Waiting outside a door of somebody she barely knew was the most oddest thing Amphi had ever really done. Well no, there was probably others but, this had to to top it. She was clearly...CLEARLY just standing in front of the Reaper Mac's room. Why? Well because she wanted to talk to him about well....the event.
Why wasn't she knocking on his door? Sheer nerves she summed up. Not only was she nervous about the whole over all situation, considering that she had died and reformed...nor that he had been so kind to her afterwards...and even worst, a sinking feeling deep inside her that though she had some sort of...what was a good landwalker word..a crush on him, that he wasn't truly interested.
He had someone, someone he loved very dearly didn't he? She wrung her hands together again, fidgetting in front of the door. She didn't want to talk to him about the pink haired ghoul, they weren't that close. No what she wanted to know was how was he...was he alright after the event? Maybe he could help her understand...or something like that.
Or maybe she was just being a weird creeper ghoul just standing outside his room without a real reason.
"What am I doing here..." She muttered, "I don't have a reason to be here do I?"

Now that she was no longer near chronically depressed over her break up, mostly thanks to the hunter's ambush on them being a much bigger issue for her to worry over, she had decided to visit the person who had first comforted her. Ironically, it was Mac who sent Mot to comfort her straight after he had broken up with her... Which only served to confuse her further; she couldn't tell if he cared about her or not, with his million and one mixed messages.
As she approached the boil's room, she couldn't help noticing that she wasn't alone in the hallway. There was someone else there - someone familiar... Too familiar.
And she was pacing in front of Mac's room. Her Mac.
She paused, stopping a distance away; should she leave? She didn't know how to feel about this pretty ghoul, mostly because she was torn between feeling jealous and feeling that she shouldn't feel jealous since Mac was single now and could do whatever he wanted to do with his love life... Especially since she was sort of bent on making her re-accept her as a friend.
Inhaling sharply and trying to get rid of her nervousness, she tucked her bangs behind a ear before approaching the ghoul, greeting her with a small smile, "Uh, hi..."

She was pacing now...and then stopping to stare at the door and then pacing again. It wasn't weird to ask someone was right? Yeah okay, just think Amphi. Being under the sea made her feel like such a bumpkin with the way things Landwalkers did.
And she grew up with only females so that didn't help either. Maybe she should go back to the library and read up on stuff like this.
She hadn't noticed Lizzy in her internal musing yet, still dramatically focused on the fact that she well...had no idea what she was doing. She felt to unsure of just...everything.
When Lizzy spoke to her, Amphi looked at her, startled blue eyes and then....a pause....and then her eyes widened more before she flushed. 1. She had been caught pacing outside Mac's dorm room....just PACING...2. It was by who she thought Mac might like, though all she had to go off was pink hair, and this demon sure had a lot of pretty pink hair.
"Um...." Amphi fidgeted and tried to think of best how to respond before giving the girl a similar small smile, albeit shy smile at that. "Hello. I'm sorry..." The apology came out to quick before she covered her mouth, "I don't mean to look like I'm out here just um...whats the word...creeping around or anything. I was debating on seeing....a friend." She blushed again, bring those blue eyes down to her feet as she tugged on her sleeve. If this was the girl Mac like, and well, she liked him back then this situation would seem a lot worst. Then again, it's not like Amphi knew Mac all that well as well. Ah, Brain, stop over thinking things. She sighed...quietly.

Lizzy couldn't help noticing that the ghoul was even prettier up close - and that blush! She was adorable, actually, and her shyness only added to that. As much as it pained her to think that way, she wondered if perhaps someone like her would be better for Mac... Less frustrating, maybe.
"There's no need to apologize to me," It's not that she was Mac's ghoulfriend or anything; she couldn't keep the bitterness from seeping into her voice, "Oh? Is Mac in...?" She was sure that the 'friend' the ghoul was referring to was Mac; there was nobody else, right? And the two seemed pretty close... Lizzy frowned, quickly trying to squish out the jealousy she felt, not wishing for her feelings to determine how she would treat her.
"Ah, I'm sorry too... Where are my manners..." She sighed, inhaling deeply and then exhaling slowly, clearing her thoughts; she had to play nice. This ghoul was an innocent party. If she had to be upset, the subject of her emotions should be Mac and not her. When she looked up again, there was a pleasant enough smile on her face, "I'm Lizzy. It's nice to see that you are well!"

