From WWE.com Tazz promises huge announcement February 17, 2006
WWE returns to Long Island for the first time in almost one year this Saturday night. The RAW live event, which will be highlighted by a WWE Championship Match between John Cena and Edge (with Mick Foley as special referee), will also feature SmackDown announcer Tazz with a huge announcement.
If you're in the Long Island area Saturday night, don't miss this RAW live event and Tazz's special announcement at the Nassau Veteran's Memorial Coliseum at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will be available at the coliseum box office
Maybe just maybe he'll say he's coming back? All things considered since there's talk of when the next ECW one night stand will happen. It's been said that it'll be this summer sometime so now would be a prime time for him to return to the ring
What do you think?

Yeah I thought that through as well, but think about it. He's younger then most of the commentators in the WWE and all he really has to do is sit around and talk. They haven't forced him into action (see Lawler and Coach) and he's got good chemistry with Cole.
I guess I'm just really hopeful for his return. I would love to see him vs RVD in hardcore matches!

Tazz was a really great wrestler during his ECW career and during his run in the WWE he has became a force to be reckoned with dealing with the likes of ECW Alumni The Dudley Boyz and (my personal favorite) Kurt Angle, if he were to come back into the ring, I'd personally love to see him bump heads with Angle again because Tazz was the one who ended Angle's winning streak a while back if I remember correctly and plus before the one-night stand show Angle gave Tazz a cheap shot so I'd personally like for him to get some revenge from that (like the comeback from RVD after Carlito savagely attacked him during the Cabana...I wonder why that don't come on anymore), it'll be really good to see that

I don't think we'll ever see Tazz in full action ever again. His neck is too messed up for a full on match. That's why at One Night Stand he just applied a tazzmission on JBL and that was it.
His announcement was the next ECW PPV.

I don't understand why that was such a "huge secret announcment". I had heard about this like 3 weeks ago.

Curtis25 I don't understand why that was such a "huge secret announcment". I had heard about this like 3 weeks ago. Well, we all kinda knew about it... since RVD's interview on Byte this or any time thereafter, but the WWE had said nothing officially about it until Tazz and Heyman on Saturday night.

I only heard that he no longer had "butterflys in his stomach" anymore or whatever, however he called it. I'm guessing that feeling you have before a match.

Tazz retired from full time in-ring preforming due to chronic neck problems.

Well when I read the title of your thread, I swore it would be about ECW Back in Black. My friends theroy is that a bunch of ECW RAW superstars start picking fights with Tazz. Finally Teddy is like "Tazz go do somthing about it." So he goes over to Raw, and claims it is all Joey Style's doing. I mean who else would want to eliminate an opposing announcer. Tommy Dreamers music hits, and since he is the Announcer of Heat. He says. "Actually Tazz, it was me." We see Tazz vs. Dreamer with Styles a guest ref, and Mick on the announce team.

I did think he was comming back when Undertaker and Heidenrich were in a feud. Tazz walked up to the ring and looked like he was going to fight with Heidenrich but then Undertaker came in.
