The gryphon had hurried out of class so fast she hadn't even opened the small box that she had obtained from the pile. It wasn't until she was safely in her dorm did she reveal the small make up kit. The only thing Tahki could do was stare at the small thing a little confused what exactly one was to do with such a contraption.
Give the gryphon any electronic and she'd make sense of it. Give her make up and be prepared for a blank stare.
She stashed the small thing away in one of her side skull pouches and wandered back out of her dorm again. Right now she was on a mission to find out exactly what it was she was supposed to be doing with such a thing. Make up? Really? It made sense for acting but...
And then it hit her. Tahki really needed to go pee REALLY bad! The gryphon made a b line for the ghouls bathroom and was shocked to find a very long line in waiting! It was either head back to her dorm room or wait here. Her dorm seemed far out of the question. It was to far, and the gryphon wasn't sure she was going to make it! Apparently she'd been holding it the entire class.
The line moved. Tahki voted to stay. It moved again. Tahki was now the third person in line.

Xiu was still mulling over what she should do for her Acting class homework. She had been kind of relieved to find that she had received two vials of fake blood--surely that wouldn't be too hard to use, right?--but the problem now was finding someone to work with. There had been a couple of familiar faces in that class, but...
The baku sighed, finishing off the last of her sticky cinnamon bun and staring down at her sugar-coated fingers with a little grimace. She could head all the way back to the demon dorms to use her bathroom...or she could just go over to the closest ghoul's bathroom to wash her hands there. Clearly, the latter seemed more practical, so she head down the hall, her eyes widening as she turned the corner and spotted the bathroom.
Wow ,that was a lot of people lining up! Though since she just wanted to wash her hands, maybe she could just...slip forward real quick and do that? Xiu meekly began to make her way past the line, her brows shooting up at just how many people there were. She looked over them idly as she walked past: werewolf, banshee, patchwork, arctic gryphon, nekomat--
--Hold it. Gryphon? The baku backtracked a few steps, a smile spreading over her face. "Tahki, hi!"

Tahki froze when she heard her name. She was only in the line to use the bathroom but it was still a little unsettling to hear her name in such a place as a public restroom. Slowly she turned to see who exactly was calling her name. Xiu? A smile lit up on the gryphons face. She liked Xiu a lot for only knowing her a short time. The ghoul was not a threatening entity like some of the other students. Xiu wasn't completely loud, over the top for one.
"H-hey~" She'd forgotten that she was in line to go potty for the moment. "What are you... Uh... I mean How are you?" Opening talk was still not the gryphons complete strong suit. She hadn't noticed Xius sticky hands or the fact that she'd pushed past a few angry faced ghouls. No one seemed to be saying anything though.
"So ... what box did you end up getting in class?" That seemed like an easier topic. Talking was so awkward for the gryphon still. Her confidence was starting to build but Tahki still had a very long way to go before she could be considered sociable.

The baku smiled, though she paused to shoot a flustered and apologetic glance towards the other ghouls in the line-up. H-hey, all she wanted was to wash her hands! Giving a little shake of her head, she looked back to Tahki. "I'm good!" She held up her sticky, sugar-coated fingers, and then grinned sheepishly, "Just here to wash my hands."
Lowering her hands, Xiu gave a little laugh as the topic turned to their homework assignment. "I got the fake vials of blood. Seem easy enough to use, but..." It had already been proven that Xiu wasn't very good at being scary--she was a baku, so she relied on being scary in dreams, not in the waking world. She would have the work on that.
Of course, since they were in the bathroom...
She jerked her head in the direction of the sinks. "I'll meet you outside of the bathroom and we can talk about this?" She suggested with an amused smile. Maybe it was a little too awkward to chat in here.

Tahki gave a nod. "Y-yeah I think its a little to crowded." And awkward, but Tahki didn't say that, " To talk here. I'll meet you out side after I'm done... K-kay?" Her tail nervously twitched. Talking when you were in the pee line wasn't the most ideal place to talk. Tahki knew this. Xui seemed to know this too. The line moved again.

Nodding in agreement, Xiu hurried towards the sinks before anyone could complain that she was blocking the way, rinsing off her sugary fingers under some water. After they were suitably clean, the baku made her way out of the bathroom, waiting in the hallway for the gryphon to show up.
Once Tahki stepped out of the bathroom, Xiu smiled and raised a hand in greeting. "So, what did you end up getting in that box for acting class? Any ideas what you're going to do yet or who you'll be partnering up with?"
Hmm, maybe if Tahki didn't already have a partner...?

