Bul had finally been seeing a recovery since the events at the haunted mansion. Luckily for him he'd shaken off most of his limp and any scabs were now very faint scars easily hidden by the stripes on his skin. It would be the first time in a while anyone would see him wandering the halls though after what had happened with the red cloaked figure that had run off with Shehk. (Assuming that between this time he and Mei had talked of course but certainly out of the public's eye.)
It was becoming a nuisance to Bul that the school was no longer a place he could trust or feel safe in. He knew the students well enough but seeing their faces often brought the monster boil to a grump. Why did they have to even have each other's backs? It was a concept he wished was only as lighthearted as it was just a year or so ago back when the only thing they had to watch out for was gnomes. GNOMES.
For now Bul had no other choice though than to remain alert lest he risk losing contact with the world outside. That was the last thing he needed; To lose all of what he'd grown to trust just because he hermited too much.
Today he would break from his vicious cycle and take a nice walk around the campus. That is, where he knew he could not be kidnapped by any smelly humans and their crazed leaders.

Unlike many of the students, Tybalt had made a speedy recovery from the haunted mansion. It took him only a matter of days before he was ready to face the world again. Sure it still hurt to re-call those events, but what good would it do him to dwell on the past? Though, in all honesty, the black dog just wanted things to return the way they were before the s**t hit the fan.
He rounded another corner in the hallway, returning from one of his last classes for the day when he collided with something solid and much much taller.
"Watch where the hell you're--Bul?" He stopped himself from speaking words he may regret and blinked up with surprise.
It had been a while since he had seen the monster wandering about. Maybe that was because he was still recovering from the field trip? It was possible... Come to think of it, as far as physical wounds went, the black dog was among the lucky ones and had fared a lot better than many of his classmates. Where some had detached limbs, serious cuts and burns--he hardly had any wounds to speak of. In fact, most injuries he received from the trip had healed after the first couple days of his return, leaving only the chill from Red's final attack. Which thankfully, had also faded over time.

Said tall object lowered his head slowly about ready to growl when he actually managed to recognize the other boil much like he recognized him. "Heh watch where I'm going?" Bul smirked a little then crossed his arms loosely. Clearly the monster took no offense.. though Tybalt was sorta in his neutral category of acquaintances for now.
"You're looking well Tybalt. How have you been these past few weeks?" he asked now pacing ever slightly. "Last I saw of you was you and a ton of others booking it into the forest.." he sighed a little. He was careful approaching the subject since Mei had also been in that business. Luckily he'd already talked about things on her end when they'd come out of the nurse's office.

Tybalt gave a sheepish grin when he spoke. Yes, it was his fault, but the black dog wasn't one to admit these sort of things, nor apologize for them.
"Yep, back to the boring daily routine I know and love." Boring being reserved for classes, but honestly... he'd take boring classes over 'exciting' days with the hunters anytime and he'd be a much happier black dog because of it. Unfortunately, they didn't have that option, and Bul's words were a reminder of that.
"Yeah that..." Every time that subject was brought up, the black dog wanted to beat the living s**t out of something. Preferably a hunter. Unfortunately, that would have to wait, since hunters only showed up when it was most inconvenient. "Makes me wonder when they're going to show their faces again... if they haven't already." He looked at the steady stream of students that passed them by.
How the hunters had managed to disguise themselves as their own kind was a mystery to the black dog, but it was unnerving how close to home they had come.
"They're not really giving us a chance to recover are they?"
He shook his head.
"Anyways, how about you? You seem to be doing a lot better since I last saw you. Been hanging with Mei, I'm guessing?" He teased and grinned at the taller boil.

