute or two." She turned to look at Panther again and, catching sight of the Charmander's happy tail flick, let another smile out before having it falter somewhat at the question. "Hm? Erm. It's gotten a little slower. It's... about as much the same as it can be given the circumstances... There was a memorial... I didn't go; it... didn't seem right to intrude when I hardly knew her." A true enough reason, though not the whole picture; Tambrey suspected it was all the explanation that was needed, however.

The pokeball was dropped into her hand and forgotten about. Clearly Swiftwing had what he wanted. He stretched out for Palu to show he was fine. there was a little scaring on his shoulder and scabs still healing on his back but other then that the pidgeot faired much better then his human. "Pidgoooot." Swiftwing folded his wings, and nestled into the blankets that sat in the corner.
"Yeah, I know about that." he had gone, briefly, but he would not tell her that. Tambery had already shown more then enough concern over his health. "You have the offspring then?" the pidgey. He really didn't like those things. but for Swiftwing's sake he would put up with it, as long as he didn’t have to raise another one.

Ah. Good. Tambrey returned the empty pokeball to her belt, slightly relieved at the ease in which it was given back. "Well, apart from that, I don't really know a lot else. There's the usual duties and paperwork going on, but I don't come into much gossip and if there's a grapevine to be on, then I'm not really on it." She admitted. "I kind o' spend a lot of time doing stuff around the lab or training... and if I'm not then I'm reading or something and that makes me zone out a little bit... don't really talk to many people, so I'm not really the best person to ask about stuff going on out there, I guess." She then held up the second pokeball. "Pygi." Tambrey nodded. "I actually think she's about ready to evolve already, but something's been holding her back... Could be genetic- Palu can't evolve you see, but I suspect it might just be her waiting for something; maybe to meet him." She nodded toward Swiftwing.
Palu, meanwhile, was inspecting the other bird and cooing softly, sympathetic at the wounds, but seeming pleased that they were healing up. She went to nestle down next to him, fluffing herself up as he sat into the blankets. Ah. Tambrey was holding Pygi's pokeball and showing Panther; that meant Pygi would be out soon. The Pidgeotto turned to nuzzle her beak at Swiftwing, making a soft warbling to tell him that he was about to meet his daughter.

"Oh, you should get out more. I would be but lately I've been laid up." a coughing fit came as if to emphasize his point. "The only news comes from visitors. When I get just a bit better, I'm going out."
"Palu can't evolve? well then, Pygi had better if you want a pokemon big enough to ride." it was about the only use he could think of for pidgey and the evolutions. though he supposed he could train swiftwing a little more. Maybe give him new moves.
Swiftwing cooed and looked at the pokeball in Tambrey's hand. His Daughter? He approved. He hadn't had a chance to see her since she was an egg.

"You aren't the first person to tell me that at all. I used to be told that all the time by one or two people when I was at the university... And M'ms always been pretty adamant that I've never made 'nough friends or get out enough. Heh. She'd soon change her concerns 'f she knew where I was now, 'm sure." The grunt looked concerned as Panther coughed.
"Are y' sure that you don't need anything at all? Water or something? I can understand the frustration and your wish t' go out, but I hope that you don't do anything with too much haste. Y're ill enough 's it is... Here, let me deal with that tray there." She reached to take the finished tray, intending to place it closer to the door so that she wouldn't forget it upon her leaving.
"Yes. She can't evolve any more than she already has... She's stuck at that size, bu' i's not so bad; she actually is an alright size f'r learning 'Fly' but if Pygi'll get to Pidgeot size... well, that'll be so much the better for us. She already knows it... Thanks to him." The grunt gestured, with Pygi's ball, toward Swiftwing. "And, I guess I've kept him waiting long enough..." She smiled, pressing the button to bring the Pidgey out.

Her mom, his chest tightened in at the thought of his own mother. She would prefer he get closer to home, would tell him not to go tromping all over the world. She never understood he couldn't sit still for that. "I think, there are enough good people around her that is she were to get to know them, she would approve."
"You don't have to do that. I can send Shade to take the tray later, that or Cal or Luxury will do it. They have been on my butt about my heath since... since the raid, yeah." he didn't want to mention having already passed out. That was a while ago and he felt much better since then, and he didn't want to add another girl to the list. how did he manage to do that anyways? His guy friends left him well enough alone when he was sick.
"Thanks to... eh, oh right! eggmoves. I didn't even think about that. funny how moves can be passed down like that."
Swiftwing let out a cry in greeting to his daughter and beckoned her closer so he could see her.

"Hm." No, the grunt really didn't think her mother would ever understand nor forgive the fact that Tambrey had joined Team Rocket, whether the people around were nice or not. She'd let the point slide though; unless her mother actually ever did find out (something she hoped would truly never happen) it just wasn't worth worrying about. "It was /very/ useful to get that right out of an egg; to be honest, I'd not been expecting it either. She's been a useful little girl, even just for training with so far." The grunt referred to the topic of egg moves, before moving on to the tray topic.
"No, don't worry- 's just a tray." Tambrey shrugged, smiling. "Sounds like y've got your own little care team with those three, then... Well, 'm not trying to intrude, but honestly, I'll be happy 'nuff to take care of the tray on my way out. Every little less for them should help out, right? And you can just ask if you need something else." Luxury; that was the injured girl who'd helped her out. She'd asked about her after the mission, but she'd not heard all that much since. "How is Luxury? And 've you heard anything more about the others who were hurt?"
Pygi was let out, finally, and now stood, a little stunned, aware of her father just a few hops away. Her mother was always bigger than her, of course, but a Pidgeot seemed such a giant. She hopped, shyly, toward her father as she was beckoned, warbling a coy and happy little greeting. Her father, finally!
