Kitty kitty kitty. At least she was a pretty kitty. Albireo was sitting in front of a lake, cleaning her fur and trying to catch a fish. She was so hungry…and just wanted to eat something…and the idea of fish made her little kitty mouth water.
So far her luck wasn’t very good and the fish kept swimming into the deep water, far past where Albireo dared to enter. Oh well. Sooner or later she would manage to get one of the fish, and it would be delicious, and her belly would be full. Once that happened, the only noise coming from her stomach would be purrs of contentment, not hunger grumblings.
When she turned back into a human…she was going to beg her mother to take her to some buffet…a really big, delicious buffet. She was going to get at least seven plates full of food, and it would be fantastic.
The cat stared up at the sky, thinking of all of the food, not bothering to notice anything else around her. Her daydreams were so much better than anything reality could bring.

Navi was on the hunt. Not for food or wayward senshi, but for prime locations to plant mirrors. This was a task that would never be complete. Every time it felt as though they had enough, something happened that forced a member of their team to go searching for a quick exit, so the job would never be over, not so long as this war raged on.
Frankly she hadn't really expected to run into another senshi, though she wasn't really sure why. The white moon court out numbered their much smaller one 3 to 1, easily, and she knew they made a habit of patrolling nightly. Granted, this particular senshi didn't appear to be patrolling.
Wandering towards the pure aura of order, Navi quickly realized that the source was another cat. This one a wash of blues and greens with white legs, the star on her forehead golden instead of black. She didn't know what the other girl was up to at the edge of the lake, but it didn't look very productive.
Every step she took closer was a surprise. She expected at any moment to see that flop eared head turn in her direction, but she never so much as stirred as Navi drew nearer. She crept along until there was only a yard between them, then sat back on her haunches, smiling faintly. "Have you got your head in the clouds? That's dangerous you know. People might sneak up on you if you're not paying attention."

Her answer tumbled out of her mouth before she could stop it, and she glanced over to the other cat. “Well, they can sneak up on me all they want so long as they bring me some food. The fish just won’t let me eat them and I’m so hungry it’s gone past the amusing stage and into the just plain sad stage.”
It was another talking cat…was it a guardian cat…or someone turned into a cat. Well, whoever it was. It was someone to talk to. That was nice.
“Well, are you a normal guardian, or a wayward Senshi like me? I’m Sailor Albireo on normal days…it’s nice to meet you. Do you have any food?”
Ah. Curse her rumbling stomach. Oh well. At least she stayed with her wants. Still though. All she wanted was that buffet and the twelve plates. Twelve plates full of funnel cakes. Now, that was something worth daydreaming about.

Dark paws shifted against the grass, then disappeared as Navi pulled her tail to wrap around her toes, the tip flicking gently in mild amusement. "Well unfortunately I haven't brought any food." Thankfully the other Dark Mirror Senshi had made arrangements for the two of them that had been turned into cats, and that included keeping them well fed.
Her smile grew as the other senshi asked what manner of cat she was, but it faltered as she introduced herself. That name, it was very familiar, but where did she know it from? "Wayward Senshi," she answered, though her tone had gone thoughtful as she mused over the name. There were only so many within the white court she knew by name or reputation, so the list was short.
It clicked after a moment, and what remained of the dark senshi's smile slid away altogether. "Nice to meet you, too." Not that it translated from her tone.
This was one of the senshi that had attacked ganged up on her room mate. She'd found Alberio's handy work bled all over Quinn's floor when she found her laying unconscious on the floor. She'd been warned to contact the other girl immediately if ever she ran into the senshi of swans, but she had no compact, no ability to reach any on her team, but here was a chance to get a little revenge on behalf someone she had come to consider family.

