He knew others had been cursed like he was but he'd yet to meet any, perhaps there simply weren't a lot of people out there who were in his situation or maybe they were hiding? He should be hiding, he knew his coloring was not normal for a cat, but he couldn't just hide. He might keep to shadows and alley's but he simply keep indoors and wait this out, there was no telling when or even if this curse would be lifted from him, and he was not about to imprison himself. He was not the sort to live his life holed up indoors, he needed to be outdoors and enjoy the freedoms he had in life.

The other reason to be out, though it was late, was to see if there was anyone else out tonight doing like he was; seeking others in this situation and unable and/or unwilling to imprison themselves till this was over. He was hoping to find someone else tonight, he hadn't yet though he had met that cat *********. She was nice, though not the most helpful; she was difficult in a polite and friendly way, he didn't have all the answers he needed but he knew a bit more than before.

Turning down an alley, moving behind a row of stores, he passed by trash cans and bins as well as bags. He'd had dinner, thankfully, and it wasn't raining tonight so he wasn't in the same poor spirits he had been earlier in the week although having missed Thanksgiving he was still not in the friendliest of moods he was a bit better and not as touchy.

Maybe, likely, when this was all over he'd look back and realize he was lucky. No nasty kids beating on him, no dogs attacking him, and no fights with other kids, at least that was so far. So far he's had a good amount of luck. It would be later, indeed, when he realized how lucky he'd been. Right now all he saw was the bad, and how could he not? It seemed only natural that one only see the bad when they were in his currant position.

Kathryn still hadn't received any answers as to why she was a feline. She paced an alleyway in downtown Destiny City. She missed normalcy. Since she'd been transformed she had not been back home. Her parents probably assumed that she was too busy to come home for Thanksgiving. Kathryn wasn't too worried about missing dinner that night although she would have loved to partake. But being cursed as a cat had put a wrinkle in her plans. She had even had to push back a possible inquiry into a job opening. Pausing Kathryn scented the air before sighing. Various aromas assaulted her nose and she sneezed at the acrid stench of garbage.

Kathryn rubbed a paw against her nose to diffuse the lingering scent of trash. The idea of trying to dig something edible out of the trash cans didn't appeal to Kathryn - but how else was she to obtain food if she couldn't get it the normal way. It wasn't like she could just walk into a store or restaurant and pull something off the shelf and eat it without paying. Kathryn sighed before grooming herself. Why she was out in an alleyway in the darkening night when she wouldn't be caught dead here if she was in her regular form? Did being a cat lend her a sense of adventure that she lacked as a human?

It was then that she noticed that she had company. A sleek dark furred cat had just turned into the alleyway that she occupied. This was the first cat that she'd seen since her transformation. Unsure if this cat was like her Kathryn remained still and silent. Her gray eyes tracked the feline's movements. She just couldn't let the opportunity pass by though. Taking a risk Kathryn darted out into the other cat's path. She stared at the other before sighing. She gave a small sound of frustration.

"This is awkward. You aren't like me are you?"

Either he'd been dyed and painted on or he was like her, considering his coloring and the mark on his front leg area. But she had apparently not noticed these things; likely due to the darkness of falling night. He hadn't thought he'd find another like himself, or rather that such a cat would find him. It seemed luck was perhaps with him tonight as he stared at the cat in front of him before they spoke and he immediately knew two things, one they were female and two they were like him.

"You mean a human trapped in cat form?" He questioned, a smirk in his voice as he stared the other over for a moment. At least they could fit in better with their appearance than he could. She wasn't bad looking actually, the color of her fur was quite nice as was the pattern she bore. Very nice indeed, and from what he could tell she seemed to have a tail like his own.

Glancing her over he noted the color on her forehead, the star, it wasn't like his own. Remembering ********* words he wondered if his star color was dark like Dahlia's to symbolize what side in the war he was on. If that was the case what did the color on this cat's forehead say? He didn't know and so he didn't say anything about who he was, he didn't care to get in to some sort of cat fight, fur fight, with a possible senshi turned cat. Nope, that really wasn't on his list of things to do, fighting in general wasn't on his list of things to do actually.

