If it's got higher Special Attack than Attack, you should probably embrace that and drop Outrage and Swords Dance. Charizard never made that good of a mixed Sweeper imo. I prefer Flamethrower over Heat Wave. I'd take the 5 power drop for the additional +10% accuracy any day. Air Slash does some nice damage and recieves STAB for anything resistant to Fire-type attacks and Focus Blast helps against Rock-types and covers the typical T-Tar/Heatran threats. SolarBeam works great if you have a Sunny Day support, but if not, then I wouldn't risk it. You could always run Sunny Day on Charizard himself, but it greatly lacks it's potential if it doesn't have the DW ability Solar Power. I have used Blast Burn as a last hurrah type of STAB'd attack before, but in most cases, if something is going to take Charizard out, they usually do so quickly and opportunities for such tactics are rare.

swords dance ups attack. your attacks are based on special attack making swords pointless. unfortunetly he cant learn nasty plot(sp atk version of swords) either. but yeah, charizards' natural talents is with its sp atk and speed. its super weak to rock types so it gets raped by stealth rock, which is a popular tactic in competitive battling, so a lot of ppl dismiss it and critisize the use of zards. apart from that he is resistant to 5 different types of pkmn.

i run charizard(ive been using this one since leafgreen) on wifi and PO and am still experimenting on his moveset. i always have flamethrower due to the fact that i am pretty a**l about accuracy. focus blast is a MUST. it takes care of any pesky rock types. im still constantly rotating the other 2 attacks. and right now he holds wise glasses for a slight boost to sp atks.