Her already droopy ears drooped a bit more. “Oh. All right, then. Do you…think you could help me catch a fish? Are you hungry too?” She turned away from the other cat, thinking it to be a friend, not really minding the darker chaotic aura—she figured that even if it was one of the Dark Mirror senshi…they were all cats. They wouldn’t bicker. It wasn’t as though they had a choice in this, and since they were cats, they had to stick together!
“Well, if you’re alone, you’re welcome to travel with me…I’ve been trying to find somewhere to stay…or someone to stay with. If you’re stuck this way, we might as well stay together, right?”
Besides…Her mouth began to water slightly and she saw a fish swimming near the surface. Maybe together they would be able to catch fish…and feast.
Twenty plates of food at that buffet. Maybe twenty one for good measure. Yeah. So much food. So much food all the time.

"Help?" Her head tilted, and she glanced down at the water at the other cat's feet. "Ah, the fish. I myself am not hungry, My teammate and I have been very well taken care of through the course of the week." She smirked to herself, taking satisfaction in the fact that Alberio was starving and stuck on the streets while Leto was comfortable and taken care of among loved ones.
"Again, I'm afraid I must disappoint you." She stood at that, slinking forward at a leisurely pace. "You see myself and my teammate have been remained in our home, and we have friends from our court that stop by to see to our needs." Her head tipped, and she was smiling again, though it was far from friendly. "I believe you've met my teammate actually, Sailor Leto."
She continued to move closer until she was standing right beside the other girl, attention lingering on that pretty face while green eyes seemed glued to the fish in the water below. If she'd had hands it would have been so easy to simply drown the senshi beside her in her current state, but alas, Navi was stuck with paws. Still, she was never one to miss an opportunity.
"It was fish you wanted to catch? Here, let me help you with that." Raising up on her back feet, the darker cat pounced, forcing the paler feline into the lake and below the surface, all five pounds of her weight dedicated into holding her under. It was wishful thinking on her behalf that had her imagining things to go that smoothly, but hey, a girl could dream.

A fish wiggled by, and Albireo’s eyes lit up. Yes! Just a little closer…and you would be dinner, you slippery little devil. Come to my belly! She let out a mewl of excitement, then blinked. Leto? Oh! This was one of Leto’s teammates.
The cat grinned, not taking her eyes off of the fish. “I know Leto, yeah! We’re fri—“ All of the sudden…she was under the water.
Her mouth opened and then clamped down…On the body of a fish. Oh! Oh yes! Navi had helped her indeed! She got a fish! Finally! Food!
The cat wiggled, trying to let Navi know that she was ready to get out of the water, that she managed to get the fish and everything was good now. It wasn’t until a few more seconds passed that she reaized that something…might not be quite right.
She swallowed the fish whole, grimacing at the way it squirmed on the way down, and having the fleeting question of what would happen with the bones got stuck in her stomach or something, but…it didn’t seem to matter, the fact that something was in her stomach just made her night.
She moved a little more vigorously, then squirmed out from under the other cat, gasping for breath and shaking her head.
“Thanks! You helped me catch a fish. It was delicious. Why were you sitting on me?”

The grin that spread along feline features was a manic, ugly thing, and she was chuckling by the time the other cat began to wiggle. "That's right, panic, struggle, suck the water down into your lungs as you fight for breath." It was beautiful. She would make the Swan girl pay for what she'd done, and Leto would be so happy!
Except Navi wasn't quite big enough to keep keep the other cat under long enough to do any good. Alberio forced herself back up, gasping for breath, then turned to offer ..Gratitude? What the ********? Navi stared, hazel eyes narrowing as the other girl explained, then sighed as she moved to curl her tail around her feet once again.
It was extremely tempting to haul off and blast the other senshi with her forehead laser right about then, but she resisted. It was sort of a one hit wonder, and she didn't want to waste it this early on in the encounter. Oh, but it was tempting...
"I was hoping you'd stay down there and kindly drown," she sounded surprisingly conversational as she said this, almost bored. "But I guess that was just too much to ask." Bi colored fur was beginning to raise along the length of the DMC's spine. "You hurt my friend. You left her battered and bleeding, and I had to find her unconscious on the floor of her room and call an ambulance." Dark ears folded back, pressing tight against her head. "What is wrong with all of you white moon? Don't you know we're trying to help you?!" Her voice was raising in pitch the more she spoke, and at the tail of her little rant she'd raise up, right paw swinging back before she took a swipe at the other cat's face, dark claws extended.
"Every last one of you! You attack first and only bother with questions after the fact, and you call us villains!" It didn't escape Navi's notice that she was basically doing what she'd just accused the other of, but in her mind this attack was justified. She'd attacked someone she cared about, and now she had to pay. It was all very simple.

