Mina gripped Anala's mane as they traveled along the Clockwork Wasteland, riding bare-back. An earlier skirmish with an Ursaring had taken Anala's tack, and they had yet to find time to replace it. Still, riding was a much faster mode of travel, and although Mina was sure she would be sore later, Anala seemed to enjoy it.
As they went, they took in the sights of the lush berry trees and clear sky. It was amazing that the place wasn't filled with Pokémon already, but the quiet solitude offered a form of peace, too.
Inhaling deeply, she smiled, the expression lingering on her face before she turned to her companion.
"Thanks again for coming with me."
As they rode, Anala looked towards Shina. Occasionally, she would slow and shift closer to Rasha, looking towards the trainer with doleful eyes in hopes of another petting. Where Mina was now, she couldn't possibly reach her without putting the majority of her weight on her neck, and that simply could not do!

Shina shook her head at Anala's antics. "You are an attention hog, missy," Shina told her teasingly. Despite this, her hand reached out to scritch behind Anala's ears. To Mina, Shina nodded. "It's no hardship. I don't have any particular plans right now. Other than being warm. Inhinx is colder than a Vanillite's cone!"

Anala made vocal her appreciation for the scratch, gently mouthing the end of Shina's hair before she mirrored Rasha's canter to better align them during their travels.
"I bet it is!" Mina laughed in agreement. The two areas up north, from the Freezelands to the Kesfas, were cold and snowy all year throughout: proof that the region of Zatao wasn't particularly close to the equator and was subject to colder weather than her home region would have been. She couldn't imagine how cold Inhinx would be now as she had yet to brave the area during such harsh conditions.
As a result, she, too, was glad to be near Zatao's lower, warmer end, although she had passed through during the winter months more out of coincidence than real planning. There was still a lot she had to learn, and she was constantly amazed by Shina's considerable knowledge and foresight despite her youth.
Shifting her attention to the area at hand, she thought aloud, "This sure is a beautiful place. I wonder when Pokémon will come to fill it."