The flush remained with her as Amphi sent quick looks up and down from Lizzy to her sleeve. The girl was aboslutely gorgeous and she could understand why Mac liked her, especially if it's the girl he was screaming about from the night. The tugging pulled harder on her sleeve as a new emotion came through, biting her with the tug of annoyance at the other girl.
Augh, no Amphi. She easily quenched the feeling before it surface and then staring up again. Was this girl mad at her? Her voice seemed so but just as she thought she was, it too disappeared. "Um..Oh Mac." Her heart fluttered before she looked at the door, "I...I am not sure. I was going to knock to talk to him but well...." Her flush deepened before she looked back at Lizzy, "Are you a friend....of Mac's?" She cocked her head at the girl.
"Oh! OH!" She smiled geniuely at the introduction of Lizzy, caught up in the moment of meeting someone new, regardless of the situation. "It's very nice to meet you Lizzy. My name is Amphitrite...Oh um, you can call me Amphi though for short cause its a mouthful." She nodded before pausing, nice to see her well? Where had she seen the girl? Oh the day for Red...and then the attack for humans, So this was the girl that Mac liked. Her heart instantly dropped and she went back to tugging on her sleeve, attempting to work the small sadness and that other unknown emotion out in her brain. "I...Yes. It's good to see you are well...as well. After that event...." Amphi instantly looked down away, she hated just thinking of it. It was after all, the first time for her to die and be reformed.
"Did you....recover well after it?" She wasn't sure where that had come from as she met blue eyes to the Lizzy's pale pink. It wasn't like her to just pry into other people's lives and feelings but, Lizzy was a 2nd year now, and perhaps the other girl had similar experiences.

"A friend?" She echoed, before looking at Mac's door, remembering how she used to enter all the time... It hadn't been that long since the break-up, but somehow, it felt that way to her, "I suppose... You can call us that." She gave Amphi a sheepish look, her tone suggesting that their relationship was more complicated than that.
"Go ahead, don't let me stop you," She forced a chuckle as she waved a hand dismissively in the air, looking away as she tried to focus her attention on other things instead, not that the 'event' was something she liked to think about. It was actually the only other thing that caused her a lot of heartache to recall, "Well enough... I mean, I've been through worse..." She replied quietly, almost instantly regretting mentioning it.
"How about you...? Have you been well?" She added, trying to drive the topic away from talking about her.

Amphi nodded as Lizzy repeated her question before cocking her head. So we're they just friends then? But it seemed so much more complicated then that, especially the small tidbits she had picked up from seeing him around her. She didn't press any further, any deeper into knowing would end up either hurting Lizzy, or just out right confusing herself. That much she could pick up on. "Did you come t talk to him too? I can come back another day if you need to." She offered another shy smile before looking at the door, again, there was something unsettling the pit of her stomach about this. She could talk to Mac perhaps another day, or whenever she saw him next, it wasn't like he was obligated to...or she was....
"Oh...No I don't think...I don't think I'll bother him after all." She laced her hands together before looking back at Lizzy, "I see." Again she didn't press the other girl, especially considering that if the event had traumatically scarred her, then it was most likely the same for Lizzy.
She wasn't sure if Lizy was the one though, she wanted to talk to about it but...somehow she couldn't help the words that came out next. "No, defenitly not alright." She covered her mouth and looked down, "I apologize that came out quite rude." She was quiet a moment before looking up, "That was the first time...That was the first time I have ever been caught in a net and then...It was the first time I have ever died and been reformed." She shuddered. "It almost makes me want to return to the waters and stay safe there." She hugged herself before sighing, "I was going to talk to Mac about it too, because the last time we talked I was...not very coherent. I cried a lot on him." She nodded, "And he blamed himself for it...So I wanted to talk to him about it." Amphi blue eyes flitted back to Lizzy. "Oh but I told you instead...." She frowned, "I'm sorry again, and we've just met. Um...Um let's think of something happy." She rubbed her temple before looking up, "I love your hair by the way. It's so long and such a pretty color." There! Anything other then talking about dying again.

"Ah, no, it's alright," The small jealous, selfish, hurting part of her wanted to say 'yes, yes please come back another day' before camping herself in the reaper dorms - Shun did say she was welcomed to his place anytime she needed somewhere to hide for a bit - so that she would always be conveniently there... Then she reminded herself that Mac was no longer her boilfriend and he would probably get mad at her for chasing such a pretty ghoul away from his door.
"I actually came to look for Mot," She gestured at the door next to Mac's, "So please, if you need to talk to Mac, go ahead. I'm sure he'll be happy to see you." Okay, she definitely needed to run up to Shun's place after this.
While taken aback by the ghoul's sudden outburst, she couldn't help feeling slightly guilty and sorry about the way she had felt towards Amphi earlier; it wasn't easy to be netted and die, especially not in school, when it was supposed to be a 'safe' place... Home.
"There, there," She couldn't help it; when someone was distressed she had to do something, although she displayed slight hesitation before wrapping her arms around the ghoul. She patted her hair, her voice soft, "It's not easy to deal with being caught and then dying, so it's okay to not be alright... Mac... Yes, go talk to him about it. I have a feeling that he'll continue to blame himself one way or another-" He always did that with her, unless he was faking it, "But I'm sure he'll want to talk to you too."
Why was she even doing this.
"Thank you. Your hair is lovely too," She smiled, despite how painful that ache in her chest was, despite how she wanted Mac to hold and comfort her instead of this ghoul, "And your eyes... They somehow remind me of water."