Kathryn glanced sharply at the cat as it indeed spoke. From the timbre of the voice she could assume that she was dealing with a male. She had been feeling pretty foolish for even addressing the other in the first place. But now - everything changed. Where to start with the questions? Although perhaps this other individual didn't even have the answers that she sought. Sitting down as gracefully as she could Kathryn gave a more thorough look to the cat in front of her. The darkness hid the others pelt coloration but a light marking on the front leg of the other caught her attention. The mark looked close enough to resemble a thin vine that almost appeared to have been painted on the cat's fur.

As her examination drew a close she gave a soft meow. "I did mean a human trapped in cat form. You are the first that I've come across and while I don't know if you could answer questions I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one afflicted with this miserable condition."

Kathryn took a moment to give the other cat a chance to reply. She sent a sharp glance down the alleyway before tucking her tail around her paws. She didn't know if the other would be civilized or not but so far the meeting was pleasant enough. Her stomach at that moment rumbled loudly signalling her hunger. Kathryn gave her stomach a disdainful look. She'd not had a decent meal since turning cat. "Sorry about that."

"No, from what I heard you and I are not the only two afflicted with this form. As for how many have been effected I do not know, though I do know a solution and information is being gathered. I don't know specifics, such as how long we will remain as we are. I have no advice to offer either, aside from making the best of this as you can. It's what I've been doing, it's the only thing we can do." He didn't tell her to seek out a Negaverse agent nor one of those terrorist senshi, he couldn't do that and risk her being someone or her mentioning to the wrong person where she'd been and with whom she'd been. He wouldn't put a friend, like Painite, at risk and he would never send someone to the senshi. He would say ********* but he didn't know whom she lived with, as he was sure she lived with someone. She didn't seem the sort accustomed to living on the streets.

"That's fine, I understand that you could use some food. I've had a bit of a time with that myself. Perhaps we can find some food, steal if we must." Although he wasn't fond of the idea, he wasn't about to lead her to Painite's and have Painite feed them both. He also couldn't bring her home, Lily didn't need to be brought in to this mess in any way. So he would offer aid in helping her steal a meal, she needed to eat.

"Tell me, who are you?" Was she perhaps someone who served the White Moon and he didn't know it, or perhaps a Knight? He didn't think so, but he could be wrong. She didn't feel like it though.

To hear that others had been affected by this affliction had Kat feeling a mild sense of relief. To also learn that information was being gathered and a solution might be feasible had Kathryn purring very softly. It was an instinctive reaction. She was pleased with what she had learned and was showing it in a very vocal manner. The news that she'd have to make the best of the situation was a little hard to stomach after that. Kathryn rose to all fours before she resumed pacing a little.

"This is very frustrating. But you seem to know this already."

The way she said that it came out more question-like then she was willing to admit. But this strange cat in front of her seemed to have knowledge. Maybe it would be better for her to stick with him for a while. The fact that he was offering to help her find dinner was also a plus. However Kathryn didn't like the idea of resorting to stealing. Maybe just this one time it'd be allowed.

Kathryn stopped her movement as she was asked about who she was. There were only two options she could go on this call. She was sort of hesitant to reveal who she was but if she refused would this knowledgeable cat fade into the darkness. It was time for her to take a gamble.

"I guess I can share my name with you. I'm Kathryn McAdams. Can I ask who you might be?"

"Hopefully this will be resolved soon, and we can all continue our lives as if nothing happened." As much as he wished for that he knew it wasn't all that feasible, he'd missed how many days and one of which was a holiday. It simply wasn't possible to go on as if nothing had happened. He still needed some excuse to feed his parents and Lily. "Yes, I am a student and posses a family. So I know how frustrating this is. It is not an easy thing to sit and allow to go on, how could it be?" He didn't question, though someone could answer if they so chose to do so.

"You can call me Benitoite. It is the name I go by." He spoke, not wanting to reveal who he actually was. If for some reason he was around her when he became human again he did not need her to know his actual name. He too, like her, was being cautious in what he did and said. There was only so much he could say.

