Maybe it was because she was wearing only the ragged remnants of a sheet, or maybe it was because she often wore nothing at all, but for some reason or another Savior found herself the unwanted attention of a local pack of gnomes. It was weird to think of them like animals, seeing as they could walk, talk, and legally gamble, but the way they scurried around like little insects made Savior think of them as such. Before she took more notice of them they hardly bothered her but now, now that they were doing stuff around her (and one even dared to try and touch her) Savior felt like she'd had enough.
And by enough, that meant it was time for her to start kicking the creatures around like the punting objects they were. Her aim wasn't good though and eventually she forgot what she was doing, allowing the gnomes to scamper off and curse (and take photos or something). she was about to go back to just staring at a tree or a bench or whatever happened to be in her general eye direction when a gnome reappeared and grabbed at Sheet. He gave it a nice tug and tore a piece off, chuckling to himself about easy pocket money for a while.
Savior wasn't having that either and she gave chase, roaring the entire time as she attempted to catch the little pervert.

Normally, the benches between the Demon and Undead dorms weren't particularly interesting. Sure, they had been where West had met Tess, and had subsequently been groped by a purple tentacle, but the boil couldn't say that string of events had been interesting. More like... jackin' uncomfortable. That didn't stop him from lounging on one of them today, however. Any location was better than his room, where he usually found himself sitting in the dark more often than not nowadays, recalling how it felt to be burned alive. Being bored on a bench was definitely preferable.
But wait. What was that sound?
West sat up straight in his seat, looking off into the distance as he tried to determine where that roaring was coming from. It began to get louder, until he saw a sandy orange ghoul coming at him at a run, a frazzled-looking gnome sprinting in front of her, his little gnome legs churning as quickly as he could move them. The demon tried to look innocent as he stuck out his own leg, intending to trip the creature, and the gnome must have been truly preoccupied because he fell for it. Literally.
West stood, looming over the gnome before bending at the waist and snatching the fabric out of the tiny man's hand. He examined it with narrowed eyes, holding it out toward Savior before determining that there was nothing he could do to reattach the scrap. It was only very late in this entire process that he realized she was still wearing the sheet he had retrieved for her from the green recovery tent after the haunted house.
"What're y'still doin' in that?" he asked, gesturing at her crazy ensemble.

"Wessst!" The Marrowstripe didn't bother answering his questions right away as she instead decided that it was acceptable for her to cry out his name and launch onto him, wrapping her arms around his body in a hug. It was weird to think that Savior missed him (she did!) and it was even weirder to find that she remembered him despite having died and all. If going to sleep tended to make her forget all that had happened then surely death would have done the same, yet here she was still clinging to him. "Missed youse."
The gnome had almost entirely been forgotten about if it weren't for the fact he came over and yanked another piece of Savior's sheet away, successfully making it out of her sight this time thanks to her attentions being elsewhere. If Savior had really noticed she would have given chase again but she was otherwise too occupied with West to care.

"Yeah," West replied, idly patting Savior on her back while glaring at the gnome. If he had missed the ghoul he wasn't about to say so. When the gnome ripped another chunk off of her outfit, West shouted, "Hey!" and raised a fist, but his full-body Savioring prevented him from acting further. He supposed there wasn't much he could do to salvage her outfit anyway, even if he had possessed that piece. The demon tried to disentangle himself from the Marrowstripe, at the very least getting his hands onto her shoulders and pushing at her a bit, and it was only then that he finally processed her words.
"Missed... me?" He frowned. "How'd'y'even know who I am?" All the scars she had given him since he had met her were gone now, even the most recent one scratched into his forearm before the haunted house. He was glad he wouldn't need to be marked in order to be recognized anymore, but that didn't stop him from wondering what was different now.