In truth, she wasn't sure just what would happen had Lizzy asked her to leave. She would go of course, because she told her she would but....underlining it, did that mean she left Mac completely alone? Why was it she had no idea how Landwlkers worked up here. She'd have to ask her sisters, one's more experienced in the language and unspoken language of landwalkers. That way Amphi wouldn't feel like she perhaps needed to keep herself on the defense.
"Oh Mot?" She looked at the door next to Mac's before cocking her head, "I am sad to say that I have no idea who that is." She looked around again, "The only reapers I know here is Mac and one by the name of Sparrow, though I have not talked to him since I started." She wondered out the flirt was doing after all.
"Happy to see me?" She blushed at that, why would he be happy to see her? Well...okay, he had been happy during the Red event when they first went, and he seemed to enjoy teasing her and breaking personal boundaries BUT.....It warmed something in her and gave her, her own feeling of happiness.
When the other girl's arms came around her though, she stiffened before relaxing and then sniffling (Any pleasure from the thought of Mac disspiated with the crash of reality) and...oh yes there it was, a small flush at being held. She brought her arms up to hug her back (very cautiously though, still shy at the thought of embracing anyone) and nodded. "I...I tried talking to a friend about it and then...I spent a lot of time alone in my aquarium because I was scared so...Yes, Wanted to talk to Mac and apologize and stuff." She sniffled again before breathing out, "You know him very well." And then she placed the emotion she had been feeling since meeting the girl. Envious. Not really jealous, though the words went hand in hand. She was Envious of the relationship between this Girl and Mac. It seemed to be such a close one that....did she have any right to intrude?
"Ah!" She flushed and all thought of what was in her disappeared to flail at the compliment. "Th...Thank you very much." She nodded as she looked at the demon before smiling shyly, "That is perhaps the best compliment to give a mermaid. To be compared to the thing we live on is very nice." she laughed before pushing herself away and back. Uncertainty rose in her as she fiddled again before her gaze locked with Lizzy's.
"Um, I should...I should let you go to see your friend." Amphi stepped away, as she tried to sort just how to feel about this other ghoul. It wasn't like she disliked her but....she was still trying to see how she felt about Mac, albeit she was pretty sure it was just a shy girl's crush, "You must have something important to talk about it and I don't want to keep you here any long with my worries of bad things." She paused smiling. "Thank you for being so kind to me."

"I think the two of you would get along fine! He's really friendly and nice," She nodded before patting the top of her own head with a smile, taking a step back from Amphi, "He has this cowboil hat on him often, and wears dark clothing pretty often, despite being so pale. You can't miss him!" Yes, talk about Mot. Not about-
"I've known Mac for a while, so..." Whoops, there it goes; she couldn't avoid the topic forever, anyway, although she was beginning to question if the Mac she knew was the real Mac... Maybe the Mac who broke up with her was the real Mac, and he had been pretending all along. Then again, he seemed to care about her the other day... It was making her head hurt just thinking about his mixed messages. She paused, eyeing Amphi; a mermaid? So that was what she was? Well, Mac did seem to enjoy swimming- She stopped, mentally scolding herself.
Stop it.
"You are welcome," She offered the ghoul a smile; she liked Amphi enough, and she seemed like such a polite and easy-going person... In fact, if not for the fact that Mac was seen acting rather intimate with her, Lizzy figured that she would probably had warmed up to her a lot faster.
"There's no need to thank me for that!" She looked genuinely surprised, holding up both hands as she smiled sheepishly, feeling even more guilty than before, "I just hoped that the hug helped... Uh, yeah... And I should let you go talk to Mac now." She chuckled, shuffling her feet. Stop it. "Have a good chat with him!" Stop it.
"I'll see you around," She finished off before making her way to Mot's door, giving it a knock before entering, knowing that the reaper kept his door unlocked at all times. Once inside, she closed the door, not even bothering to check if the boil was in as she crumpled to the floor, hugging her own knees to her chest.
Stop it.

Amphi nodded her head at Lizzy's explanation of Mot before smiling, perhaps one day she would meet the cowboil, though she never knew. Fate had a odd way of working didn't it?
"Oh well..." How did Amphi feel about that. This girl did have the upper hand but...no she shouldn't feel THAT way. She let it drop away as they moved to her hug.
"No it...helped it really did, so thank you." Amphi smiled before watching the other girl disappear in the doors. "It was nice to meet you Lizzy." Amphi waved before sighing. If anything, it made her now need to talk Mac.
She mustered up.
