Since the attack, and since her talk with others about it, Amphi felt a little more of herself recovering from the shock of the death...and then being reformed. It scarred her, yes it did but with constant support and things to distract her, she wouldn't let the Humans keep her down.
So she steeled herself and took another chance at the school again today. Her legs felt unsteady as she walked through. She went to classes in a blur like state, running on auto mode before she ended up in the same place she had always thought about when she wanted to be alone. The woods.
Though what drew her there wasn't the sound of water, nor the pools. It was going over the steps of when the fight had broken out and when she had died. She touched the ground, not a burn or scar to the ground from the fire that had enclosed them all.
Sighing, she left the forest and was about to go back to her dorm when she caught the sight of golden sparkles. Following the glint that blinded her, she stepped into a grove where in the middle stood a tall second year, if she wasn't mistaken, red werewolf. She twirled to the sound of something soft and melodic, her ribbons and bell's only adding to her appeal which had Amphi staring. Landwalkers bodies could move like that? It was like watching on of her sister's swim but instead of a fin, she moved elegantly on two legs.
She didn't want to interrupt the she-wolf and continued to watch silently. Perhaps....She could ask her to teach her to do the same things as the girl.

LW wasn't even sure her mind could possibly take any more mental scars and phantom pains. Twice now she had been burned alive. And what? Three? Four? Who the Jack knew! Several times she had been with her fellow students facing the humans. Anger and it's ugly feeling were not something she was familiar with and rarely felt. But these humans were doing a damn good job at giving her a taste of what such an emotion really felt like. And the she-wolf wasn't sure she liked it.
But I have to be there for those I care about. My friends. Ren...
No. She had failed at the Island. Died and left friends behind. That memory still haunted her. And only got worse with the more recent times she'd found herself dissipated and reforming in Nurse Cricket's office or some other strange place. For just a few hours, she desperately wanted a break from those thoughts. To not feel anything. No guilt, sorrow, anger, pain. None of it. So when her classes had ended for the day, LW had gone up to her dorm room, collected a few minipets that needed fresh air, and gone out to the one place she always found she could relax at. The little hill towards the outskirts of the campus grounds. Towards the forest.
She moved on confident feet in fluid motions as she spun, twisted, stepped this way or that. Every part of her from fingers to tail flowed to a rhythm of bells, nature, and the soft music playing from her eyepod. Her eyes were closed and her mind cleared of everything but that deep, soothing feeling of music that called to her. Told her how to move.
It was her minipets that noticed someone watching first. Hazmutt and a new pet that seemed to be a brown wolf with autumn leaves curling up along his front legs. Austin and Fravashi both barked in greeting, pulling LW's attention to the ghoul that watched. Blinking as she seemed to fall out of the almost trance like state she was in before, LW beamed at the ghoul. "Hi there! Don't be shy, you can come on over. None of us will bite."

Amphi was pretty sure she was in love.
With the way the she-wolf's body moved, how it swayed to music and the rhythm The little silver bell's she had moved and clapped against her body, adding their own rhythmic tingle to the soft music and adding to the over all appeal of the whole thing.
She didn't know when LW had noticed her but when she did, it instantly brought a red flush to her face and had her gaping....with a face like a fish. Mouth open with a small O.
"Um, Oh, I-" She stuttered out before her blushed deepened. She really needed help with learning how to make her face LESS red. "I..I didn't mean to intrude." She came closer to the She-wolf, one who was very kind to her before looking at the other two dogs of the group. They were adorable, look at their ears! She looked back to LW before smiling shyly.
"You were moving very beautifully, I have never seen someone move so fluid like in water without actually being water." She ducked her head, "You we're dancing yes? Do...Do all Landwalkers know how to do that?"

The she-wolf stretched her arms out in front of her and wagged her tail lazily behind her. She gave the ghoul a warm smile, watching as Austin bumbled over to sit in front of her. He wagged his tail and gave a muffled 'woof' that was supposed to be translated as 'pets now please?'. Fravashi was a little more cautious, eying the ghoul before sitting down halfway between the two ghouls.
"It's no intrusion at all! I don't mind the company." She grinned and gestured towards the two minipets. "All those two do is nap or chase one another around anyways."
A faint pinkness dusted her cheeks at the compliment. And then her smile lit up. "Thank you! I love to dance very much. Have been dancing for....well as long as I could walk, I think?" She tilted her head a little, watching as the ghoul came closer - Austin trailing alongside her - and thought on her question. Landwalkers? "I'm sure they know how to move in something they believe is dancing, but no. Not everyone seems to have dancing down quite that well. Though there are some other students I've seen that move beautifully as well!"
"I'm LW, by the way. That attention begger by your side is Austin. And the other is Fravashi." She indicated each pet as she spoke. "Have you never danced before?" The she-wolf asked, a spark of excitement appearing in her gaze.

She absently petted the dog that had blatantly come to stand by her, giving her a look that just said, please...pet me...I am adorable. She watched the other pup as he was more wary of her and gave it a soft smile, holding her hand out for it to sniff.
As she cleared into the clearing, she looked up again at the She-wolf before smiling to her now. "That's good, I would hate to interrupt." She felt like she repeated herself but...it was only cause she was so focused on the idea of dancing, she just couldn't get over it!
"That must be so much fun! I haven't been on the land long enough to know that something like this existed." She flushed and looked down, "I am sad to say that I am sheltered mermaid, very long time in the sea and not on land so I don't all that most landwalkers do." She nodded again before sneaking a shy glance up at the she-wolf, "Ah, But still, you must be one of the best." Was she saying this because LW was the only one she had seen? Probably but she also thought it was true. LW looked so alive and happy when she danced!
She looked at the ghoul as she made her introductions before smiling down at the pup she was petting. "It's very nice to meet you Austin, and you as well Fravashi." She looked up again to Lw, "And you as well Ms. LW."
Her question had Amphi cocking her head before sighing sadly, "I have not experienced it what so ever. My legs are new to me and I do not know how to make them move like I would my tail. One day maybe when I am better with walking, I will learn to dance as well." But she wanted so badly to join LW in her dance today, it was just so...happy! She needed that.