Savior's eyebrows creased down as West pushed her away, clearly unhappy that her hug had to be stopped for questions. Was he not really that happy to see her either? He did pat her after all, but why stop the hug? Why not hug her back or something? Granted no one had ever hugged Savior of their own free will, but maybe one day that would change. "Youse has. Gave youse." Carefully she pushed a piece of her mask to the side and reached into her mouth, pulling out what looked like an emblem. If they were to be generated by FEAR Savior seemed to be doing a decent job of making them, and she held the round object between her index and middle finger. "Smell." Whether or not she actually wanted West to smell the emblem she had in her fingers was up for debate since she just as quickly put it back behind her mask as she had gotten it out.
So long as West had her emblem he would always carry her scent. While Savior might not remember West on her own the aid of her sand-smell helped trigger specific memories, thus always at least giving her his name. Their actions together would come and go but eventually she'd recall some of it. "Forget no moar. Never ugin." Forgetting people had only been hard when she met them again and that annoying buzz roared itself in her head. She disliked that aching feeling that something was missing and when Savior disliked something she occasionally got violent.
The school did not need a violent Marrowstripe.
"How youse bin." Time was a horrible thing for Savior to grasp so while she could have seen West about six months ago it would still be the same length in time as say....seeing him yesterday. Her brain didn't quite equate it but it was all good.

Oh. Right. He had been touched by the fact that she had handed over her pin, but had thought it nothing more than a gesture, something she'd seen others do and was now emulating. He had wondered why it smelled so strongly. Now it all made sense.
"Oh," he said, repeating his internal reaction aloud. Never again, eh? Well, that was good. Before he had encountered Savior, he had never been concerned that he might meet someone who he would have to introduce himself to every time they met. "I'm, um, good. I've been good." This was all very, very strange. Just standing in the middle of nowhere catching up with a ghoul wearing a ripped up sheet? Yeah. West stayed awkwardly silent for a few seconds, shifting his weight, then pulled off his jacket and held it out to the ghoul.
"Y'could wear this," he offered, pulling his hand back again. "Or I could... make it more Saviory?" It kind of disturbed him how little she was content to wear, but he doubted very sincerely she would actually wear an entire piece of outerwear. Even without his light coat, West was still wearing two shirts and heavy knee-high boots under his pants. Almost naked. Do not want.

How I wear jacket? If Savior could speak those words she probably would have but since she couldn't she merely stared at the jacket like it was something on fire and she was eager to figure out why. She took the object in her hands and flipped it over and around a few times, inspecting it in her own special way. Eventually she settled on the fact that it was not dangerous and she had no reason to fear it, but. . . why was it handed to her. "Wut dis. Wut Saviory." The Marrowstripe recognized her own name but the transmutation of it was different.
It eventually dawned on her though, after standing around for a few minutes with a breeze coming and going, that she was cold again. It wasn't as bad as the whole haunted house bit, not that she remembered that at all, but it did make her skin prickle with goose bumps. "Brr." The strips and bits of Sheet that she had left on her were flapping in the wind, only held on by the fact her skin was like sandpaper and therefore gripped everything.
"Wesst." She said his name randomly, like a prompt. She'd already asked a question though and knew that he would answer but it was just like her to press on....and on.

He watched Savior as she examined the coat, his expression two parts curious and one part amused. It had been a fairly good guess on his part that she would be confused by the garment, but West found himself wondering what was going through her mind as she looked at it. Not food, definitely, but apparently not clothing either. "It's clothes," he said. "An' by Saviory I mean I'll rip it up if y'like. Or at least make it, uh, less." He was no seamstress by any means, but surely if he cut it into little strips she could wrap them around herself like she seemed to enjoy. He smirked. If his parents knew he was considering ripping up a designer jacket for some sort of monster they'd never even heard of, they would be delightfully enraged.
"Y'get any a'that?" he asked. "Y'want it?" He pointed at the coat.

