This was crap. This whole…living as a cat was complete and total crap. She was tired, and hungry, and her leg still hurt some from that fight with that other cat. She bit her! What was up with that? The cat let out a sigh, then looked up. Oh. She was at Merric’s house…how did that even happen?
She ran across the street, then sat on the male’s front step, licking at her leg, wincing at the pain still in it. Owie.
Maybe..Merric would let her stay! Maybe…he’d feed her too…he couldn’t know who she was..but maybe he’d take pity on a cute little lost kitty?
…It was worth a shot. She scratched at his door, letting out a long, pathetic meow, praying silently that someone was home…and that he would answer.

Merric ran a hand through his wet hair as he walked from his bed room to the kitchen, clad in nothing but the sleep pants he'd worn to bed... however many hours ago. He couldn't remember. All the days sorta blended together lately and he only could remember one day at a time. He pulled a soda from the fridge and took a long sip of it.
Then he heard it.
Someone was scratching at the door.
He frowned and walked to the door, a muffled pathetic mewling sound coming from behind it. What the heck? He opened the door to find a rather pathetic, injured, oddly colored cat sitting on his doorstep. He noticed the star on its forehead and frowned. A Guardian cat? He hadn't heard of any new one cropping up in the Negaverse (though the white cats seemed to multiply like freakin' rabbits he swore) so perhaps this one was unaffiliated?
He stared down at her for a moment longer before scooping her up in one arm rather unceremoniously and carrying her into the house. "I never get cats on my door, much less ones with such... odd markings. What did you do to your leg?" he said, trying to see if the cat would talk, or just meow at him. He didn't really want to reveal that he knew what Guardian Cats were, just incase this one -was- a white moon one.
Better safe than sorry.

Albireo relaxed the moment her eyes landed on Merric. She nuzzled closer to him when she was picked up, and began purring rather loudly. He asked a question, and she was completely compelled to answer—despite her being…a cat and not a person. He was still her boyfriend…maybe not Albireo’s boyfriend, but Odettes.
“I got into a fight with another cat…she bit me. It was awful.” Maybe he wouldn’t be too freaked out that she was talking. Maybe. It was good to have that hope…and it was so nice and warm in here…she was pleased with that.
“And…your door just seemed so friendly…the last places I knocked didn’t seem to want a cat coming inside…” A lie, yes…but just a little one. And it was quite believable.

He froze and blinked at her. Oh that was not good. Oh Greater Youma that wasn't good. The kitty was talking. That cat was talking. Which meant she was a Guardian cat of some short. He placed her on the couch and disappeared into the bathroom to go get some antiseptic and bandages to wrap her leg in. Should he alert the other Negaverse about this? No if he powered up, the cat would know right away who he was.
Okay so that was out. Go with plan B? Think he was going crazy.
"So uh... you, uh... talk. Who, or what are you?" he asked as he returned to the couch with the med supplies. He kneed in front of the couch and rubbed behind her ears for a moment, waiting for a reply.

Albireo had remained on the couch, seeming quite comfortable. When Merric returned, she looked up, purring as he rubbed behind her ears. That was nice. Mmm Merric was just plain wonderful with everything he did.
“My name is Sailor Albireo…I think I saved you from a monster once…you look like someone I saved from a monster, at least…he had blue hair like you did…” She didn’t want to make it seem too obvious…after all, it had been a while since that time…but…still. He was still Merric. And…Now he would protect her. Like he always promised to.
The cat closed her eyes, continuing to purr, soothed by the boy’s very presence.

"Mm I remember you. Though I had it, just by the way..." he trailed off with a small sigh, not wishing to return to that particular night. Though he did wonder how she'd gotten into that particular form... Merric took her hurt limb gently and cleaned it quietly. Silver eyes followed his fingers movement, a calm silence over the pair. Once done cleaning it, he wrapped the offending limb in a bandage.
He disappeared into the bathroom again to put the supplies away, and then returned to her.
"So how did you end up like this?" he asked casually, sinking onto the couch with her. He checked his phone, a sigh escaping him. Still hadn't heard from Odette in a while... maybe she was just busy. That was probably it.

The cat sighed rather happily, snuggling close to him. Her leg was feeling better already, and that was a very good thing indeed. When he asked how she ended up this way, she grew quiet, then let out a sad little mewl. “I have no idea. No idea what so ever…I was walking around…then…poof. I was on all four paws on the ground…the guy I was talking to, he seemed like he saw things like this happen all the time…But…”
She grew silent, closing her eyes. If only Merric could know who she was. If only she could just tell him. Then he wouldn’t have to worry about Odette at all…for at this rate…if she remained a cat…she wasn’t sure when she’d be able to talk to him again. “I don’t want to be a cat.”

"Well I don't think anyone likes being a cat, except for cats." he said with a raised eyebrow. Oh this was lovely, so lovely. He had a freaking senshi as a cat in his house. Where he could get called away to the Rift at any time. He rubbed his temple with his free hand. Also, what the hell was he going to tell his parents when they came home to a cat that looked like she'd gotten in a fight with a paint brush, and who could speak.
She'd have to be hidden in his room, or out of the house before then.
"Anything you're particularly craving? We don't have any cat food, but I can get you a saucer of milk... I think we have milk," he asked the cat, scratching her head gently.

Albireo purred, nodding and pressing closer to his hand. Yes. Merric had been a very, very good choice indeed. He was scratching her, and going to give her some milk, and was letting her stay here…Merric was a good guy indeed. No wonder she was dating him. Life was so perfect for how it all came together.
“I’m hoping this won’t last for too long, though. So I won’t inconvenience you…I…I could not be here during the day and just come back at night…so I don’t have to sleep out in the cold…maybe…?” She looked up at him, big green eyes pleading, a pitiful meow coming from her small kitty mouth. She really just wanted to have a warm place to sleep…and if it could be a warm place to sleep and be with Merric, then that was all the world would need. Then this whole stupid cat thing would be worth it.
