"I can do this..." She told herself under her breath, looking across the ring to see who she would be fighting. Wait, did he...? This was certainly a strange looking mokai. She wasn't sure what to make of his whiskers and fluffy back, but she knew those horns were no joke. Best to stay away from them.
"Here goes nothing..." She bolted across the ring at the sound of the bell, hoping to gain the upper hand by landing the first strike.

“Alright Link, we are going.” She said quickly, being pulled. She stopped, just before putting her dark mokai in the chute. “Remember,” she said quietly. “We do this for fun. Nothing else? It’s okay if you are having a blast out there, and if the crowd boos at you. Just remember, I love you,”
Link, not really understanding what his owner was saying, just gave her a dopey look, his tail wagging as he was pushed into the chute. Not a moment later was he let go into the pit, spotting his opponent who was already charging at him. Well that was great, here was no chance at a hello or a nice to meet you. Link prepared himself, sidestepping in anxiety before running towards the female as well. Best start off on the offensive, rather than let the other get the upper-hand. All he needed to do was keep moving (as his last opponent had told him). If he did that, he wouldn’t get too hurt.

"Whoa!" Namiira tried to move out of the way at the last second, hesitation and anxiety setting in as it finally sank in that this was for real. Unfortunately for her, it was too late. His larger size gave him a real advantage, and it seemed like her agility wasn't going to help as much as she'd hoped.
"No, no, no!" She barked, frustrated with herself as she squeezed her eyes shut, knowing she wouldn't be able to make it out of the way in time. She only hoped that it wouldn't hurt as much if she didn't see it.

Intelligence: 1% It seemed that this battle was going better than expected. When the female barked out, Link had slowed, but did not stop. The two crashed into each other, their snarls intermingling in the pit. The attack hadn’t been one of full momentum, like the last head butt he had given to the male opponent, but it still had enough force to do a little bit of damage.
The assault had caused the dark male to be sprawled on the ground. With a woozy head, he stood, his legs already beginning show signs of fatigue. Even though he had been in a few matches, apart from the match against J-Dub, they weren’t really fights. They were more so a play session for the male and whoever the opponent had been.
Link decided to take it down just a notch. Instead of charging, teeth bared, at the female, he trotted over towards her, his tail wagging just a bit. “You okay?” He asked concerned, before preparing himself for the next attack.
The male did care for his opponents, even if others did not.

Namiira grunted as she went flying, though it didn't hurt nearly as much as she thought it would. In her mind it was because she had overestimated how fast the male had been going, but it was more because he slowed down.
"I'm fine..." She growled softly as she scrambled to her feet. She was frustrated with herself more than at him, "Wait..." Why was she talking to him? This was a fight, right? She had to do what she could to win, even though she could already tell her chances were slim.
She gave him an apologetic look before lunging at him, hoping that he would understand. He seemed nice, but she had to do what she had to do...

Intelligence: 1% “Good, glad to hear!” Link would feel awful if he caused serious injury to the female. Sure she was an opponent, but maybe outside the ring, if Link was nice enough, they could be friends. Link did enjoy having as many friends as he could get.
But the female talked no more. The dark male was distracted by her apologetic look, giving a tilted head in response, before she had lunged at him. Well, that would have been considered a cheap move, but Link was ready for it. Remember, always keep moving, and he did. He took a few steps backwards, but that didn’t stop the other’s attack. Instead of bracing himself, he fell to the ground before the other had a chance to knock him over.
He couldn’t help but hit his tail on the ground at the crowd’s response. At least it was a little better than the jeers he had gotten the few fights before.

Namiira snapped her jaws at him as she pounced, but quickly found that her target was no longer there. "Hey!" She yelped in surprise as she landed, not quite on top of him like she had hoped for, but at least she wasn't the one on the ground this time. She spun around to face him and lunged again, this time aiming to use her claws as her main weapon. She had more control over those, and maybe, just MAYBE she'd be able to do something.
It didn't look promising though.

Intelligence: 1% “Hi!” Link chuckled from the ground.
However, his laughter quickly faltered at the extended claws aiming right for him. Already on the ground, and close to the side of the pit that blocked the mokai from jumping out into the crowds, Link took the defensive, cowering his face for the claw attack. He felt the nubs hit his skin, sinking into the flesh probably just enough to draw a bit of blood (and leave a stinging sensation there as well). Yelping, the male took a moment to look at the cut, his tail curling down, nearly in a position that lay between his legs.
He couldn’t dwell on it much longer. See what had happened for not moving? He had gotten himself (slightly) injured.
Link took the offensive once more, this time lunging at Namiira with bared teeth. It was more for show to the crowds rather than an actual attack. Something in his heart told him not to hurt the girl.
So he didn’t. Instead, he’d rather try pinning her to the ground until the match was over. That way, neither of them could harm one another.

Namiira allowed herself to have just the slightest glimmer of hope that she'd do well in the fight as her attack landed and she saw the tiny droplets of blood on her claws, but it was short lived. Before she knew what was happening, she was pinned to the ground under the larger male, feeling more helpless than ever.
"Hey!" She tried to push him off of her with her paws, but it didn't seem to work. He was bigger, stronger, and gravity was on his side. "Come on, that's not fair." She whined, trying to twist enough to get away.
She was beaten, though, and she knew it. Her muscles ached, her pride was shattered, and already she was worried about what would come of this once she got home. The last thing she wanted was to see how disappointed Naomi would be, and how angry Imnir would be on top of that.

Intelligence: 1x10 = 10% “What’s not fair?” Link asked from above her, his head tilting, and his tail wagging constantly. “This is how a fight works…right?” His ears perked at the crowd, cheering and yelling in comprehendible words. Link shook his head, turning his orange gaze back to the pinned females. “I’ll let you go, but no more attack me, okay?” He really didn’t know if he could take much more assault, even though he had come out the victor.
Letting up on the female, he didn’t know whether a part on the back or just words would settle enough. Link just settled for using his words. “That was a good fight. I think it was my best one yet!” He was excited about it. He knew he had made Lila very proud of him. He didn’t really realize the little injury from before, but when he had turned around to look at it, he yelped, running away from Namiira and directly towards his human.
Lila! Lila! I’m bleeding! Helpppp! he cried out to the human, not really enjoying the site of his precious red liquid draining from his body. The male was lifted by a side attendant, walking (mostly dragging) the other towards the infirmary to get patched up.

"I don't know... Whatever...." Namiira grumbled as he released her, standing up and slinking towards the gate where Naomi was waiting. She didn't even look up to see what her face looked like, she was too ashamed. All she wanted now was to curl up somewhere and not talk to or see anyone for a while.
"Yeah... Good fight for you I guess." She huffed, "Congratulations." She offered. She had a hard time making it sound sincere, but she tried. She really didn't have any hard feelings toward her opponent, just frustration at herself. "I guess I'll see you around." She shrugged and continued toward her exit as he was taken away by an attendant.
This was going to be a long day.