"Thank youse." Savior did her best to figure out how the jacket went on, not really sure if she wanted it ripped up or not. West probably wasn't aware that her skin really did all the shredding, not Savior herself, but that was just fine too. She didn't need to get all exposition on him anyway, not that she would even be remotely capable of it.
Eventually she did manage to get the jacket on but it was completely backwards and upside down. She wore it on her front like some kind of prized trophy and she grinned, or at least her eyes looked like she might have been grinning. "Dis." Was she doing it right is what she wanted to know.

Amusement took over as she finally got the coat on, and he smirked in response to her grin. West thought very seriously about zipping up the back, but he took a step away from the ghoul instead. Who knew how she would react to being locked inside her clothing? It wasn't a reaction he wanted to elicit right now.
"Yeah, like that," he affirmed. "Y'can keep it." He honestly had so many jackets that he wouldn't miss this one. "Dun let any gnome take it." West had never had a problem with the gnomes that skulked around the school, but he was a boil. They didn't seem to like boils much. Now that he thought about it, he had never actually seen a female gnome. Did they exist? He'd have to figure out his Groanspring password again and ask that one who'd harassed Riley.

"Gnome." Savior's face darkened at the word, as though her small brain somehow managed to connect that they were the vile creatures who had been taking away parts of her beloved Sheet. Even with West's jacket on now her sheet was in shreds and she was sad and....well, maybe she wanted a little bit of revenge? Sheet was damaged and not coming back and West had told her to protect the jacket from the gnomes as well, so maybe it was. . . . "Wessstt. Kill gnome."
Killing them seemed kind of harsh but she didn't know the words for punish and she certainly wanted to do more than just 'hurt' them. They needed to know that taking Sheet had been a mistake and since they weren't undead then Savior had a better chance of tearing them apart one at a time, maybe even eating them. She was still really, really hungry and that needed to be remedied sooner rather than later. West wouldn't know that of course, but she'd tell him.
Eventually.
"Wessst."

West looked thoughtful in response to the Marrowstripe's suggestion. Kill a gnome? He wasn't sure how well that would go over, but they could certainly... almost kill one, then let it go with a stern warning. He had no allegiance to the things, even if they were pretty damned funny, but he kind of didn't want to get kicked out of school at this point. It was fun here, despite all of the Hunters and death.
"Maybe we dun wanna kill 'em," he suggested. "Jus' shake 'em a little."
He watched her. She seemed uneasy.
"Saaaaavior?" he replied, unsure as to what she wanted. "We should find a gnome, probably? Maybe?"

"Not kill, shek." Okay, shaking was not killing it would be okay? Savior couldn't quite grasp how they were no longer going to actually extract revenge in the way she wanted to but whatever, maiming would work for her too. It was certainly going to be exciting and would give her a chance to get back pieces of Sheet, seeing as it was all but gone and West had given her a jacket he might have wanted back. "Less go."
She grabbed West's hand in her own, interlocking their fingers as she pulled at him. She didn't exactly have an idea of how to find a gnome but one of them was carrying a piece of Sheet, which happened to smell like her due to being on her body for so long. Having such a potent natural smell often came in handy, and Savior sniffed the air trying to catch it. West was with her and smelled faintly like her but thanks to practice and instinct she could smell the difference in what she needed. "Way. Dis."
Savior broke out into a run, pulling West along. Thankfully her hands weren't the same texture as her skin or else she'd have rubbed poor West's palm raw in the process.

He jogged along after his captive hand with no more protest than his usual frown. West thought he had a decent idea of what was going on with the ghoul, and he had no objection to being pulled along wherever she deemed necessary.
Chase.
Adventure.
Beatings.
Surely her keen sense of smell would lead them to the culprit. And then there would be a smackdown.
West really didn't mind if Savior kept his coat, but if she hadn't responded to him telling her that, he wasn't sure how else he could convey the information. Still, he planned to leave it with her if he could. She looked kind of badass in it, even if it was on backwards.
"Almost there?" he asked, his voice bouncing with the rhythm of his steps. At least this whole running around thing had become easier since he had begun his training.
