Not trying to start an argument, but the front thing on the guild should prollay be changed.
Christain is a religion and not the labeled versions.

The people who are labeled are: Catholics, Pedestritariens, Baptist's, Southern Baptist's, Omish, Ect.

I'm not sure I understand what you are getting at...

Christian is a pretty broad term, but basically it applies to anyone who believes in Jesus Christ... Although, not everyone puts the same emphasis on the same aspects of the person of Jesus...

Edit:
Some people and branches of the faith hold that the person of Jesus Christ, Yeshua, or what have you, is more important than His teachings. That belief in Him alone will get you to Heaven...

Others feel that the teachings are what should be focused on, and not so much the man that he was except in His example...

Others feel that the Man and His teachings are on equal standing in terms of religious value...

Any way you have it, Christianity is inspired by Jesus and/or His teachings, and thus you have a big wide umbrella for so much of the world to convene under...

At the same time it kinda sucks that so many of those taking shelter under that umbrella are trying to push everyone else out...

We are some of the people who want to share the umbrella with anyone who is willing to accept its protection... or something like that.

Christianity is a broad term for a reason. It means to hold faith in. And if you stem the name down it means to hold faith in Christ. Jesus, who is a part of God. Who is apart of the Holy Spirit. So Christianity is not a label like it says on the home page. It is simply a word that means what you believe.

Label seems to an appropriate word choice here. Identify also works as well too.

This. Label or Identify as is an extremely appropriate word as the WBC label themselves or identify themselves as Christians and what the ******** is very Christ like in their mannerisms? Also, all those ******** pastors who blamed the hurricane in Haiti and the earthquake in Japan and the terrorist attacks of 9/11 on either the countrys dealings with Satan, the countries hatred of Christianity, or America's acceptance of teh ebil Sodomites. How about those ********? They really following the Law of Agape?

Im not defending those people. Those people I DO not agree with. But the bible also says in the book of Luke. "Do not judge, and you shall not be judged." theres more to it but thats the only relative part to your statement. Also, God does say in the bible to not hate, and curse words are a form of hate. So where I see your point as in you have certain pastors who are just....ignorant of what is actually happening. Does not make them bad people, it simply makes them ignorant of the situation. Which you dont only see in them, you also see in: politicians, day-to-day people, media, friends, family, everyone. For we do not all know everything so we are all ignorant about some things, though it is sad when someone whose purpose to be something is still ignorant of that situation. Though people have their own beliefs, that does nothing to change who they are as people.

Luke 6
37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
The measure that we are using against such groups we are also using against ourselves, I should hope anyway. This is why I encourage self-reflection and looking inward in my posts and threads. If you do know yourself then how can one hope to know anyone else? I encourage honest scholarship concerning researching Christianity since if one's beliefs are not based on truth then they are just transitory at best. If I see someone doing something wrong then what kind of loving person would I be if I didn't speak up? If a snake is about to bite someone, do I let the snake bite them or do I say something? If you find anything to be in error then please speak up. It is because of not speaking up that has caused a lot of problems in Christianity.

No one is saying that ignorance makes one evil, I don't think anyone is anyway. We are all ignorant on something. What does not fly though is willful ignorance since it is akin to pride and arrogance. I can't speak for others since I don't know what they do in their life but I am more than willing to admit that I'm wrong or if I don't know something. Granted I have fallen prey to this in the past and may do so again in the future. I can only hope that Christ will help me keep my heart and mind open to what is going on in the here and now so I don't lead myself or others into error.

And I shouldn't be able to say that they are not following the Law of Agape why? They clearly aren't. I am not judging their souls as they do to others as that was pointed out that YHWH is the only one who can judge people's souls and yet they do it all the time. If you, as a follower of Christ's teachings do not stand up and tell them that they are wrong, then who will teach them?

Prove that swearing is a form of hatred.

Vex Zao
So where I see your point as in you have certain pastors who are just....ignorant of what is actually happening. Does not make them bad people, it simply makes them ignorant of the situation.

It makes them willfully ignorant of the person whose teachings they follow. Would Paul or even Jesus really handle them with kids gloves for their continuance of telling others that those others are going to hell? There is a huge difference between being ignorant and willfully ignorant. I am not saying they are bad people for being ignorant. If they were just ignorant then a healthy dose of learning facts could correct that.

Vex Zao
Which you dont only see in them, you also see in: politicians, day-to-day people, media, friends, family, everyone.

Thank you for bringing up the media. What about the media who condemned O'Bama for not mentioning God in his Thanksgiving prayer when they didn't do it to the two previous presidents? That is willful ignorance and can lead to some very dangerous thinking. I also think that maybe those types of people, non-media too should stop ******** over history. Maybe I am in the minority on that one though, according to recent polls.

Oh look a bunch of verses out on context and probably not in the right language. Also, prove that swearing and cursing mean the same thing. And you still have to prove that swearing is done in hatred or equals hatred in context and in correct language usage.

You sir are an idiot and a horrible christain if you can't decifer those. But most people, like you, who come on the internet to fight with people are just geeks in real life lashing out because they can't fight of their real life problems. Oh well. Whatever your problem is, I'm going to be christain and not let you upset me by your childish cursing tactics. However if you ever wish to fight, I suggest you bring a pair of MMA gloves and than I'll give you my address. And I'll gladly knock some sense into you so you will never insult my religon again.

That's the Anglicization of YHVH. We don't know how to pronounce it. It's proper pronunciation has been lost since the fall of the second temple.

Quote:
Jeremiah 23:10For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force is not right. - King James Version
Out of context. It's talking about an actual curse. You know like family curse.

Quote:
Hosea 10:4They have spoken words, swearing falsely in making a covenant: thus judgment springeth up as hemlock in the furrows of the field. - King James Version
Out of context. Swearing is being used here to talk about swearing an oath of some kind. Like when you are "sworn" in to trial.

Quote:
James 5:12But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation. - King James Version
Out of context. Hell the verse makes the context clear as bell. Note the bolded.

Quote:
Psalms 10:7His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity. - King James Version
curse - 'alah (Hebrew). Context is clear. Curse is being used to mean ill wishes.

Quote:
For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak. - King James Version
Psalms 59:12 Cursing is the same word as above. It is wish ill on someone, in context specifically YHVH.

Quote:
Psalms 109:17As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him. - King James Version
Again wishing ill.

Quote:
Romans 3:13-1813Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
14Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
15Their feet are swift to shed blood:
16Destruction and misery are in their ways:
17And the way of peace have they not known:
18There is no fear of God before their eyes.

- King James Version
Cursing - Ara (Greek)This means asking God for misfortune on others is bad.
Quote:
Romans 12:14Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. - King James Version
Curse - Kataraomai (Greek)Again wishing ill.

You seem to be equivocating colloquial usage of the word "curse" with how the word was used in the text.