Tahki had hurried out of the bathroom as fast as she was able. Keeping some one waiting wasn't her style. She preferred to be quick. And she was. The door almost slammed behind her when she exited the ghouls room. "Partner.. umm.. I - I don't have one.." She scratched the back of her head. Tahki hadn't answered Xiu's first question. The second one was the zinger. "W-What about you I mean. Do you have a partner? Do you wanna be mine?" She looked down at her feet almost ready for the rejection.

The offer caught her off guard, but it certainly wasn't unwelcome. In fact, Xiu was extremely pleased that Tahki had asked to to become her partner, her lips spreading into a smile. "Of course!" She chirped, excited. If it was rejection the gryphon had been expecting, she would be disappointed (or would she?)
"I didn't have a partner, so I was thinking of asking you if you were free. I'm glad it worked out that way!" The baku laughed, and and then repeated her earlier question since it was actually important now. "So, what did you get in your kit? And speaking of which--where should we do this? I left my kit in my room, but I can grab it so that we can find somewhere else to practice if you'd like."
Or they could use her room. That option was also always open.

The gryphon couldn't hide her smile. Xiu wanted to be her partner? Really? She was going to ask all along. Were Tahki's eyes a little watery? " F-for real?~" She had to ask just to be sure. But Xiu seemed like she really wanted to be her partner. It took a lot of effort not to get all giddy. The gryphon was already digging through her side skull pouch for her kit before Xiu could finish her question about which kit she had gotten. Tahki revealed the small make up kit she had gotten. "I... Im not sure how to actually use it." She frowned. Make up had never had a need in the gryphons life. So, naturally, the gryphon had never used it.

...Were Tahki's eyes a little watery looking? Inside, Xiu was panicking--did she say something wrong? Was the gryphon upset about something? Or maybe...were those happy tears?
Oh Jack, she hoped that they were happy tears.
"For real," Xiu assured her with a smile. Why wouldn't she want to be Tahki's partner? Despite the fact they didn't know each other too well, Xiu thought that the other ghoul seemed very sweet. When the make up kit was pulled out, the baku eyed it thoughtfully before giving a little nod.
"I...I'm not...that good with it," She admitted, sounding a little sheepish, "But I can try to help? Where did you want to practice?"

Tahki nodded, "I'm not .. really that good at it either and uhh... " There was a pause while the gryphon thought about where a good place to practice would be. "Really anywhere but probably a good idea to go some where open. Maybe out side.." "Do you know ... anything about make up?" Tahki was hopeful. She really didn't know the first thing about the stuff. The gryphon took out a little brush from the make up kit and stared at it. " Is it like painting?"

"Outside will work!" Xiu chirped in agreement, glancing towards the doors. Though...hmmm, she would have to run back to her room to fetch the fake blood first. Perhaps she could meet Tahki there? "I left my kit in my dorm! I think I'll have to go grab it first."
At the question, the baku's expression immediately became sheepish. "I...er...I know how to paint, so I'm sure it can't be that hard? It's just like...painting on your face!" Right?
...Right?

"Dorm room umm... Okay," She gave the demon a small nod. "Oh... Painting?" Tahki was in the process of putting her brush back and the kit back in her pouch. But it made since that it would be like painting with all the brushes and color pallets. At least Tahki thought it made since. But that was be sides the point. She had no idea where Xius room was. Tahki pointed to her wings, "I could fly you there if you like?" Tahki might have looked like a skinny little tooth pick of a ghoul, but she was a monster. With being a monster came strength other races did not have. " You'd have to tell me which room is yours though.."

"Fly me there?"
The offer had clearly been unexpected. Xiu's eyes were wide as she stared at Tahki. She knew that the ghoul was a gryphon, but...actually, just how big were gryphons in their natural forms? Xiu belatedly realized that she couldn't recall actually seeing one in their natural form before. She could just run out and get to her dorm herself, but it would take quite a bit of time...
"O-only if it's not too much trouble for you! I don't want to impose." She smiled sheepishly, and then gestured in the general direction of the demon dorms. "It's room 268 on the second floor. My window should be open, so..." It was a large window too, so she should be able to get in from there if Tahki could fly her up.

The gryphon gave her a nod. "Thats no problem at all.. I mean uh... If you dont mind and you dont so its fine I dont mind so ummm ... Uhh... Lets go out side ~" Tahki was already rushing out the door. There was a bright light and then a giant white gryphon stood in the place the ghoul was. She knelt down and waited for Xiu.
