After dinner, Colin informed his roommate that he would be taking a quick jog - he was feeling energetic and wanted to stretch his legs out after having spent hours working on some godawful essay about the affects of neo-paganism on today's modern christian society. Why his teacher had thought that was a good subject for a high-school English class was anyone's guess, but whatever. He'd grit his teeth, sat down and just done it. And now? Now he was dressing in jogging pants and a windbreaker, tying his shoes on and heading out after promising that he'd cart his cell phone with him "just in case something happens". *** The park was kind of pretty and nearly empty as Colin's feet pounded the pavement rhythmically; he smiled to himself and thought that perhaps jogging after dinner time was almost as good as jogging really early in the morning. As he moved into the park this strange feeling tickled along his spine - it was the same sort of feeling he'd gotten from senshi or youma, though this didn't feel like either of those. Whatever it was, the feeling prompted Colin to whip out his henshin stick to transform (there wasn't anyone around to see him) so that he could properly (safely?) explore just what was causing that creeping, off sensation. Now powered up, Sailor Aegir began the hunt for the 'owner' of that strange energy signature.

Navi was on the prowl, though the park wasn't proving nearly as fruitful that evening as it had in the past. Apparently she and the other Dark Mirror Senshi that frequented the area while gathering energy had scared off the majority of the trouble makers. They didn't seem to be milling about in any of their usual haunts, so begrudgingly the girl had resigned herself to packing it in and heading off to a new location.
There were people in the park, not many, but a sizable handful. Any one of them would have been perfect, except that they were all "innocent". Navi had thus far fulfilled her quota by hunting down thugs and hooligans, and she wasn't about to vary from that habit now. She might have been a DMC, an agent of Chaos, but she had her own set of rules to follow when it came to energy gathering. Her court were lumped in with the negaverse, they were allies, but the Dark Mirror Court held a slightly different agenda.
Sighing, she turned to leave, dark heels clicking softly along the pavement as she wandered down one of the shaded paths near the back of the park. It was a little more secluded here, and there was less chance of someone catching sight of the fuku clad girl as she searched for a target.
She paused at the sudden flare of an Order aligned aura, the hairs along the back of her neck creeping up as for a split second she wondered if perhaps it was Chaonis, but the moment passed. She didn't know this presence, but whoever it was was getting closer, looking for her.
She could have hid, but what would have been the point? No, instead she lingered on the darkening path and waited for whoever it was to show up. When he finally did pale eyes widened at the young man's attire, or general lack there of. Pink lips pursed, a smile threatening to curling at the corners, but she held it at bay, fully aware that it grow into a full blown grin if she allowed it any head way. "Well well, look at you." Black clad arms folded under her breasts, weight shifting to one curved hip as she watched him. "I'm assuming you wandered all the way out here to find me, but now that you have, what are you planning to do?"

Aegir's little "hunt" was fruitful - it didn't take him too long to discover the source of the power: a rather pretty girl with a voice and tongue that seemed a bit sharp for the face it came from. She was obviously a senshi...but her energy signature was all wrong and that was troubling. Here was yet another thing he didn't know about - and probably should.
Ignoring the jab at his attire (he didn't choose to look like this, thank you very much!), Sailor Aegir straightened his spine and gave her a looking-over that matched the one she gave him: lots of black, on this senshi...weren't most of them dressed in white? Or was that just him and Castor? The Negaverse seemed to dress mostly in darker colours, but this girl didn't feel as though she were part of that faction...nor did she have the military lean that Pyrite, that clutzy first battle-maiden, had had. Interesting, to say the least.
"You're a senshi, aren't you? You don't feel like one. I came out to see who was here, that's all." His pose was wary, relaxed but also with an underlying tension that said plainly if she required him to fight, he would. "Who - or what - are you?"
Aegir was thankful for the sheltering trees and the low lighting of the evening creeping around and deepening the shadows that helped to keep the pair of them from being noticed by the few civilians that wandered about the nearly empty park; if it came down to a fight, he much preferred to keep as many non-combatants out of the way of harm as possible.

