[Faid Shadowlight]

Idonea wandered up to the top of a hill to look out over the land. Her coat was looking bulkier, the thick underfur having grown thicker as the colder months started to draw nearer. She wasn't a small mare and even had a tendency to look a bit stallionish from behind but from her front view, she looked like nothing more than a hulky mare. A slight breeze kicked up playing in the short bobbed tail and feathers in her mane. Every step she took sounded a bright jingle of the bell that hung off her collar, a momentum from her mother she'd gotten when she had grown up.

Ezio had been wandering, not really to any purpose but it was good to get out and away from work for a while. Glad of his robes though, the season had shifted colder and while not suited to winter as such the hood and robes did offer some protection from the cold and the elements. His ears pricking and looking round, his eyes narrowing as he goes still, having already been silent as he walked. Tilting his head he heard it again.... A bell.... He turned and started to walk silently towards the noise, whatever and whoever it was they were very close to assassin territory, he had better investigate. Sighing though that he had left Nico at home in the warm, he could have done with his hawk companion for this.

Idonea looked around. This had to have been the furthest she's wandered off from her father's herd. She just, had to wander, look for that which she hadn't seen for so many days. Amelia would have likely chuckled and goaded her on in this. Sighing she stopped a moment, steam bellowed from her nostrils as the breath left her. Just where was Amellia these days? Was her frend fairing well? Had she found that which she'd been searching for? Or had she dissappeared from sight. A small frown curved on her maw as she fought her thoughts to keep from dwelling on such things. She had to believe without doubts that her friend was in good health. After all.. Amellia had been there to help her through the worst of times when she was a filly. She just had to believe that Amellia was strong enough to keep herself out of too much trouble when she was away.

Ezio stopped when he saw the other soquili, pausing and taking his time in looking them over. From the angle he had it was hard to tell if they were male or female, though something in how they stood made him think female. He moved round, not sure if she was paying any attention. Sighing starting to think mares in this place were predisposed to life threatening oblivion. No longer moving silently, he made the kind of noise a normal stallion would when walking along, wanting to see how much attention this one was paying.

Her eyes scanned what was ahead of her intently. Binky.. well goodness only knew what that White and pink ball of fluff was up to at this moment. She had warned her to keep up and stop dawdling. It wasn't her fault if the silly raccoon was behind her, flapping her miniature tattered looking wings in disgust at being left behind. A feather blew over her ear causing it to flick from the tickling sensation.

Brow furrowing, she gave an exasperated sigh. No sign of Amellia.. none what so ever. None of Cedric, none of the mare her father sought.. noting.. it was like everything had hidden in a hole and left no signs of it's possible return.

He sighed, he was paying no attention to him, so just as he should of come into her like of sight he started talking. "Signorina you should really pay more attention, there are many diavoli around that it would not be wise for a piccola like yourself to meet." His hood covering a good portion of his face, but his nose was visable. Stopping not too close or far away when he was sure she could see him.

She caught the movement of a body from the corner of her eye. As she started to focus on him, she noticed too late to catch all of his speach that he'd been talking.. atleast it looked like a male.. that garb hid many things. Her ears flicked forward to indicate that she'd acknowledged him though she remained silent as her eyes lingered on his maw. Piccola? she thought to herself. Stepping forward, she closed their distance some looked at him expectantly, waiting for him to speak further so that she could press her muzzle against his neck and feel the vibrations. Lip reading only did so much after all. And binky wasn't here to assist her in this. Her ears tocked back and forth some to bring attention to them before she shook her head lightly. Often she avoided speaking unless she had to and she wasn't ready to start speaking just yet.. For all she knew Binky could catch up any moment now.

He looked at her quietly for a moment not sure what she was doing or not doing, finally he tried again thinking perhaps he had startled her. "I mean you no harm signorina, I herd your bell and thought it best to give you warning as you were nearing territory that is carefully protected. It would be male if any harm were to come to you sì?" He had made no move towards her, though he also made no move away from her. His hood hiding his surprise at her willingness to get closer to an armed stallion who she had not even met really yet.

She stepped closer once more taking his lack of fleeing as a signal that she could approach further. As he spoke once more, she reached out and placed her muzzle against his neck to feel the vibrations of his conversation. One eye watched his mouth as he spoke , reading his words as she felt them to the best of her ability.

So that was what he was talking about.. A warning. She'd gotten that much. Satisfied that she'd caught his conversation, she stepped back to a more comfortable distance for him and giggled silently. She wasn't often so woried about being attacked since her father's hulky height and size had often served as a deturant from such things.

Offering a smile, she nodded to let him know she'd understood before finally foccusing on not yelling. "My bell often gives me away..." Her voice matched her appearence, a deep husky feminine sort of tone. Nothing like the gentile feminine sounds that often melted hearts.

He watched her confused as she stepped back, thinking, her nose against his neck having been a surprise, shaking his hood off if she was going to be doing things like that. Seeming totally undaunted by the largness of her and having no idea who her father was, shifting, the pail winter light catching his dagger, it one of many weapons he carried. His expression concerned but nodding at her words. "What is your name la mia signora? I am Ezio, it is a pleasure to meet you." About to give a formal bow but her touching his neck again stopped him moving.

She watched his lips once more. This much she wa able to make out without touching till he reached his name. She rolled it around in her mind a bit till she was sure she had it right. "Idonea." She replied once, her words a whisper once more. "It's a pleasure.." She smiled once more, a lop sided goofy sort of grin. "Forgive my forwardness.. I lack hearing.. there fore I lip read.. the vibrations you know.."

His expression going understanding a small smile giving him a sexy curbe to his lips. "I understand signora May I call you Idonea?" Having made no move at all, though his lack of motion might not be as reassuring as he meant it as he was pretty much totally motionless.

She gave a small nod. "Idonea, Nea... both are fine." She looked back over her shoulder a moment, Binky really was taking her sweet time catching up. Peering back at Ezio, she cocked her head off to the side some. "Preparing for a battle?" She nodded towards his cutlery and shook her head lightly. "Or is it just something of importance.. A momento from a family member?" The last weapon she'd seen was given to a herdmate's daughter upon reaching her age of passing. The ceremony had bestowed upon the tiny mare a spear to signify the little mare's great grandfather, the rose that dangled from it was to signify the mare's maternal grandmother's line.

He looked round to his weapons, pondering how to explain his weapons. Looking back to her and shaking his head. "Not totally Nea, one is a family possession, the others are strumenti del mio mestiere... One must always be ready for battle sì?" His reply deliberately vague, unless she understood Italian. But then the less people knew of him the better for them. Smiling charmingly at her, tilting his head, his short brown mane falling into his eyes, his tattoo showing on his neck, it having been where she had been touching ironically.
