here is my example. note, this is just an example character. i will not ever be using this character. it is just an example to show you what yours should look like.

Background: Lamika is the daughter of two meisters. her father was killed by a witch when she was four years old, so she was raised mostly by her mother. Mika has very little memory of her father. Lamika has an older brother and a younger sister. her brother, Max, is nineteen and has graduated from the academy. her younger sister, Juliet, is fifteen and has just been accepted to the academy. Lamika has also just enrolled, because her mother asked her too. she wasn't really thrilled with the idea at first, but she quite likes it at the academy. when she first arrived, she was greeted by her mothers older partner, filtch the sword, who is now a teacher at the academy. he showed her around and explained everything to her. she now lives in an apartment in the city with Rai, and has just started taking classes.
Abilities:
Soul perception: her soul perception is very weak since she hasn't had much training using it. she has great potential though, since both of her parents had exceptional soul perception.
Soul Resonance: she has never tried this before, so there's bound to be some difficulties, but she'll get it eventually. her resonance ability creates a second sword, a clone of the first, for her to fight with, or it can increase the size of her sword, whatever best fits the situation.
Shadow snap: she sliced her sword through the air, and it sends a black shadow like wave through the air towards whatever she cut at.
shadow sword: this sword is the same as Tsubaki's enchanted sword mode.
star strike: all of her senses heighten dramatically. her speed and strength increase as well. her body readies itself for a long and difficult battle. she becomes an expert ninja while in this form, although it has major effect on her body afterwards. she almost always needs to recover in th infirmary for a few days after using this.
shadow needle: she can control shadows and use them for both offense and defense. this ability requires lots of foucus, and requires both her and her weapon to stand still, concentrating on what they're doing.
