Fighting Stats
Attack: 1% x 2 = 2
Defense: 1% x 6 = 6
Speed: 4% x 2 = 8
Agility: 6% x 8 = 48
Intelligence: 8% x 3 = 24
Aea strode into the area without a lead. She merely kept pace with Lous who kept her arms at her side, shoulders at ease, and hands on her belt. There was a soft jingle that came from Lous' right foot as she walked - a new trinket she had gotten the previous day. Aea looked to those that had gathered and took a breath, breathing out and licking her lips.
She was ready, she could do this.
Waiting eagerly for her opponent, Aea's bright eyes looked to the opposing side of the ring, and then she stopped, closed her eyes and took a breath again.
Focus, she had to keep focus.
A few moments passed, and she could feel Lous' eyes on her.
As the bell tolled, Aea rushed forward, eyes half lidded, aiming her weight at whomever was opposing her today.

 Attack: 1% x 5 = 5 Defense: 1% x 4 = 4 Speed: 1% x 1 = 1(fail Kalor, fail) Agility: 1% x 3 = 3 Intelligence: 1% x 1 = 1 The endless energy, ball of fur known as Kalor twirled in place a couple more times. His leash had been well twisted by now. He had never been here before and it was so exciting! Seeing a couple mokai around he had to yip hello to them. His owner tugged softly on the leash to get him to settle down. "Hush Kalor," Dearel said. He tried to obey, he really did. There was just too much going on. Kalor wanted to investigate every noise and smell he encountered. Unfortunately his owner was keeping him to a short leash. At her urging he eagerly went into a gate. The leash came off and the gate closed. He spun around now that it was off, and ended coming out of the gate backwards. It caused a laugh from the crowd that made his tongue loll out. They liked him! Then he saw the mokai coming at him. His first instinct was to rush up and meet her. Ask if she wanted to play or something fun. Instead the way she came rushing at him made him jump to the side. The only question was, was it a far enough jump?

When she was close enough, she heard the laughter, and saw the action. Aea quirked a brow as she was running at him, and he side stepped, and she slowed down watching his mannerisms. Her shoulder touched his, slightly, not hard, but a nudge as if between friends who had sen one another on the street.
What on earth...
But then she took a look at him, the color of his fur, and the spots, the lines, the detail. And she stood there for a moment, she looked at his legs, his tail, and she was enthralled.
Why had she never seen him before.
"Aea!" she heard Lous call and she snapped to realization, shaking her head.
She grit her jaw, looked at the male, "What're you doing?" she asked in a murmured tone, "fight!" and she rushed at him, and jumped, intending on trying to tackle him - not too hard though.
She didn't want to dirty his pelt.

Kalor ruffed at her playfully, then followed her nudge. He ran a lap around the ring and looked at the humans looking in. Oh! Oh, there she was!! The male gave several barks as he went past his owner. Did she see him? Did she? He came around again to the female.
“I’m…..uh…” He blinked in surprised as she said to fight. They were supposed to be fighting? That was new to him. Her jump and tackle took him by surprise and to the ground. Immediately he started to wiggle and squirm like a spazz. Kalor tried to make himself impossible to hold onto.

What on Akoya was he-
As he seemed to be surprised by her words, and by her action, she tumbled with him. Paws and tails flailing together and there was a roar from the onlookers. Perhaps they believed the fight was about to begin.
"This is a ring,"she said in between rolls, "for fighting. You fight here, not play," she said snarling, but not biting him. She was making noise for show at this point. It wasn't fair for her to go all out on him, especially when he had such pretty, interesting, spotted, fascinating f-
"Aea!" Lous called again. "Aea, show him!" It was not a harsh tone, but one for instruction. It appeared as if Lous could understand the male mokai knew not what to do.
Aea got off from him, and his squirming body, and she gave a half smile to him. "To fight you must feel it in you, then attack, it is what we do, we do it for our humans to make them happy, to help, now," she said taking a pause, "try!"
And she rushed at him, she only hoped he would do the same, or try to dodge again.

“Oh!” He said intelligently as they rolled. The snarl from her he could brush off; he got lots of those from Shirshalla. “Well if I’m here to fight, then what are you doing here?” He was sort of getting the idea now. When her owner called again, he bristled a little. Kalor bounded to his feet when she got off. He ran over to the wall where his owner was standing.
“Get in there Kalor! Go get her!” His owner yelled encouragingly and pointed to the female. Kalor twitched his ears. “Go play.” Play! Well that he could do. Much encouraged he turned back to the female. What she said sort of made sense. He would give it a try then. Boldly he tried to copy her as she came in for another rush. At the last moment he turned aside and she hit his shoulder again. Once more went rolling nose over tail.