Bul did his best to avoid scoffing at the idea of it being 'boring' around the constantly abused campus. It hadn't been boring since the year before but Bul was having a hard time keeping track of the days since then anyway. Maybe he was just impervious to the concept of time?
Naturally Bul looked in the direction of the black dog's gaze and shrugged. "I made the mistake of saying we can't stop trusting everyone when that happened. I hate just.. hate this feeling of uncertainty. I have been told what is a stupid thing to do and what's a smart thing and its all.." Bul reached up and grabbed his head as if he'd been spinning.
"Too much for me... "
Sighing he scratched the side of his jaw where the fuzz of his chin ended. "I'm doing alright for what I am," he then smiled and almost blushed a little. "Yea we've been chilling a lot more lately. It's nice to have reminders of the nice things. Mei is a nice thing-" he looked to Tybalt awkwardly. He got very genuine on the subject of the ghoul; she was more than just a ghoulfriend but a reason to improve and keep at it the smart way rather than jumping in like a wild monster and getting yourself weaponized.

"Its true what you said though... We can't just go around assuming everyone is out to kill us. Living like that, it'll only make you go insane with paranoia. Not that I'll immediately trust every new face I see, mind you, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt." Easier said than done. He was sure every new face he saw was still going to send a chill down his spine. The doubt was always going to be there, but Bul had the right idea. They couldn't just give up on trusting everyone.
His grin grew wider as the monster went on about his ghoulfriend and as tempted as he was, in favor of not upsetting or embarrassing Bul, Tybalt suppressed any laughter or smart a** remarks he might have come out with.
"Good for you both! Its nice to see that they haven't destroyed everything. Though I'm sure Mei would break faces before she let something come between the two of you." He snorted. She probably would too. She was that kind of person.

Bul started to walk slowly but gestured for Tybalt to follow and continued the conversation with his hands in his pockets. "Yea it's like a big chess game or something. And I ******** suck at chess.." he groaned. "But one day we'll figure it all out maybe. I mean when did we ever care what humans were doing anyway. Doesn't seem like a strong reason to come up in our crib and rock our s**t yanno?"
That look of frustration eased in a smile and he shrugged. "She's one bad a** ghoul sometimes I think she could easily teach me a lesson or two in a** whooping. I do feel sometimes like I can't always be there for her, its really sucked the two times on these trips its happened. I just have to remind myself all the time she's tough."

"That would make two of us..." He muttered, following after Bul. "and I hope so, I'm tired of being a pawn."
His look darkened at the mention of the humans.
"When they started pulling the s**t they've done recently I guess. Don't know what they have against us--err all of us," No doubt there have been Halloween denizens that had caused problems for humans before, but that didn't mean all of them had. Same could be said for the humans. "but I know I've never deliberately hurt a fleshy before." He paused looking thoughtful; a grin slowly spreading back across his face. "Excluding those times they've attacked us that is."
Tybalt stifled a laugh at Bul's reply and gave the boil an encouraging pat on the shoulder.
"Hey! I guess that's the plus of having a bad a** ghoulfriend, you know she'll be able to take care of herself when she's on her own. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not going to tell you not to worry about her, but I think you won't have to worry as much about her."

"Entitlement. Maybe. I mean it wouldn't bug me so bad if they weren't out to literally kill us. I mean.. isn't it against Halloween creed to kill a human?" Bul crossed his arms, then grumbled. "I've always wanted to try human meat but.."
Raising a brow now he smiled. "Heh I appreciate it. How long have you known Mei, anyway?" he asked curiously. "I feel like I've seen you guys talk looong before the scarentines dance." Heh, what a funny way to start a relationship. All he could remember was Icky and Sarias causing a violent uproar as he stormed off the stage. No doubt that was one of his less shining moments.

"Last I checked it was. I mean, we survive on Fear right? Fear that they generate... what good are they to us if they're dead?" The black dog's grin returned when his sensitive ears picked up the words hidden beneath the grumbling.
"I wouldn't. I bet it would give you some serious indigestion problems." He made a face at the thought and was thankful to be a ghost.
"Mei and I?" The black dog looked up towards the ceiling, trying to re-call their first meeting.
When had they met each other? Definitely before the raid on Christmas town, he was sure of that... was it when they first came to the school--no, maybe shortly after coming to the school... That sounded about right.
"I think we've known each other since the second month of attending this school." He shrugged, his grin growing wider. "She and I hated each others guts though. Can't remember how it started, but we couldn't get through one day without insulting each other."