There was the tiniest smirks as the young man straightened up after her jab at his fuku, but she so kindly didn't comment. Surely he'd gotten enough s**t about it, it looked like a leotard from some avant garde production of Swan Lake. Certainly he was aware of that fact, she didn't need to remind him.
At least not unless he made a bother of himself, then all bets were off.
"I am a senshi, and thank you, I should hope not." The very idea of following the cause of the white moon, let alone reeking of order, was enough to make her lip curl. Almost a sneer, but she managed to tame it down, twist it into a grin instead of the harsh baring of teeth it would have been.
It didn't look as though he was prone for a fight, not by his posture, and her own relaxed minutely to match. She was used to those on his side of the battle line attacking first and asking questions only after, or at least showing that intention, so one can never really be too careful. It wasn't the DMC's prerogative to pick fights, at least not with the order aligned senshi, not if she could help it. "Sailor Navi, Dark Mirror Senshi of Tumbleweeds."
The coming glum was a comforting thing. Navi didn't often wander around when the sun had not fully set. She preferred the cover of shadow, the dark cloak of the night sky above. Darkness hid a multitude of sins.

When she didn't continue chattering about his unsightly (yes, he well knew what the damned costume looked like) costume and held her body in a slightly more relaxed manner, Aegir found himself lowering his guard just a bit - not entirely, that would be stupid until he knew more about this dark-clad female senshi.
"You're a senshi, but you hope you don't feel like one? That's kind of weird, don't you think?" He cocked his head at her, more curious now than ever before - he wanted to know, to understand, just how one could be a senshi and yet not want want to be identified by the same sort of energy signature as others like him? While he was half-trying to puzzle that out, she introduced herself as Sailor Navi...a Dark Mirror Senshi - whatever that meant.
"I'm Sailor Aegir, Senshi of Silence. It's nice to meet you, I think..." He frowned a little bit, finally dropping both hands to his sides; she was a senshi, he wasn't going to attack her and it didn't seem that she was planning to attack him any time soon. "What's a 'Dark Mirror' senshi? Er...I mean, what's...different?"
Perhaps she would think he was joking or trying to make fun of her - but no, he really did mean it. He wanted to know.

She shook her head, and smiled, and it actually managed to be pleasant. It didn't seem as though he was in any hurry to attack her, so she could manage, at the very least, a none hostile attitude. Curious white mooners were the best sort after all, they saved Navi and her court so much work.
"No," she correct, fighting off a chuckle. "I might be a senshi, but I'm sure you've already noticed that my aura isn't squeaky clean like yours. We don't follow your white queen." The last was said with a frown, disgust thinly veiled. "We're the same, and yet we're nothing alike." For one, Navi wasn't brainwashed into following the misguided rulings of a false queen. She was blessed with clarity and knowledge, bestowed upon her by her own dark princess and the subordinate that had trained her.
A nod followed his introduction, and she filed away the name for later use. Perhaps Aegir could be lured to the rightful court, she could hope.
"We're a court of our own, lead by our queen Ares, and seek only to return this planet to the rule of those that have right to it, so that we senshi can return to our own worlds, dying planets that are lost without our protection and care." She tipped her chin up, eyes rolling up to gaze among the stars. Her own planet was up there, among the jumble of soft lights. "We do not belong here."

Sailo Aegir was fast finding that watching this Dark Mirror Senshi could be quite confusing: she seemed to be making up her mind about something or other...and her expression and demeanor changed completely each time an internal resolution was reached.
"Well...to be honest, I'm not sure I follow your...um, disgust towards the white queen." He shrugged a little bit; Castor had told him about the white moon and the queen they should follow and how they had to protect those precious memories and hearts; but mostly he'd said his piece and left Aegir to decide how - if at all - he would believe/follow. Having Bjorn - a precious person, Colin could well imagine the pain his Queen had felt, trying to save the people of the "white" moon. Even so, he wasn't going to argue with Navi about that sort of thing; he was absolutely certain of himself and where his allegience lie - and so was Sailor Navi; it would probably have started a fight and although they were (apparently) on "opposing" teams, Aegir didn't want to fight.
Oh hey, that was pretty cool - they had their own Queen! "Really? Wow, you guys must be really organized to have a queen. I...don't know if can totally believe the way you do, but it's really interesting to me...so if you're willing to talk, I'm willing to listen." Very willing; Aegir was earnest, if nothing else - he wanted to learn and he wanted to talk - rather than fight or anything stupid like that.