Oh yes yes that was what he wanted! Austin leaned into the hand petting him with a satisfied huff, tail wagging away. Fravashi approached more carefully, sticking his head out to sniff at the hand offered. After a few sniffs, he licked the ghoul's hand and scampered back over to his lady master. The hazmutt was the attention whore, not him!
LW gave the ghoul a reassuring smile. "Trust me, it's no interruption to me if someone happens to come watch or say hi. Dancing can be done while talking too." She winked, twirling on light feet before standing next to her newest minipet, Fravashi. The she-wolf gave his head a pat and scratched behind his ears, shooting Austin a look. "Also, forgive Austin. He loves attention." She added with a chuckle.
A mermaid! Well that explained why she said some of the things she did! LW couldn't help but blush at the compliments. She didn't think she was the best, no sir! The she-wolf just loved to dance. Plain and simple. Understood it like so few others.
She could hear it, and even see it, in the ghoul's voice and body language. She very much wanted to dance. But she was not used to legs, it seemed. Well, there was never no better time to start then the present, right? LW gave Fravashi one last pat before moving towards Amphi with that light, dancers step. She looked over the ghoul, the way she stood, the small hesitations in steps when she walked. The she-wolf stopped when she was in front of the ghoul, a bright smile on her face.
"Well...how would you like to start learning today?"

Amphi giggled as the dog leaned into her hand, clearly enjoying the pets. Careful not to get too caught up in petting him...(cause she might've just got on the ground to do so.) She held her other hand out for the smaller puppy as he came over more slowly. They had a brief stare down, unsure of what to do before he licked her hand and scampered off. OMG so cute.
She pulled herself back up before smiling softly. "A odd combination should anyone pass by you though, to move so and still hold to talking to someone. I might get dizzy." She chuckled before flushing. "Ah, It's no problem! He is very adorable, and I can understand the need for attention. Well I mean, not me myself. I don't need attention..." She flushed again before shaking her head.
She was busy trying to loosen her tongue from unraveling what she just said wen LW stopped right in front of her.
"Learn?" Her jaw slacked as she stared at the she-wolf before shaking her head no, regardless that everything else of hers said yes. "I...I can't dance, I don't have good legs, I'll just embarrass you with it..." She rambled and rambled but...oh did she want to learn! She wanted to move elegantly!

The hazmutt merely gave his newest canine pal a snort. He was still warming up to the idea of strangers petting him. But that just meant more attention for Austin! He continued to wag his tail and lean into the petting until it ceased. With a soft sigh of contentment, the hazmutt planted his furry butt down right next to the new ghoul.
The she-wolf felt her own cheeks warm a little as she easily danced in a less complicated step while managing to continue their conversation. "Huh. I have to admit I never thought on that." Her eyes were slightly hooded as she let some internal melody lead each step and twirl she made. "I guess dancing is just so...so natural to me that I can sort of put it on autopilot and talk." LW bet that was how those in the theater did it too. Let their bodies move in the way they knew how to while their minds concentrated on other things. Like speech.
LW laughed lightly and looked at Amphi. "Don't worry. I know exactly what you mean." She said with a warm expression. "I feel the same way sometimes."
Now that she was in front of the other ghoul, LW eyed her slowly. Yes, she was right, and Amphi confirmed it. There was just something in the way the other stood that hinted towards a hesitancy in walking on legs. But she could and that was already successfully passing step one!
"Nonsense!" LW giggled and offered her hands to the other ghoul. "Come on, I'll be gentle and slow. You won't disappoint me, I promise!" The she-wolf gave her a sincere look. "Trust me. Now, take my hands and match the slow steps I take. We'll start with that until you feel that rhythm. Then I'll teach you how to really feel and move as I do."

"Ah that's good, I am just making sure, I mean I don't think your stupid and don't get what I am saying cause that make me feel stupid and oh my gosh I think I should just stop talking." She covered her mouth before sighing, She always did this, she always talked like this when she was nervous.

LW was so nice and so sweet.
"It's, I swear...." She just gave up before smiling, "Okay, As long as your willing." She started off with LW, moving her her legs before she accidentally hit LW's. "Oh! Oh gosh I am really sorry!"

The she-wolf laughed, a pleasant sound with no hint of offense in it. She could tell that Amphi seemed nervous and LW wanted her to feel relaxed. There was no need to be so nervous around her! She flicked her tail, the chimes of bells filling the air quietly as she moved.
"You are fine! And no, don't stop talking! Tell me about...how you are enjoying it here at Amityville?" LW let her hands curl gently around Amphi's as she pulled her closer and moved in a slow step. The ghoul's leg hit her own but LW just shifted her step and kept the slow rhythm going. "That was nothing." LW grinned, winking. "Now. First step in learning how to move like I do...relax!" She giggled. "Don't think so hard on what you are doing or where you step."
She released Amphi's hands to twist around on light feet and move in a manner that could be viewed as similar to water. Stepping back, she placed her hands lightly against the ghoul's sides. The lightest of pressure was pressed against one side or the other as LW began to move not only the mermaids legs but her body as well.
"Let's see...think of the water you are used to swimming in. And how the current can flow steadily and smoothly." As she spoke, the she-wolf would make small movements to have Amphi mimic a flowing and gentle step. "See? You're doing wonderful so far!"
