Energy gathering, it wasn't particularly exciting, but it was a necessary job each and every one of the senshi under the Dark mirror court had to part take in. It took a lot of energy for Ares to make the mirror wraiths and making it possible for them to convert their order aligned sisters and brothers. Navi understood this, so she did her duty without complaint, usually.
Tonight she had run across a middle aged fellow that seemed to think she was some sort of lady of the night. It eliminated the need to hunt, and she'd happily subdued the pervert and siphoned his energy into the dark little mirror shard she kept safely hidden away in her boot. She was still only a rookie senshi, her quota was small, and she'd managed to fill it early on in the night. It granted her a lot of free time, and she was currently trying to figure out what to do with it.
Her first thought had been to venture across town towards the familiar outline of the community center, but she wasn't sure if the person she was hoping to see was even there. Grant was also weighing on her mind, and sge very easily could have simply gone home and given him a call. Either plan was very appealing, it was only a matter of settling on one or the other.
She was pondering her options as she wandered down the dark length of the alley she'd dragged the old perv into after he'd approached her. Humming quietly along with a song that had been stuck in her head for a while now.

Lenka was skipping. She was always skipping, she truly enjoyed it. Things were a lot more fun now that she had upgraded to a Super Senshi. For one, she was a lot warmer with her tights on…she loved the little watermelons on them! They were so cute! And the ribbons in her hair…she just felt so amazingly awesome!
She had yet to see Pomona or Camelot, but she was sure she’d see them eventually, so that was good. She was excited to patrol now…she knew that even if she did mess up…she wouldn’t get her powers taken away! That fear was totally gone now, and ********* was right…if she failed, she would just have to get back up again and be stronger than ever!
The child laughed, then continued her skipping, blinking then looking up. Oh! There was bad feeling energy! Time to investigate! She broke into a run, heading for Navi. Yeah! Hero time!
"Halt, evil doer!"

Much to her own surprise, Navi actually stopped at childish voice demanded it. Not out of obedience, goodness no, but out of sheer shock. That had sounded an awful lot like a child calling out to her, but there was just no way in hell the white moon was actually employing runts to fight for them. That would have been just barbaric.
Lips pursed, the dark senshi turned, glancing back towards the street, and ginger brows rose incredulously as pale eyes lowered to the little girl running after her.
She could feel the aura, she could see the fuku, but she still couldn't believe it. Thoughtfully she ran her tongue along her teeth behind the line of her lips, gaze narrowing down on the little hero. "Seriously? You've got to be kidding me." She had honestly thought Leto was exaggerating when she'd mentioned kids being on the side of order. Clearly the other senshi was not.
Darkly clad arms rose to curl beneath her breasts, and she rolled her weight to rest solely on one hip. "I'm not evil." Sure she fought for the side of chaos, but hadn't any of these order alined morons heard of Chaotic-neutral? Anti-heros? Apparently not.
"And just who are you supposed to be?"

Hah! A bad guy who didn’t know her name. Well, this was the perfect time to tell her! She grinned then jumped up, landing with one leg behind her…she held the pose for a moment before she stumbled, then looked up again, cheeks red.
“I’m Super Sailor Chibi Lenka, and I’m going to kick your…um. Butt!”
Oh, if her mother heard her talking like that, Millicent would be in all sorts of trouble, yes she would. Well, her mom wasn’t here, so she could say what she wanted. “And who are you, Miss bad guy.”
If it was some meanie like Remarque, then Lenka would really have to push her down quick then run away. Yes she would. Yup yup.
“I’m here to stop you, so don’t think you can just…you know. Get away. Though, if you wanted to run, I might consider going easy on you.”

