The trip to the gym had been a mostly silent one. The entire way Mitsu tried to contemplate how she had managed to hit Shun with so much strength. Maybe it was something simple...and then she wouldn't risk hurting the reaper during this...adventure they were about to embark on.
Pushing the doors to the gym open, Mitsu stepped inside to see that it was empty just like last time. She placed her bag on the floor out of the way stepping aside and turning to Shun. She was hesitant to start, waiting mostly on his instruction.

With his hands in his pockets as per usual, Shun walked on towards the gym silently as well. He was thinking some similar things as Mitsu. That, and he was reminding himself that he couldn't go easy on her just because of how he felt for her. It was important he didn't go easy just for her because he cared about her. She needed the experience.
Once inside, he loosened up a little more, then summoned his daggers.
"I'm sorry if I end up hurting you. But I won't be holding back," he warned her.

Oh good...that made her feel a lot better. His apology before he hurt her meant the world of difference....
Really it just made her panic internally though she was somewhat calm on the outside. Stiffly she nodded, staring at the daggers Shun had summoned. This was like with Hel, she had no weapons to fight with...just claws and teeth. She could only hope she was fast enough to get out of the way of his slashes.

Mitsu fidgeted nervously for a moment looking at Shun as he instructed her to strike. That meant she had to get close and risk getting slashed at. Nodding Mitsu got into stance and took a deep breath to steady her nerves. It was all about learning and growing...she could do this.
Once she was ready she lunged forward toward the reaper, making a straight jab for his chest yet again. It seemed she had summoned a little bit of her strength to do so in the process but this time she was holding back, afraid to hurt him badly.

Crouching down to prepare for a fight, Shun watched her as she moved forth towards him. She was quick, which was good. He was just going to have to try and match her speed if possible. This time around, he didn't quite move out of the way in time, still taking the hit to his torso. It wasn't like the strike he took earlier on, however.
Letting out a soft grunt, he moved closer and slashed out at her.
Despite telling himself that he needed to not go easy on the girl, he was still doing so a bit subconsciously. His strike wasn't quite as fast as it should have been.

Mitsu wanted to yelp despite the only slight twinge of pain from the blades. It was really nothing but still had her shying back and away from the reaper. She lashed out weakly, and failed to hit anything, though it was more to keep the reaper off her heels.
Once she was a couple of paces back she crouched down like she had seen Shun do, her eyes focused on the reaper intently though there might have been a bit of panic. Mitsu still wasn't entirely sure what she had gotten herself into.

Shun could see that the light nick he had done well to cause Mitsu to shy away. While it was good she wasn't being reckless, this was too much caution, he felt. Especially considering it was her caution that made her attack rather easy to avoid.
"Don't fear the blades. Be wary of them, but do not let them deter you too much," he instructed before shifting in and slashing out at her once more.

"I..I'll try." Mitsu said, jumping back in time to miss a serious blow but not in time to miss the attack completely. The Blades sliced through the sleeve of her shirt leaving a light cut across her arm.
Instead of attacking Mitsu readied herself to block. Shun was still too close and she didn't have enough time to retreat and regain her bearings to attack again. Hopefully this would be enough,

Nodding to her, Shun stepped around as she got back into stance. When she didn't strike, he gripped onto his dagger and struck out at her. His blades didn't n** into Mitsu this time around.

Shun came down with his blades and Mitsu did her best to recall the training he had given her on blocking. It seemed she channeled it well because she managed to side step and avoid his attack completely. Like a boss.
As soon as she was at his side she lashed out. Though this time instead of using her fists she used her claws and managed to find a bit of resistance. Hissing in discomfort on Shun's behalf she drew back. "S..sorry."

"Good. You've learned well," Shun commented as she managed to block his strike rather deftly. Not only that, but she followed up with a pretty solid counterattack. He felt her claws rake against his chest, hissing lightly as he felt them dig in a bit. It stung, but it wasn't enough to keep him away.
"But you really shouldn't apologize. We're fighting here," he hissed.
Spinning towards her, he slashed out at the girl once again with his blades.

It was odd to hear encouragement as she was lashing out and attacking Shun. Just the thought that he was telling her a job well done for beating on him had her a little off guard. It had her distracted enough she barely noted him turning.
"Eep!" Was the odd squeaky noise that managed to escape her as she tilted back enough to avoid a full slash across the face. As it was he still nicked her cheek, a small chunk of hair falling to the gym floor. Never not a hair cut.
Scrambling now Mitsu continued to try and stay at Shun's side instead of directly in front of him. Hopefully that would make the difference as she lashed out yet again.

Shun let out another hiss as he felt Mitsu's claws bit into his flesh a little more solidly now. She was doing very well, actually. Taking a step back, he had the idea of trying to see how she would handle his FEAR. He narrowed his eyes for a moment, then suddenly disappeared into a puff of black smoke.
He reappeared behind her, then to both of her sides, and even above her at some point. With each reappearance, he lashed out with his daggers before finally stopping a few feet away, where he crouched down, ready for retaliation.

And Suddenly Shun vanished. The puff of black smoke was a clue in to what had happened but she never expected what came next. It was like he was slashing at her from all angles, she could feel the blade of his dagger biting into her arms, back, and even her chest.
She finally yelped with his last slash from above as it nicked her ear. Truly the smallest of all the damage done but to possibly the most sensitive of appendages. Her hand reaching up to hold her wolfish ear, she took a step back, eyes darting around until she finally spotted where Shun had reappeared at last. Raising her free hand up to guard she waited not sure if he was going to vanish again or not. She was obviously a little startled.