Of course he couldn't simply take her beliefs to heart, that would have been far too easy. What good would be be to his court if he blindly followed the logic of others? A liability, at best. She understood, but still she offered a rather sharp sniff in response to his comment. "No, you wouldn't, would you? How could you?" Her smile had faded as she spoke, but she maintained that air of calm that had settled between them. If anything she sounded a little sad. So often she found herself frustrated with senshi of the white moon, their blind belief, their combative nature. Aegir so far seemed different, he was curious, thirsty for knowledge. He would make a wonderful addition to the Dark Mirror Court.
"We do," she answered, head tilting at his level of interest. "She is wise and just, and she will bring peace to this universe." It was clear Navi believed it, and why wouldn't she? When Ares had found her she'd been frozen from terror in the middle of a battle, seconds from death, and her beautiful queen and awaken her to a new life, a new purpose. Through the influence of. Hal's she had brought Navi courage and clarity.
"We don't belong here," she repeated after a moment. "This world is not our's to fight for, and your queen serenity has no right to extend her kingdom here or call warriors from their homes to fight on her behalf."

Sailor Navi seemed to consider his words briefly before sniffing at him as though she couldn't be bothered with his ideas; but her tone said something different. It was as though the Dark Mirror Senshi was... saddened by his words or maybe it was his take on the..."war" they were currently a part of. So he didn't take too much offense to her words. Especially since she seemed willing to talk with him, rather than throw half a dozen punches at his head or rip his starseed from his chest (all of the above being really good things, in his mind). When Navi spoke of her Princess, Aegir could practically feel her passion; the dedication and sheer conviction that the Dark Mirror Senshi had in her Princess was actually pretty inspiring. Sure, Castor had told him about Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion and the reincarnation stuff...but the Senshi of Hail hadn't spoken with nearly the conviction that Sailor Navi just had. Castor had spoken with strong emotion, but...it had been different, somehow. "I can see why you'd say that...Earth belongs to it's people, but, I was born here. I wasn't called from some other place that I can recall. I've got a mom and dad and family...the Earth is the only home I know." He tilted his head a little bit, expression thoughtful. Clearly he wasn't dismissing her words outright and was taking them into consideration with whatever it was that he knew. "I really just want to keep people safe, you know? I want to protect the people I love and care about, the people of this beautiful planet. I don't want them to get hurt...to have their starseeds ripped out or anything. It's why I fight." Aegir felt as though he could say that to Navi without having her take it the wrong way.

That small, sad frown had returned again as Aegir spoke of his parents, ans she gave a tiny shake of her head. "You were born into this body, but this is not your home. This is not even your first life as what you are." Navi had no memories of a former life, but she had heard enough from others from Ares, to know that what she said was true. That, however, would lead down a line of questioning that Navi would have no depth in. She needed to steer their conversation back onto familiar ground. "We all have those that are precious to us that we want to protect," she agreed, even smiling softly as she took another step closer. Head titling as she watched his face. "If this war ended, there would be no more fighting, no need for energy. The danger would stop." Hesitantly she lifted a hand to touch his arm. A harmless gesture, and hopefully not peacefully. "No one else would have to get hurt, but the war needs to end.." The hand fell away, and she half turned, watching him out the corner of her eye. "Are the humans not entitled to their planet?" Her head turned, attention seeming to drift out into the darkness, but after a moment her voice filled the quiet. "You could join us," she mused. "Join a true cause, a real family. Follow a real queen, instead of the fragmented memories of a false monarch from another world."

