 Phineas groaned slightly as he gazed at his reflection in the small pond. His mane just wouldn't lay quite right and he frowned. This just wouldn't do! He fussed at it the best he could and risked another glance in the water's glassy surface. Better.. but still not perfect. He sighed and shook his head, then broke the image with his hoof.
He bent down to take a drink from the cool water, and wondered what he could do to amuse himself today.

 "Ah...hello, there... Who are you?" Vira asked softly, looking at her own reflection into the pond, distorted by ripples made by a nearby male. She was looking up at him, her head down, sipping at the water quietly. "How are you this day?"

Phineas looked up quickly, surprised to see a female Azrien standing there. He hadn't even heard her approach. He wondered where she had come from and if she was one of those disgusting human loving Azrien. Hopefully not.. but if she was, there was always the opportunity to corrupt.
He gave her a cool smile and bowed. "I am called Phineas.. and seeing as the day has just begun for me, I can't really say how it is quite just yet." He bent to take another sip, then glanced up at her and said," But then again it may prove to be... interesting... What is your name lovely one?"

"I'm Vira... It's just beginning for me, as well...And things are usually interesting at this time, moreso than day... And I am glad for its darkness- humans don't see so well... easier to sneak up on them, especially the stupid ones that stay near the edge of the isle, and push them off..." Vira smirked, thinking about the last time she'd done that, as a half-grown foal. It had been such a simple thing, really...

Phineas grinned maliciously at that last statement. So! She was like him... disgusted by those fleshy two leggers... Just the thought of them made his lip curl in hatred.
He tilted his head toward her and said, "Ah yes... I much prefer the darkness as well." His eyes twinkled and he smiled, baring his teeth slightly. "Those stupid fleshbags don't see all that well to begin with..."
He gave his reflection of last rueful look.. that darn mane still wasn't as pristine as he'd like.. and daintily stepped away from the water's edge, being careful not to muddy his hooves.

Vira grinned at him, and then looked around quietly. "What were you looking at in the water, Phineas?" she asked after a few seconds, taking note of his dainty steps back from the water's edge and rueful look at the pool. Perhaps it was vanity that compelled him? If it was, she could definitely use that to manipulate him...

Phineas gave her a slightly puzzled look. "Hmm? Oh! Nothing.. nothing at all really.. just contemplating what sort of tricks and mischief I might get into today." He gave her what her hoped was a winning smile. "You know... foals to corrupt, goodie two-shoes to manipulate, and humans to destroy and all..."
He tossed his curly mane behind him and smirked, wondering just what this day would bring. It did look quite promising so far.

Vira offered him a smile before looking around. "I see you and I are very much alike... Except I don't play tricks. I commit acts..." she smirked, and then lifted her head, ears flicking forward as she looked back behind him. "Do you... hear that?"
"Stupid little bro... why'd he take off like that... Mid-sentence even...I think he came through this way, though... oughta beat him bloody for leaving me ta foot the bill..." a deep, resonant baritone sounded over the plains, irritation and boredom tainting the tones a bit. The male possessing that voice was a thin, but muscular male, with a long-sleeved top, that buttoned and had a high collar, in bright, blood red, with golden hems. His eyes, nearly black, scanned the area as he walked, hands behind his head, squishing a few of the spikes there. He wore an over the shoulder blade, which was wickedly curved into a half-moon shape, with a black blade, inlaid with gold runes. It was a fine blade- he knew. He'd made it himself.

He frowned slightly and turned in the direction she was looking, flicking his ears forward as well to catch any sounds. He could hear someone talking faintly.. but the sounds were slowly getting louder, as if it was coming closer to them. He flared his nostrils, trying to get a scent, but whatever it was, it was still too far off to identify.
He looked back at Vira, smiling mischieviously. "Would you like to go investigate, milday? Whoever it is could serve as amusement for the day..." He let the sentence trail off, waiting for her reply.
