Despite the fact Hypnos had been turned into a kitten, it still didn't stop the child from going out and having her way with the world. The stars still beckoned to her but now smaller things she may not have even noticed before suddenly begged her to go see them. One of these things was a sushi restaurant just across the way. The aroma was in the air and it was compelling the small kitten's nose to give it attention!
She'd never had sushi before but when the cat peered into the restaurant, her tail wagged happily behind her as she had an urge to try this new palette. She lingered out there for awhile until finally one of the staff dropped by and spotted the small kitten. The art of getting free food had been a skill that the new kitten had quickly picked up and today it had been a benefit. She needn't do anything but fluff up her fur and give a small nyan before their heart practically melted.
It wasn't until a couple minutes later that the small kitten bound across the ground toward the mostly vacant lot that was nearby the restaurant with a rather large piece of fish in her mouth and one hell of a happy expression. Ohhhhhh, she had done so good! There didn't seem like anything in the world that could ruin this kitten's happy night.

Hiro had been hoping for a happy night of his own. The sushi shop was a regular stopping point on his way back from patrol. Cats who worked hard deserved a nice reward, and Hiro had slowly wormed the staff around his itty bitty paw. Hiro was treated like a favourite regular, with one exception - unlike human regulars, he never had to pay. The staff would also sneak him scraps or perfectly good 'returned to kitchen' food. It wasn't necessarily the bad stuff, either - some of his treats were the goooood fish. Like fatty tuna. One time, he'd even managed to score some fugu sashimi. Hiro had just about died and gone to heaven. He was always hoping for a repeat, but considering that improperly prepared fugu was poisonous, his only real chance was in someone ordering the dish and then sending it back for some reason (last time, because some idiot didn't realise he was ordering the potentially dangerous stuff until the dish arrived and someone clued him in). So yes, not exactly going to happen every other day.
Tonight, however, was a rare blue moon.
Hiro was making his way across the empty lot behind the sushi shop when he spotted a tiny creature begging at the half-open back door. A large figure dropped something down to it. Hiro's fur began to fluff up. Someone else begging at his place? Were they looking for a fight?
The kitten, because the cat was small enough that it could only be a kitten, began walking towards Hiro. The wind was behind it, carrying the scent of the fish happily clutched in the kitten's mouth.
Hiro froze. His eye narrowed. Then his outraged wail split the air. "My fugu!"
This. Meant. War.

Hypnos had little choice but to stop when a wail of a cry bellowed through the air and caught her attention. What was foogoo? Hypnos hadn't the slightest idea but whatever it was it was certainly causing quite a bit of outrage.
The source of the wail hadn't been hard to spot, and Hypnos soon found herself face to face with another p***y cat. This cat was quite a bit larger than herself and appeared to be winking at her? The cat sort of looked like a little tiger and Hypnos' fur fluffed up with excitement. There was a star on this cat's forehead! Did this mean this cat was also a guardian cat? It must! She didn't think if maybe this cat was another human, or even judge the colour of the star as 'dangerous'. Instead the kitten sat down, took another bite of the fugu and then dropped the fish on a small cardboard box that had been sitting nearby. She didn't want to get it dirty after all!
"Hello," she said with a chipper meow. "My name is Hypnos, is something wrong? I heard a dreadful wail."

If Hiro was already mad, it was nothing on what he felt as the kitten took a bite of the precious fugu. The tiny thing placed the fish aside, and Hiro had a hard time tearing his eye away from the treat.
"Something wrong? Something wrong?!" Hiro hissed. "That is my fish!"
At least the fish was safe for now. Precious fish. Hiro would deal with this fugu-thief and then take his victory prize. As for said thief... Hiro eyed the tiny peach-and-purple thing. Tanzanite might like a wounded senshi-kitten for breakfast to interrogate. Hiro had a vision of himself dropping unconscious kittens at the foot of her throne - see what I caught you? aren't I wonderful? aren't I helpful?
Hiro slowly lowered his chest to the ground, back legs flexing. With his ears angled back, any proper cat would have known he was about to attack. Would a fake!Mauvian understand the signals?

The kitten most certainly did not understand where Hiro's anger was coming from. She had been the one at the door and she had been the one who was given the fish. How did that fish belong to him when it was given to her? The kitten's brow furrowed suspiciously at the other cat, looking between him and then the fish he was staring at hard enough that he could probably cook it off the sheer intensity of it.
"But..." she began, looking back to him. She certainly didn't think he was going to attack her over the fish and so when the cat got into attack position she just sat there. "They gave it to me." Unfortunately for real cats were territorial and fought for food and most unfortunate for the kitten: the bigger, tougher cat always came on top.
"We can share it, I don't mind," was her solution.

Share? What this little thing serious? Hiro could stomp it flat with one foot, why would he share? A real kitten he may have deigned to share with - after teaching it who was boss. But this was clearly another senshi-in-disguise as a cat. (The Negaverse had no one young enough to make a kitten body, thankfully. Hiro had checked.) And Hiro wasn't about to play nice with the enemy, no matter how young they were.
"I mind," he hissed. Then he pounced, growling as he aimed to bowl the kitten over.

The kitten Hypnos didn't understand. They were always taught that sharing was caring and that you should never be too greedy when you could just share it. There was no harm in sharing it, but this bigger cat really didn't want to. She frowned, turning her head to the piece of fish. She was hungry, she couldn't just give it all to him, could she? Her tummy growled fiercely and her eyes went from the fish to Hiro with a yelp as she rolled to the side in an attempt to avoid the larger cat.
She hadn't known this was his spot, or that this fish was usually his. She was simply hungry, but when she thought about it she was a human! Although she was stuck as a cat right now, she had a home she could go to and get food from but maybe this cat didn't. She frowned, looking at the distance between the two of them with the fish in the middle.
She decided.
"I'm sorry, you can have the fish!" She cried out, quickly turning her tail and running away before Hiro could chase after her. She hoped to high heavens that he'd simply be too distracted by the fish to even bother chasing her. What part of her thought he might chase her caused her to zigzag away, hiding in various areas to make it harder to follow if he was angry enough to chase her in lieu of eating the fish he'd gotten so angry about. Once in the clear, she headed back in the direction toward her home.