Even though she was supposed to be one of his enemies, Aegir found himself believing her claims about his "true" parentage. Maybe it was the way her expression become so sad and downcast, or maybe it was just that she was so willing to tell him things. Whatever the reason(s) behind it, Colin believed Sailor Navi when she said that he was born into this body - reborn into it, rather - and that his true home was some planet far, far away. "Wow...that's...I don't know what to say. I mean, finding out that I'm an alien is hard enough, but one that's lived more than one life? It's a lot to think about..." But clearly, he was trying and she was 'getting through to him' one way or another. Sailor Navi's smile as she came closer kept Aegir from tensing up too much - she didn't give off the sense that she was going to suddenly do a one-eighty and try bashing his brains in; he watched her with a ghost of a smile himself, aware but not really wary. "It'd be wonderful if it ended." Aegir sounded wistful; the end of fighting and hurting would be a wonderful thing - clearly they both agreed on that much! Navi's hand on his arm caught his attention, but he took it in the vein that it was offered: a peaceful means of connection between two people that seemed to have complementing ideas. Humans? Deserving? Absolutely. Even if he himself wasn't a human, he agreed. "Absolutely. They shouldn't have to fight anyone for the right to live peacefully. The Earth is our-er, their home." His surprise when Navi said he could join them wasn't great, but it was present in the way his head jerked a bit. At the least, the boy didn't look disgusted with her suggestion, just...uncertain. Thoughtful, even. "I...don't know...that's not something to decide without some soul searching, you know?" Colin worried his lower lip with his teeth, mind racing with thoughts brought on by the Dark Mirror Senshi's words, by the encounters he'd had previously...by what the future might bring. "I appreciate what you've told me, Sailor Navi. Thanks for being so straight-forward and saying the truth. But I think I'm full up for now. My brain's spinning right now." The curly haired scout gave her a crooked sort of smile and offered his hand to her in that ever-polite gesture of respect: a hand shake. "As much as I'd like to keep going, I know my limits." "Um...is there any way I can contact you again?" Beejoux Sorry for the delay @__@;; I'd love to continue and finish..probably another post or two, ja?

"Alien is such inadequate term," she interjected softly, amusement evident in the curve of her lips. 'Alien' brought about images of grey men with large heads and oval eyes. Creatures of all shapes and sizes. Strange crafts, suits, weapons. She shook her head, sending curls to dance along her cheeks. But she did concede that there was quite a lot to absorb from everything she'd told him. It did make her wonder though, how very much the newly awaken soldiers of the white moon were told, if anything at all. Ares had been so very forth coming with what they were, who they were, and their goals as a court. Navi had been given answers, not more questions. She remained quiet as he remarked on some of what she'd said. Nodding where appropriate, or smiling encouragingly, but she let him speak his mind without further overloading it. He had taken her at her word, trusted her and what she had had to say. She felt little reason to badger him senselessly. And if he wasn't exactly eager at her invitation, he was at the very least receptive, and that was what mattered. It was better this way. If he'd jumped at the chance she would have thought him a fool for following the unknown blindly. She would he mulled over her words, and thought carefully of his choices. It would make it all the more sweet in the end when he made the inevitable, proper choice. "Certainly take all the time you need to consider it. There is no statute of limitation," she chuckled, touching his arm again. That subtle show kindness. "It's an open invitation." She dipped her chin in a nod at his gratitude, then lifted a hand to tuck a stray curl of ginger behind the shell of her ear. "Thank you for being willing to listen." As for a means of communication? "If you need me then you can find me here in the park most nights."

'Alien is such an inadequate term' The Dark Mirror Senshi's words echoed softly in his head and he had a flash of understanding: she was correct. When people thought of 'aliens', they thought of the ones from T and Movies that were from strange planets, or - for those really nasty sorts of people - illegal immigrants. And the senshi? Well, technically they were both...and yet, neither. Because he truly didn't think that they all wanted to take over the Earth - Aegir certainly didn't! He wanted to leave the Earth happy, protected and a wonderful place for his friends and "family" to continue living. Navi likely would have been appalled at how little Sailor Aegir had been told at the start of his 'career' as a Scout - not because the White Moon didn't want him to know things, but because his "guardian cat" - Derpraline - was a bit... off. She had told him the basics, the rest...well, he'd gotten some from here and there, but mostly he'd learned about being a senshi by just experimenting, being himself...or, heaven forbid, from non-order agents such as herself. "Thank you again, Sailor Navi. I really do appreciate you telling me all this." Her hand on his arm didn't startle or cause him to be wary anymore, he just smiled at her, expression open and bright. She'd given him a lot to think about, which he appreciated greatly. But as gullible and accepting as Colin - Aegir - could be, he still wasn't going to just jump in head-first without giving things some thought...maybe discussing it with his boyfriend. It might seem strange to thank him for listening, or her for talking even, but for two scouts from different factions...it was a big deal. "I'm always willing to talk, instead of fighting." He shrugged a little bit, knowing that not all senshi were like him in that manner. "I'll keep that in mind. Uh, if you need - or want - to find me, I almost always run by the DC Fun Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays."
