Rolled a One: Ice field : The temperature of the stadium suddenly drops several degrees (just enough so breath was visual and winter-wear is needed) as the stadium floor shifts for the upcoming battle. The floor turns into extremely slick ice which makes maneuverability, even simply standing, difficult. Randomly placed crystal-like pillars reach skyward from the frozen water, reflecting the florescent lights to all sides of the battle-field. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ICE type attacks

Patrick entered the chilly stadium and rubbed his hands together in order to gain some warmth. Geez, it sure was cold in here, especially since his clothing was more geared towards the summer and not the winter. God, these were the times that he wished that he carried a little bag around with him that had extra clothing in it. At least more layers would be better than the state he was currently in right now. It didn't help that he and the cold never got along too well.
Shivering, the officer fished out a pokeball that contained his new pokemon, Genevieve. It was strange how the tentacool had suddenly followed him around when he was patrolling the seas. She didn't try to attack him, strangely enough, but she did trail after the boat that he was on and wouldn't leave, no matter what they did. So, he had caught her: Simple as that. At the time he figured that the water pokemon would suffice as a new friend for William, however, as soon as he got home he found that the two didn't exactly see eye to eye. He shuddered as he thought about the aftermath of their meeting. Yeah...that was definitely not a pretty site.
Patrick clicked the small circular button as he stood there on the small platform, and threw it in the direction of the field, releasing the magenta and blue pokemon out onto the slippery ice. Might as well see how Genevieve did in battle against other pokemon. Who knew, she might be better at battling than William, although, he thought that it was highly unlikely.
Genevieve stared in wonder at the field for a bit, taking it all in. It was so cool, cooler than the waters that she had swam in at least. She gave a tiny shiver at how chilly the place was, not used to something like this at all. Were all stadiums like this? Giving a small noise, the tentacool decided to explore this foreign substance by sliding across it.

(( eek holy crap Bull...that is one very long intro whee ))
Cara walked into the stadium's arena and shivers were sent cascading through her body. She immediately knew exactly what field type they had gotten. ICE. The one that had been the bane of her existence for the past week. "Hopefully the ice will be nicer to Calypso..." Cara mused to herself. She once again wished she wore warmer clothing. Cara looked across the field to her opponent. It was a male, and they were fighting against another tentacool. This would be extremely interesting. Cara pulled out Calypso's pokeball and released her out onto the ice. "Do your best Calypso." Cara called after the pokemon, before going up into her trainer's box.
Calypso waved a tentacle back at Cara in acknowledgement then slip-slided out onto the ice covered field, ready for her next battle. She was interested to find out that her next opponent was another female Tentacool.
Cara called over to her opponent, "Hey! You ready to get this started?"

((Sorry. OTL. My posts tend to be a bit long. X'DD 'Tis a bad rambling habit of mine.))
Patrick leaned against the rails of the stand and stared at the trainer across from him. Eh, another chick? It wasn't like he had anything against battling against females, he just found that the only people that he had been fighting against had all been women. Weren't there any men in the area that wanted to battle or were there just a lot of women here? Or was it just a thing of coincidence?
Shaking these thoughts to the back of his mind, he turned to look at the pokemon which the woman had thrown out to battle. How peculiar; it was also a tentacool. Although the jellyfish-like pokemon was pretty common in the sea, he still found it interesting that there was someone else besides he that carried one too. Were there more people that kept that at hand that he wasn’t aware about? Probably. He wouldn’t find it surprising if he found a couple others that owned the same type of pokemon.
“Ready whenever you are!” the officer called out, his teeth banging against each other once he finished speaking, creating a chattering noise. Geez, you’d think that they’d at least have a separate room, or hell, at least an extra pair of clothes to keep them warm as they battled. “Genevieve, go have fun!”
Genevieve, not even waiting for her master’s command rushed towards the other tentacool. ’Another friend!’ she thought, her tentacles sliding across the slippery ice, ’I must give her a hug!’
The tentacool gave a noise of glee as she came closer to the other female and outstretched her tentacles; prepared to give the other one’s head a fierce embrace by using the move wrap.

((its ok, i would probably be writing a lot to but im pretty much burned out X3))
Cara laughed and smiled at the other tentacool's enthusiasm. She looked quite excited to meet, and possibly battle, Calypso. 'I wonder if she knows this is a battle...' Cara thought to herself. 'Anyway...' "Calypso use Supersonic!" Calypso broke free of Genevieve's 'Wrap'ing hug and moved a few feet away. She wasn't sure about this new tentacool. She then followed Cara's directions and shot out the high pitched Supersonic wave's directly at Genevieve in order to confuse her.

((Psssssst. I think you forgot to -100 HP from Calypso, since Genevieve was successful in that first wrap. xD <3))
Genevieve wrapped her slippery tentacles around Calypso's head in glee, not noticing that her "hug" was a bit too tight and was actually doing some damage to the poor pokemon. Ahhh, it was so nice to embrace her friends! It was one of her favorite things to do! Not that she got to do it often. Even during her life in the sea, her "friends" tended to run away from her in fright. And they didn't even bother to explain why they were trying to get away from her either, which didn't help things. What was so bad about hugging? Was she doing something wrong? If someone told her, she'd be willing to change her ways!
The tentacool watched as the other pokemon similar to her got out of her grasp and moved a couple of yards away. Was she going to run too? Or was she going to run and wrap her tentacles around her? Genevieve hoped for the latter.
Hovering, and looking at her new friend, she watched stock still as the other attempted to use supersonic on her. However, it barely missed her body and hit one of the icy walls of the stadium instead. That was strange, did her new companion want to hurt her? She hadn't done anything bad though, had she?!
Confused with how Calypso was acting, Genevieve rushed forward as she emitted a friendly gurgle-y noise, trying to hug her new comrade in another hug.

((Riiiight, fixed it...so many battles X3 i got in over mah head))
Calypso was wondering what was up with this tentacool. Was she trying to hug her or use an attack? Cara didn't know quite what to make of Genevieve's actions either. "This is one odd tentacool..." Cara mused to herself. "Ok Calypso, break free and use Payback!" She called out. Cara then yelled over to Genevieve's trainer, rather curious, "Does your tentacool know this is a battle?" Calypso nodded and managed to break free once more. She didn't really want to hurt the overly friendly Genevieve but this WAS a battle. She gurgled back a sort of apology as she powered up the attack and sent the dark energy flying towards the other tentacool.