She wanted to tell him 'what did he think she was there for,' he was new, was this his first fight? Had his owner, his human, not given him any training what so ever? She watched as he ran to his owner, and she quirked a brow, looked to Lous and Lous shrugged her shoulders.
All of this happened before they were running at one another, he seemed to understand.
He was fast.
Before they collided he moved - Aea did not play chicken well, and their shoulders touched. Aea stumbled from the connection, slid and shook herself free of dirt and stood to stand, staring straight at him.
"If this is your first fight...if you find me outside of here, in the settlement, I will teach you," she said, and smiled. Yes, that fascinating coated male mokai had to do well, his coat demanded it, that she was sure.
She ran for him again, but with a smile on her maw, they were fighting, but easier, perhaps more play fighting than anything else, but it would still be something for the crowd.
She jumped for him, to try and knock at his paws, but at the angle she came at him, she wasn't sure if she would reach.

Kalor tilted his head as she made her offer. Somehow he didn’t think he was living up to everyone’s expectations of him. That was a bit of a disappointment. He wanted to please his owner and make her happy. This meant he had to fight.
“Do you really try to hurt each other?” He was a bit hesitant to really apply fang or claw. Shirshalla had made numerous threats to do physical harm if he got too close. He figured that was just her personality. Now he realized it might also be part of her training. His tag gave a small wag as she approached him again. Even though he saw it coming he knew he wouldn’t be able to avoid her. Once more he went to the ground as his paws were tripped.
As soon as he stopped skidding, Kalor jumped to his feet. Now he was ready! With a playful growl he took a turn to launch himself at her. It might be late in the game, but he would do his best.

"It is what we are supposed to do, for them, I don't like to do too much, I don't want another's blood on me...I don't want to hurt someone that badly," she said in all seriousness. Aea was being genuine, honest. She truly only liked using her stamina to knock the wind out of her opponents, and use her strength to overpower. She did not want to rip open another's flesh just for the sheer fact they were fighting.
"I can teach you...we can fight the same," she said smiling, and as she hit him, slightly, she felt a tension in her right paw. She landed awkward. While she was trying to make sense of it, she was caught off guard by his movement, his lunge forward, and he got a nice hit on her side.
She rolled, and when she stopped, shook herself to stand and laughed, nodding as well, "Nice one, do it again, once more!" she said with determination in her eyes and she ran for him one more time.

“Oh I see. I’ll try to drag my owner over there afterwards so we can talk.” Perhaps she would give him a couple pointers. Or he could take on his house mate. Maybe the pointers first. He laughed to himself. She seemed very nice and he liked her. If they met again, he would certainly try to get her to play.
They had to finish this first. Kalor blinked when she told him to do it again. Do what? The male wasn’t sure exactly what she wanted. So he bounded forward in huge leaps. Unfortunately for him, she caught him in mid-leap and completely unbalanced. He ricketshayed off her and went tumbling into the wall of the ring. His head rang for a moment as he tried to get to his feet.

She didn't think her plan would backfire, and as the bell tolled to sound the fight was over, Aea did not go to Lous like she normally did, she went to the male mokai. He seemed dazed, and she nudged his side to try and help him up, "Easy, not bad, for your... first fight, I assume," she said with a smile.
"Just use that speed of yours, and ...tackle, like, when you play, and tackle and try to pin another? Do that, but with a little more behind it, I'll show you sometime. Just find me in the settlement, I'm Aea," she said with a smile and flash of her teeth.
"You'll do just fine then," him and his pretty fur coat coat, she was sure.
She made sure he was all right to stand, and looked to see if his owner was coming, and saw Lous making a gesture. "I better go, but do find me, I'll help ya, we'll train a bit," she said with a wink.
She hoped he would find her, she believed it would do well for them to get a feel for the style they liked to fight in. What better way to do that but between new allies...or friends.

Kalor saw stars for a moment but quickly shook them off. He blinked to see her standing over him. "I'm alright. Yeah it was my first. Name's Kalor by the way." He gave her a happy grin. "Right speed. Thanks. Aea that's a pretty name." He got to his feet and then gave himself a good shake off.
Just as Aea looked, Dearel came walking up. Ready to pull them apart if she was attacking. Instead she smiled to the female at seeing her helping him.
He gave a yip of thanks. Kalor promised to find her as he went to his owner tail wagging.
