Hyweth loved the water. More than that, the crimson loved to bathe and be clean. She loved to have people admiring her (and even if they didn't say something aloud, she knew they were, in silence). When they weren't looking at her, Hyweth was sure they wanted to be. After all, who could resist her charm and beauty? She was the best looking dragon in the Weyr!
The vain crimson was taking delight in what she did best. Hyweth was swimming in the northernmost lake; swimming here meaning that she was floating a top the water while she primped and fussed at her hide. She opened a wing half way in order to check for nonexistant dirt. She spent several moments doing this before seeming satsified. At last, she looked to her rider.
J'len had been working on making a set of pipes for her friend pest, T'rel. He and his green had the tendency to harass her at unexpected anytime the senior weyrling pair had a free moment.
Mine, when I finish here, you must oil me. I will not have dirt on my hide.
Oil will make it stick more, my love, J'len patiently explained; again. They seemed to have this conversation every time Hyweth took a bath.

Thath glided down to the water, only pausing briefly to let H'ner slip ungracefully off before he took to the air again to dive into the water, splashing everyone around. Noticing the crimson, the brown primped a bit before greeting her. Lovely day for a bath, isn't it?
With a sigh, the now soaked wingrider shook his head and walked along to smile over to J'len. "Afternoon."

Hyweth looked up and noticed Thath. For a moment, she simply watched him, and it seemed like she was not going to respond at all. It is. Are you always so sloppy when landing? The crimson was amused. She fussed at her hide some, and straightened, flaring her wings in order to splash Thath.
"Good afternoon," J'len returned H'ner's greeting, covering her mouth to hide a chuckle. "Nice day for drying in the sun, too," she added pointedy. "Your brown seems a bit over eager to get into the water," she observed with a smile. "Like another brownrider pair I know."
