Namiira wasn't entirely sure how to feel about this little trip to the park she was having with Naomi. She was out of her stall, which was nice, but as usual she had to be watched and what was worse, she had been kept on the leash for the duration of the walk here. Worst invention ever, the leash. Collars were one thing, she didn't mind them too much because they didn't restrict her movement, but being on a leash... It was way too short for her to go ANYWHERE!
Thankfully, once they reached the park she was unhooked from the horrible contraption, but she was fenced in. Not that she expected anything less. She sighed and picked up a quick trot, heading farther in to the large open area and farther from the fence surrounding the entirety of it. Maybe if she got to the center she could pretend the fence wasn't there.
"At least it's a nice day." She mused to herself, trying to stay optimistic, "And better than being cooped up in my stall. I guess I'll just make the best of it."

Kalor ran back and forth on the end of his leash. He was out! His owner was taking him for a walk! The male had been utterly bored out of his mind, trapped in the apartment with that sour mokai, Shirshalla. So much so that he'd taken to running around the room and outside until his owner had grabbed his leash. Then she had his full attention. He ran back to her, whined, then went to strain at the end of his leash again. Where were they going?! Far too soon, Dearel had brought him up to a gate. It looked like a wide open yard in there. Much bigger than his own yard now. He panted and pawed at it to get in. Run, run, run! Kalor pulled hard until they were in and she told him to sit. Reluctantly he complied knowing the leash would come off faster if he did. Finally, finally he was free! The male leaped to his feet and just ran in random circles, barking furiously. Eventually he started to slow with his tongue lolling out. It was then that he noticed he wasn't alone in the yard. Eagerly he ran over to the other mokai. "Hi hi! It's nice to meet you! Do you wanna play with me? Please please?"

Namiira's ears perked forward as she heard barking coming from behind her. She turned to face the source of the noise and saw that there was a spotted and striped mokai running about rather aimlessly, and making a bit of a racket while he did so. At least she wasn't the only one glad to have some room to move.
"Huh?" She gave him a quizzical look as he ran over and began speaking rather quickly. "Play? I guess that would be alright." Her brow furrowed, rather confused, but he seemed nice enough. If a bit... High strung.
"Uh, my name is Namiira." She offered, though he hadn't asked. "What do you want to... Play?" She shifted uncomfortably on her feet, not entirely sure how she should be acting right now. Sure, she knew how to play, but she had never been approached in such a manner, especially by a full-grown mokai. Pups occasionally behaved similarly, but even they weren't usually this full of energy. She wasn't sure if she'd be able to keep up.

Kalor was estatic when she agree to play with him. He twirled around and around until he was almost dizzy. The male laughed as he nearly fell over. Finally he turned back to her with a happy grin.
"Great!" Momentarily distracted he nearly bounded away. "Oh! I'm Kalor, Namiira. Nice to meet you." His eyes lit up. Kalor's front end went down low to the ground while his rump stayed high up in the air; his tail waved frantically in the air. Much like a puppy wanting to play.
"Anything, everything." He looked eagerly and expectantly at her waiting.

"I, uh..." She raised an eyebrow at him, "Nice to meet you too, Kalor." She continued to shuffle a bit in place, her eyes avoiding looking at him directly. She had no idea how to handle this, but she was going to try. She wasn't about to crush the spirit of someone so innocent and naive. Just because it made her nervous didn't mean she couldn't appreciate seeing a mokai that wasn't yet jaded or angry at the world, as so many seemed to be.
"Anything..." Great, now she had to make a choice about this whole thing. She had hoped that he'd already have something in mind and she could just go along with it. Oh well. "How about... How about tag?" She offered, "Ummm, you're it!" She prodded him lightly with a paw and then jumped backwards, not wanting to run just yet but ready to bolt if he moved towards her.

Kalor could barely contain himself as he waited for her to choose a game. He loved games. He loved when his owner threw his ball for for him. Finally she picked a game and tagged him. Oh boy! He barked a couple times in excitement before he tried to catch her.
The male bounded forward, giving her ample chance to get away. She hadn't run off as he'd expected her to. Well that was ok with him, if she wanted to be it he didn't mind getting chased. That didn't mean he wouldn't try to get her. After giving her the short headstart Kalor went into full motion. Half the time chasing her, and the other half just running randomly.

As soon as Kalor made a move to go after her, Namiira darted to one side and ran, narrowly escaping him thanks to the little head start he had given her. She sprinted across the open area for a few seconds before looking back, noticing that he wasn't really trying that hard to get her. Or at least it didn't seem like he was.
Maybe she should go easy on him.
Namiira slowed her pace down, trying to match his, and began swerving aimlessly on occasion. She wanted to make him feel like they were actually playing a game, not just her being chased.

He enjoyed the feel of grass under his paws as he ran. His joy expressed itself in a series of high leaps and a number of loud barks. His owner was leaning on the fence with a dewdrop and shaking her head. Briefly he wondered what it was about.
The corner of his eye caught sight of the female. This time he gave real chase. Kalor let his tongue flop as he bounded across the ground. She was a sneaky one. Every time he got close, she swirved away. He would bark and change direction. Too bad his house mate never wanted to play with him! She just growled every time he tried to get close.