Albireo’s green eyes narrowed. Why would a friend of Leto want her to drown…? Leto and her…had made up! They had talked things out…she had helped explain how things would be if she went to their side…why was this girl being so hostile?
“Look, Leto and I worked things out!”
A paw moved swiftly towards her face, claws extended. Oh boy. Albireo did the only thing she could think of, raising one of her legs, letting out a yowl of pain as Navi’s claws scraped across it. Ow…oh ow that hurt a lot…a whole lot. The other cat had a good aim, I’ll tell you that.
“Hey! Talk about attacking first and not bothering with questions! I’ve done nothing to you, and I apologized to Leto for what I did to her! Lay off!”
She was getting angry…and really wished she could still honk…She..She missed that silly attack, it had saved her life so many times…and without it she felt very, very lost and quite weak.

It was unfortunate, but Leto had yet to speak with the rest of their court about her and Alberio's little make up, so it was the opinion of those that adored the other senshi that the swan still had a target on her head. Communication had failed, mistakes will be made.
She heard the shout, but her claws had already swiped across Alberio's leg before the words had registered. It made the dark senshi flinch, back away with ears pressed back and her tail whipping the air at her back as she stared wide eyed at the senshi before her. "You what?!" Her voice squeaked when she called back, a pained expression crossing her features.
Apologized, made up? Why hadn't Quinn told them?!
"She didn't tell us," she offered lamely, but she could see in the paler cat's face that she was getting angry. "I didn't know..I." The swan girl's words stung, Navi had been hypocritical, but she'd believed her actions t be justified. It didn't matter though, Alberio had a point, and if what she'd said was true, Navi had just made a very big mistake.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know." She didn't like the senshi of the white moon, not really. There were a small few exceptions, those she had spoken to and hoped to lure to through the mirror, and even one whom she simply ignored had anything to do with Order, but she generally didn't attack them on sight. Not without proper provocation. They were duty bond to save them, not to hurt them. Had she just ruined Leto's chance at bringing this girl over?

The cat took a few steps backward, having a small limp from the scratches on her leg. She hissed at Navi, deciding that she no longer wanted to have her travel with her…they weren’t equals at all…this damn Dark Mirror Senshi was just a bully, acting on what she wanted.
She frowned though, as something within the other cat changed. She seemed…guilty? Well, that was something…new. It didn’t matter, Albireo’s opinion was set for now…
“Well, just leave me alone. I want nothing more to do with you…with you or your court…just get out of here.” She hissed once more, the teal fur on the back of her neck raising slightly. Sure, she wasn’t even that angry, but…she didn’t like to be hurt. And it did seem like showing anger made the other cat back down, and she wanted her to just get out of here and leave her alone.
She had a leg to lick clean.

She watched as the other senshi retreated a few steps back then hissed at her, and Navi flinched as a result. She'd really ******** things up this time, and beyond the fact that it seemed she might have just ruined a possibility of gaining a new member of their court, she'd lashed out at someone who'd already made amends. The latter being the worst of the two, at least emotionally.
Had she still been a human she'd have offered first aid, tried to make things right, but there wasn't a whole lot she could really do as a cat, and she wasn't about to offer licking the other girl's wound. It might have been normal for a cat, but that was just going too far.
"I really am sorry," she offered again, stepping back. "We've been getting attacked and hurt, and prosecuted on sight, and not even given a chance.." A second hiss followed the first, and again the darker senshi flinched. Not out of fear, but guilt. "We're trying to save you all, but it's hard.." She trailed off, Leto had likely given this speech before, and on far better terms.
She took another step back, then another before turning. "I'll leave you alone. I really am sorry, though." She frowned, dropped her gaze, then darted off into the shadows. She would have to think of someway to make amends for this, to leave things as they were was unacceptable.
