⋆ History :: Ripley was born the daughter of the previous mayor, who was a cold, harsh man. For the early years of her life, Ripley was the same way, having been coached by her father to act like how a proper mayor should act. It wasn't until she befriended a factory worker's girl that she began to change for the better. The girl was so nice and free-spirited that Ripley couldn't help but to follow suit, much to her father's dismay.
By the time she was thirteen, she was well liked among the community, a stark contrast to the hatred for her father. Although, some people were still prejudiced. They couldn't see past the mistakes that her father had made, and they pushed this onto their children. One such child being the factory worker's daughter, Ripley's best friend. The girl eventually shunned her, and this brought about a transformation in Ripley. She was still kind, yes, but when she rose to power as Mayor after her father's death, she separated her personal feelings from herself and ruled the District from an emotional distance. But when she fell in love and married, a part of her warmed up and she worked a little harder to make people happy, although still being careful not to get too attached to the people as a whole.