Navi's expression grew rather blank before narrowing down to something incredulous. The kid was striking a pose. An honest to god pose. Once again the dark mirror senshi had to wonder if this was seriously happening.
"You," and she gestured at the young girl with one plum painted nail. "Are planning on kicking my butt?" The disbelief was thick in her voice, and if that didn't clue the tot in on Navi's Incredulous take on that scenario, the half amused expression on pale features certainly would.
"You're joking." She chuckled, uncrossing her arms so one hand could draw up to tuck ginger curls behind her ear. "You have to be. What are you, 6?" Obviously older, but the dark senshi couldn't help the subtle jab.
Shaking her head, Navi combed her fingers through her hair, pushing it back from her face, then let out a soft chuckle. "Whatever kid. I'm Sailor Navi, Dark Mirror Senshi of Tumble weeds, and if anyone is going to be taking it easy, it'll be me, on you."
Run away? As if.

Ugh! All of these bad guys thought they were so tough! They just didn’t know! “For your information, I’m ten. And I’m a super senshi, so I’m stronger than you are. Plus, I’m a good guy, so that right there gives me the obvious advantage. Don’t you ever read books, or watch movies? The good guys always win. Always.”
Sure…they might hit a few road bumps now and again…but they always won in the end! Six Star Wars movies worth of road bumps…but it was worth it. “I’m gonna bring peace to the galaxy, and no stupid Sith is going to stop me!”
Oh. Oops. Sometimes the child did forget that she wasn’t fighting the Sith, that she was fighting chaos instead. Oh well. Whatever managed to get the job done.
She summoned her watermelon rind, then grinned. “Now, are you sure you don’t want to get out of here while I’m giving you the chance, Navi?” Aha! She was so scary! She was sure to just scare the Dark Mirror Senshi away. And one out of three wasn’t bad odds…

"My bad, you just look so dainty." Dark clad arms folded, and she watched the younger girl with a level stare as she went on to preach about the powers of good triumphing over evil. "I hate to break it to you kid, but that's just Hollywood and fairy tales. In the real word bad wins all the time."
Murderers and theives got away with their crimes unpunished, people died of terrible illnesses, and houses burned down. That was just how the world worked. It wasn't all sunshine and daisies, it was cruel and random.
Hazel eyes narrowed further at the sith comment, then rolled. "This isn't Star Wars, and you're not a Jedi. You're just a little girl in a fuku pretending you've got the strength and guts to go head to head with something you know nothing about."
Fruit, really? Really?? "I'm not going anywhere. Clearly you need a reality check."

The child bristled and she frowned. Not a jedi? She was a jedi, and she was a good one. If this bad guy didn’t know that now, she would someday! “You don’t know anything, you big bully! I am a Jedi, and I’m going to make you pay for what you just said! Stupid ugly big bully!”
She made an irritated sounding noise then drew her hand back. “Lenka Boomarind!” She hurled the piece of fruit at Navi with all of the strength she could muster.
Maybe if she hit her hard enough, she would turn to dust just like a youma. There was a good thought. The chibi senshi laughed then nodded to herself, hoping that this would come to be.

Navi was mature enough, not to mention self confident enough, not to react to the "ugly" comment beyond letting that smug smile wither away. Ugh, kids were such pains in the a**. "Jedi," she began, taking a step forward, tone firm and condescending. "Do not exist.". It was harsh, but it was true.
Excuse the fact that magical warriors were very real, and the lot of them were locked in an epic war for order and chaos. That was completely beside the point.
The dark senshi got no more then a step or two closer before the kid hurled that damned piece of fruit at her, apparently it was a weapon. Navi jerked back, arm raisin up defensively, and the rind collided with the bronze braced on her wrist with more force then she thought possible for a chunk of fruit. It actually made her arm hurt, fingertips numb.
Hazel eyes narrowed down at the little girl, and the corner of her lip twitched, almost curled. "Is that how you think you'll beat me? Hurling half eaten fruit at me?". The venom in her voice was almost deadly.
Alright, she was done playing with this kid. Darting forward, Navi made a grab for the young lady's arm, and if she managed to snag it she would twist it up and behind her back, forcing her to bend double, least she dislocate her own shoulder.

