Tori still wasn't total confidant in using her weapon total and Aklin keep on telling her it would take time for that to happen and that he would help her out when she didn't know what to do. It all still made her feel stupid that she had read about fighting and thought that it would work out the same when done physically and she had been proven wrong on her first mission.

Growling at herself as she thrust her sword at the dummy that she was practicing on as she didn't land the blow that she had wanted.

Then what do you suggest as I do have to think to keep you swinging. She answered as took another swipe at the dummy.

Ok I think that I can do that.
Still a little huffy at her failing, but she did what Aklin told her as she let her thought go and constrate on what was in front of her.

So stay flexable how things go in a fight and don't go rigid like ice.
Tori could feel that Aklin smile at what she told him was how he want her to fight and prodded her to keep on going and she kept on hacking away at the dummy with her sword.

He'd wandered into the training area as he sometimes did. Just to observe others or to try and pick up a spar himself or at least that is what he told himself that he would start doing now a days since so much more depended upon his readiness in the field as of yet this was the first and only time he appeared outside of a mission or the time he had sparred with Before but those times didn't matter right now. What mattered was that someone else was there and they seemed to be working really hard at whittling down a dummy.

It was an interesting watch.

{We should do that one day, Jude,} Yom observed causally as if giving him a hint.

Jude nodded lightly in agreement. He really should do more training with his weapon and just in general. He crossed his arms over his chest and debated on whether or not he should capture the other Trainee's attention or not. There was a bit of a pause before he called out, "Careful with your footing if you're too light the enemy will bowl you over with no effort. You do need some resistance."

Focusing on her target, Tori didn't know that she had someone watching her as she fought the dummy. She had started to improve a little from the last time she had practiced as this was all a new learning process for her and she liked it but at the same time it was frustrating to her as well.

It was in mid thrust did she hear another person tell her that she was light on her feet that has surprised her as she gave a little jump and slacked a little too much on her hold of the chain in her other hand. When she pulled her sword back and took a step back did Tori trip on it falling to her butt and looked behind her to see that it was another trainee standing there.

But, but.... Was all she could say to Aklin as she was so embarrassed that she had fallen on her butt and for the fact too and that she could be startled easy when focusing on a task.

Alright. Tori told Aklin as she got up off her butt and brushed it off. "Ummm..." she hesitated as she was trying to find words to say and Aklin was pushing her to say more. "Um, thanks for the advice," she finally said sheepishly as she mentally was cursing at herself for her reactions. "Sorry, I'm Victoria, but I many go by Tori," she quickly added unsure of herself as she fidgited with the chain in her one hand as she grew nervous too as she didn't want to make more of a fool of herself than she already had.

Jude tilted his head and gave a small smile as he nodded toward her, "No problem," and he was about to just let it go at that and attend to his own training when she continued speaking to him. Old Jude would have just been annoyed at someone continuing to speak to him but more and more he was finding that it wasn't the case. He was becoming somehow a bit friendlier for the most part. At least he was a bit more willing to talk to others.

"I'm Jude," he replied quietly as he moved toward her and offered a hand to shake, "pleased to meet you." Now came the awkward moment where he was uncertain where to go with the conversation at all.

...Awkward times ahead in Jude-ville.

Yom gave a small giggle, {Asssk how she likesss it here!}

At least Yom was being a bit helpful, "How are you holding up? You like it around here?" Jude asked.

Tori smiled sheepishly back while she tried to calm herself back down as he didn't say anything about how foolish she known she had looked. Aklin had keep on poking at her to not worry so much about what others thought. "Thanks again," she said still being really polite with her thoughts still in full gear.

"Its a pleasure to meet you as well," she replied as she stepped forward as her weapon went into his unsummoned form and she gave Jude's hand a shake.

Aquardly she stood there for a second unsure of what to say or even do because she didn't want to make herself more of a fool. She did listen to the question that he did ask her and thought on it as she fiddled with her fingers.

Ok, she replied to her weapon and found her voice again. "I'm holding up alright so far to all of what has happened as everything is just so different to what I'm use to," Tori replied. "Actuality I really like it a lot as I get to do things I want for the most part," she added and she did like to have some choice instead of none at all.

"No problem." Jude uttered quietly. It wasn't like he was unfriendly and he wasn't prone to insulting others based on how foolish they looked or behaved unless it was toward him and annoyed him somehow but even then he had gotten to where he just let it slide to a point. After they shook hands he let his hand drop toward his side.

This felt awkward in many ways mostly due to the setting and also because he didn't know this young woman so he had no idea what to do with her or what to say. He was about to just give up and move on when she suddenly spoke up again.

"Oh, well that's good," Jude said with a small smile, "I am glad that you are finding your...umm..way of things," he said in awkward way a hand reaching up to wave at the air as he sought out what he wanted to say. He had no idea of her past and ... did their past really matter anymore? It didn't seem like it. They gave their pasts up to be here...

He cleared his throat a little bit and glanced off toward the side before he looked toward her again, "Seems like you might need a small break, want to join me for coffee in the cafeteria or something?

Letting her own arm fall to the side of her body, still a little nervous about everything but she wasn't at the point that she would say random information as that would have just made this just so more awkward than things were already. Tori had been fishing in her own head to figure out what to say when she started to fiddled with the end of her braid.

"Umm, thanks," she replied also giving a small smile in return. Aklin kept on poking her to say more but she just promptly was just not paying attention to it at all right this second.

Tori pulled at the end of her braid a little more when Jude cleared his throat as she felt so awkward at unable to know what to say and that she wished that she had more social skills too. "A break does sound nice and sure I will join you for some coffee," she replied.

Taking note of what her weapon's advice, searched in mind to what she could ask and then she thought to what she loved the most books. "So, Jude do you like to read books?" she asked sheepishly.

"Well. Um...Follow me then," he said quietly as he moved to lead the way out of the gym and toward the cafeteria where coffee could be had. Delicious and wonderful coffee. Sure the stuff at the cafeteria wasn't the best (to Jude's tastes) but it was drinkable. As he lead the way forward he blinked a little and nodded, "Yeah. I read a bit," more like a lot. "Do you like to read?"

It wouldn't take them very long before their feet found them at the cafeteria where Jude more or less directly lead them to where the coffee was being served he only made a short stop to pick up some éclairs for himself, not that he didn't want to get Victoria any he just ... Didn't know if she wanted some and didn't think to ask.

Oh Jude, you wondrously awkward fellow.

"Alright," Tori replied as she quietly followed Jude to the cafeteria. It might have been a while since the last time she had any but it was good thing to have around. Tori had nodded at his replied as that was a good thing that he did read at least a some. "I do. I like to read anything I can," she replied, now that she didn't have any restriction on what she was aloud to read. "What type of books do you like to read?"

Once at the cafeteria Tori still followed Jude to were the coffee was being served. Watching that he had made a short shop to what she could see were éclairs and she spotted that there were some donuts too. To which she did grab a few of her own and not minding at all that Jude didn't ask if she wanted any éclairs as she was going to enjoy the chocolate long john herself.
