It was admittedly a little difficult to even head in the direction of the gym again, but Thackery was trying hard to suck it up and move on. He couldn't prove how awesome he was to the other students if he cowered and hid and was a completely useless little mongrel when worse came to worse, he kept telling himself, and learning how to approach a fight would be the best way to refrain from doing that.
The halls were mostly empty with the exception of the occasional gnome or student glued to their eyephone. No cloaked figures so far. No suspicious hunterstudent things. If any of the other students were avoiding the gym area, he definitely couldn't blame them. Visions and memories had been showing up with an alarming frequency when he closed his eyes.
Stepping through the doors, he wandered cautiously into the gym, pausing in the center to await impending doom. His tail stopped wagging, his gaze flickered from corner to corner, and he stood perfectly still. This observation tactic was completely flawless except for the fact that he had absolutely no idea what was going on behind him.

Was that a person who just came in? From where she stood facing a corner Savior couldn't see anything, not that....she would have been able to where she not having her head in the corner. The Marrowstripe's location was irrelevant because she could smell him first, or rather the lack of her scent. Smell was very important to her because her smell was the best thing every, and so when she didn't smell herself she turned her head and looked.
He'd moved passed her and was standing there, looking around. Sneaking up from behind Savior gave this newcomer a poke in the ribs with one of her fingers. A greetings, of sorts. "Ossu."

With a squeak more becoming of a rat than a ferocious Cerberus, Thackery jumped nearly a foot in the air in shock. By the time he reached the ground again, he was in a panic, hurrying to face his attacker. Both hands were up in some pathetic attempt at defense that looked more like a surrender, palms out to face the stranger.
The boil breathed a sigh of relief when he realized it wasn't a red-cloaked hunter, and that there were no net guns in sight. Just another student. He'd seen this one before, hadn't he? His head tilted slightly to the side in contemplation.
"Ah...hi!" His initial greeting came out a little loud, likely a side-effect from being startled. He tried again. "Hi." Much better. "I know you, don't I? Your name is...uh...um."
Well. Maybe not.

"Savior. Marrowstripe, munster." Savior repeated her usual greeting system since she figured that might be coming next after being asked her name. "Who youse." Savior bent over and looked closer at this figure, her green eyes peering into his as she dared not blink. Was he here to try and pick a fight, or was he honestly curious about Savior?
Either way she reached her hand out, as if to touch him, though it merely hovered in the air. "Wut doin."

It must have just been the other student's face that had been familiar - Thackery was sure that he didn't recognize the name. "Oh! Okay. I'm Thackery." He considered leaving it at that, but decided that copying her greeting couldn't hurt anything. "I'm a Cerberus triplet, and we're demons. Awesome demons." A demonstrative finger went up to point at his ears, as if to say see? doggy!
"Well, um. I guess I don't know. I wanted to work on my fighting skills, so this seemed like a good place to go...but I didn't really think it through. What were you doing here?" He hadn't seen her when he came in, and was sure he hadn't heard the door. It weirded him out a bit.
Awkwardly, he reached out to take her hand for a handshake, contorting his arm so the angle was right.

"Demon, Tackry. Ausum." Savior nodded to all those things, wondering if she was going to place all that information in her brain somewhere. Likely she was going to forget everything anyway but for now she'd learned a name, some words, and all was good.
At the word fight, and at the extension of his hand, Savior assumed this boy wanted to brawl and therefore grabbed his entire arm in the process and proceeded to try and toss him. Of course that was all in her mind, she actually just took his hand, and the Marrowstripe nodded. "Fight gewd. Savior fight youse."

((initiative roll~))
The Cerberus beamed at Savior, pleased that finding an opponent to battle was far more simple than he had assumed it would be. What his smile didn't show was that he was completely terrified from toes to ear-tips. Physical fighting wasn't very high up on the List of Things That Thackery Is Good At; actually, it probably wasn't on there at all. But the encounter with the hunters had shown him that he was obviously going to have to have some skill in this, because Ash couldn't be around to protect him all the time.
And what kind of guard dog didn't know how to fight, anyway?
He gave her hand another firm shake and pulled away. "Here goes nothing." Dear Jack, he pleaded silently, don't let me fail miserably.

Okay so they were going to fight after all? Savior practically beamed from where she was standing because all it seemed like she'd been doing lately anyway was punching holes in people's skulls. Not really a bad time of it.
"Savior first." The monster struck her battle pose, clawed fingers ready to strike. She had wanted to win this time, since...well, winning was fun. Also she was getting stronger and her opponent looked a little weak.

Perhaps Savior was a bit overconfident, or perhaps she wasn't paying attention, but either way her first lunge at Thackery had her missing him. . .but just by a hair. The way her hand lunged passed his head would have given him the sound of 'whoosh!' Also, a lovely leftover scent of citrus.
Yes. Citrus.

Though Thackery thought he had been prepared for this, the sound of the attack barely missing him made him want to just calmly turn around, walk back to his room, and go back to doing less potentially damaging things.
His kneejerk reaction was to strike back at her. He punched her pathetically in the shoulder like a small child fighting his older sibling.

Thackery's hit made Savior look down at the spot where he's struck, and she whistled in confusion at the spot. She swung her hand down in response though it once again missed the Cerberus pup.
Either she found him too cute to hit, or she was just really unlucky today.

Her strikes looked so strong! As Thackery managed to avoid her once again, he nearly made a little whining sound, somehow managing to turn it into a "hm!" of determination. That's what he told himself, at least. It was probably a good battle noise to make; anything was better than whining during a fight, anyway.
He held his breath as he took a quick step to the side and retaliated, connecting with just a little bit more force this time. But by Jack, it stung! It was as if her skin had the texture of gravel! He shook his hand a bit, pulling his middle knuckle to his mouth to soothe it. The softest of "ow"s could barely be heard past his clenched fist.

Apparently Savior was just going to stand there and take all these hits because Thackery was just too cute to hit.
Or maybe it was Savior was just curious as to why he was running around like that. Either way she didn't hit him.

There was still a faint, annoying pain spreading through Thackery's hand, like a hundred tiny papercuts had been dipped in a steaming bowl of Ginger's special soup. He tried to ignore it as he moved to throw another punch...which stopped before it got to her. He let his hands slowly drop to his sides, and he looked at her with furrowed brows. It was a look that seemed to imply she'd kicked the puppy.
"Are you letting me win because I'm not a good fighter?" he asked, worry flooding over him. What if everyone in the school had seen how he'd reacted when faced with real danger? His reputation would be ruined, and his brothers would surely disown him!

Okay, the cute factor quickly disappeared the moment the fighting stopped, and from beneath her mask Savior frowned as best she could without a proper mouth. No stopping in the middle of a fight, that was just rude!
so Savior decided to express her distaste for the sudden stop by slapping Thackery across the face. With her fist. (Also known as a punch, but she wasn't keeping track)