Lenka let out a little cry as her arm was grabbed and twisted like that. Ow! Ow! Why did they always end up hurting her so much!
She whimpered then tried to twist out of Navi’s grip, wriggling slightly. “Let me go! Let me go you big stupid fat bully! Let me go! I’ll make you pay for this! You won’t be able to get my forgiveness for doing this! I’ll never, ever ever forgive you!” She hoped this would make Navi at least feel a little sorry! After all, she was just a kid!
She wasn’t’ going to wait for an answer though, instead choosing to jerk her head so it went in Navi’s direction, trying to headbutt her with every ounce of strength she possessed.
Only big mean jerks picked on little kids like this!

Admittedly, Navi did feel a little guilty for having to twist the kids arm, but hey, she had been attacking. At least she hadn't hit the chibi scout, or used her own attack, she wasn't that heartless. "Just hold still and it'll stop hurting so much!" She hissed it, tightening her grip on the girl's wrist but not putting anymore pressure on the angle of her arm. She really didn't want to hurt her, just subdue her.
The taunts were ridiculous, Navi ignored them, but they did distract away from the sudden jerk of Lenka's head, and he collided rather painfully against Navi's brow, causing the dark senshi to curse loudly and fumble her grip. Not let go completely, but as she jerked back that arm came untwisted so the little girl was held at arms length, straining like a dog on a leash.
"You sniveling little brat!" Was she an idiot? Couldn't she see Navi was trying to keep her from attacking? What was with the white moon?! Bunch of blood thirsty hypocrites!
Darkly painted nails dug into the girl's tender wrist, and she yanked her close again. "Listen here. I am going to let you go, and you're going to high tail it out of here, or I will hurt you. Do you understand me?" She was bigger, she was smarter, and that certainly counted for something, didn't it?

She looked up at her, giving a pouting face and letting some tears fall from her eyes. Those nails hurt! Really badly! “Fine! Fine I’ll run away, but I’m gonna get stronger so I can beat you up one day! I don’t like any of you bad guys…none of them!”
She really didn’t. None of her memories…and mostly those memories had to do with Remarque…but none of them were good. None at all.
Lenka let out a sniffle, then struggled to get away. “Let me go!” She wanted to go home…She didn’t like fighting with real people. Not when she didn’t win against them!

Navi snorted. "We're not "bad guys", but you wouldn't know that, would you? Not when you go and assume and then start throwing attacks. " It was an annoying habit of people, assuming things. She'd done it herself, and she regretted it.
After a second or two she let the girl go, fingers uncurling as she stepped back and away. It was clear by her posture she had no further intent to continue this confrontation, but it would be equally clear that she hadn't been kidding about the promise to hurt her if she didn't just run away and let this all go. She wouldn't enjoy it, but she would do it.
"Go home, leave this war to the grown ups." Her tone sounded a little off, not quite guilt, but close. She didn't like having inflicted any sort of pain on a child, it wasn't in her nature, but she couldn't deny the necessity of it. She'd needed to make her point.

Lenka ran a few paces away, then wiped at her eyes, looking to Navi. “We’re going to be the only hope. When all of your grownups are dead…well…at least the good grownups…the world’s gonna need us kids…We’re being trained like Jedis. We’re the padawans, and we’ll be ready and experienced by the time the world really needs us. You don’t understand. I can’t leave the fighting go, because I’m needed. If I wasn’t needed, I wouldn’t have been chosen.”
She glanced behind her then looked to Navi once more. “You’ll see that you’re on the wrong side, someday…I hope!” The child ran then, leaving the older girl and hurrying home to put a band aid where the nails had scratched her.

A sigh followed the kids words, she had a point. Navi might not have liked it, but she couldn't deny the truth in her words. The kids were the future, but it was still barbaric to bring them into this war while they were so young. No other court, no faction, created soldiers from children. Navi couldn't condone it.
She watched Lenka run away, and her shoulders shagged with relief. As battles went that was something of a sorry excuse, but it had a hard one. How do you fight a child when they're prepared to give their life for a cause they believe in?
The dark senshi didn't have an answer for that. She'd gotten lucky tonight, and her threats had been enough to scare the kid away. Next time she doubted she'd be so lucky. For now though, she was going home, and she was either going to call Grant, or she was going to curl up with Quinn and watch a movie. She needed something normal.
