There was one thing that Kouki was very adamant about when it came to Madison's training - she had to learn to fight more effectively, weapon against weapon. Blade against blade. Sword against sword. In studying the swordplay of others, she would improve her own. That was the theory, anyway. In practice, she hadn't seen any other Hunters with swords like Kouki, and the number of Hunters with swords of any kind seemed surprisingly low. At least their sparring with Ben had given Madison a few ideas, and given that one of the potential candidates had actually talked to her about sparring later on... Marcus was the grand prize winner. So to speak. Madison had sent him a text one morning... iStoleYurVamps hey u want 2 spar? meet @ traing grnd @ 10am? Hopefully, he'd remember and take her up on it. If not, another round of smacking training dummies around was better than nothing.

Most with blades had chains and things at the end of chains. See, balls at the end of chains, or guns. Marcus's blade just had a small tassel, (which Dis told him to call his love tail. Marcus would not call it such). His blade was rather simple if curved as a bit- pervy. He'd gotten over that fact and learned to live and deal with it, (like a boss).
The text from Madison was a nice thing. She'd taken him up on it and now- Training time. Ten am was a bit early for him, (he hadn't gotten used to that yet), but he's gotten dressed and gone to meet her. "Hey!" He gave a small wave running up to her. "Called about some training right?'

Madison had already summoned Kouki and was warming up, doing stretches, some of which were orthodox and others her weapon had just made up. "Hey! Yeah... thanks for coming. I, uh, wasn't sure... I mean, I don't know you that well but... yeah!" She gave him a cheerful, slightly shy smile.
"There's not all that many people with just straight-up swords, y'know? And Kouki here won't shut up about how I need to watch other people with swords fight so I can learn, and stuff." She rolled her eyes in a fond sort of way. "If you're ready..."

Madison grinned, then lunged, slashing at one of Marcus' legs with one of Kouki's blades. One blade went down; the other stayed up in a guard position, though it was a little wobbly. She was still working on controlling two swords at once in different positions, rather than just moving both arms together, mimicking every movement.

He winced as she landed the first blow. "Guess two is better than one huh?" A grin as he went for her legs in turn. It was a quick slash, but nothing to scoff at. "Once we're done you going to go after some other poor shmucks and lure em into a fight?"

Madison tried to block, but while Marcus' weapon was a sword, it was a heavier weapon than Kouki's blade. With a clang of metal, his blade easily slipped past her guard and sliced her legs. Or, well, the FEAR shield around her legs. It stung. "I didn't ask because I wanted to, like, beat you up or something," she said, making a face; the expression slipped to one of genuine concern. "You didn't think that, right?"
Belatedly, she remembered they were still fighting; she jabbed at him, but the movement was an afterthought.

He laughed lightly. "Nah. I mean, Me and gale have gone at it five times now? We don't hate each other, it's just a matter of us wanting to get better, no shame in that." Not to him at least. "I only have issue with a few guys but for most part we keep to ourselves."
Unless it was Bix. They they b***h fought. Stabbing he hoped to breach her defense and get a solid move in

Ooof! Yeah, the imbalance between their weapons was really becoming obvious - she'd been thinking of his larger blade as being more like Kouki's swift, light form, but it was really more like Before's wheel or something. Heavier. Slower. She had to change her tactics and stop trying to block as if she were defending against a light weapon.
"Good... thanks for that," she said, trying to shove his blade away with both of hers, then jabbing at his thigh again with her right-hand sword.

"No problem." He said as he blow the blow and winced. She was lighter than he was, able to make faster blows. "I really don't mind sparring. Keeps me in shape and all that good stuff." A slash at her arm.

"It must, you're definitely in better - ow!" She yelped as the hit made it past her guard; while Kouki's power took most of the damage, it still stung. Her answering slice was uncoordinated, hitting nothing but air.