"Now, shall we work on finding your dinner." He didn't mention himself, he didn't need to worry. He had Painite and even that senshi Maia. He'd been eating, and well. "Does it matter where we go to get you food?" Was she, or would she be, picky. Even he wasn't as picky as usual given that he was a cat and couldn't afford to be.
PostPosted: Mon Nov 28, 2011 6:09 pm

"I don't think we'll be able to go on as if nothing's happened. It would be a nice thing if we could just forget."

Kathryn glanced to the darkness of the alley around them. Her vision in the dark was extraordinary. One thing that she'd take from this encounter was a lot of knowledge. Now she knew just how it felt to be considered a stray. A true stray probably wouldn't have the difficulty in tracking down a meal or turn up their nose at finding one that would be less than satisfactorily. Maybe when this was over she'd look into talking with Tallulah about adopting an animal from a shelter.

"It's nice to meet you Benitoite."

The discussion then turned to where to grab dinner from had Kathryn debating different types of food and whether it'd suit her new body. Finally the hunger decided the answer for her. "I don't think it matters where we go to find something. As long as it won't be garbage I think I'm fine with whatever you choose. Thank you."

Kathryn settled her nerves before waiting on the other cat to take the lead. She'd follow him for now with no reservations.

"Yes, well we can do our best to pretend nothing happened." He spoke, though he knew he wouldn't be able to ignore it either. Time spent as a cat was time spent away from everything and time spent doing things he never normally would do. It would affect him somehow.

He'd been learning also though that wasn't a lesson he'd learned, at least not yet. He was likely to do the whole reflecting thing and think about everything when it was over. Maybe then it wouldn't seem so bleak and negative. Right now though all he could see was the negative, or so it seemed anyway. He did see a lot of negative with this experience, he was hoping that when it was over he'd find some good in all of this.

"And you as well, a pleasure to meet you." To meet another like him, to meet with a civilian and not some senshi turned cat. He was happy with this meeting, though he would have been happier had this been another Negaverse officer he were meeting with right now. But a civilian was almost as good.

"Alright, sounds good and that makes this easier." Smiling he stood up and stretching he took off, shouting over his shoulder for her to follow him. Dinner she would have, and he might even get himself something to eat. But she would certainly eat tonight, he wouldn't fail and let her go hungry. "I know a cafe not too far from here, open into the evening. We can try their backdoor." He knew they left it open to keep air circulating in the kitchen. So they could get in fast, hopefully, and get out with food.

Kathryn silently agreed with Benitoite's words. None of those afflicted with this strange malady would likely be able to truly forget. She caught herself wondering what would happen if she was stuck as a cat forever. Most important was that she would have let Tallulah down as a room mate; although it was likely that Tallulah would completely understand. There was also her mother and father. They most likely would think that they had lost their only child.

However, hopefully that wouldn't come to pass. Benitiote had said that people were working on the situation. So all she needed to do was keep a positive attitude and maybe have some fun with this. It was hard to do.

It was during her mental musings that Kathryn realized that Benitoite had gotten to his paws and was dashing out of the alley and calling for her to follow him. As quickly as she was able to Kathryn got to her own paws and quickly ran to follow the tomcat. As they ran Benitoite explained their destination and while she wasn't happy with the prospect of stealing her dinner she had to admit that she could always return and pay anonymously at another time. "How much further is this cafe Benitoite? And do you have any idea of what they have to offer?"

As much as he knew they could never forget this, being a cat and all, he still planned to try and push it to the back of his mind; to act like it had never happened. He simply didn't have time to dwell on it and it wasn't worth the waste of time really. He may not be so bogged down with life and duties now but that didn't mean he had time to waste on frivolous thoughts. It was a big thing though, being a cat, and again he wondered if others within the Negaverse were like he was right now - a cat. He sort of hoped others were, if only because he wouldn't feel so...alone.

Hopefully those working on this would come to some solution so he could go back to being a person and an agent of the Negaverse. Never had he thought he'd look forward to and miss his duties of energy gathering and training but he did. He wanted to get back to those things, things which made him feel important and helpful. He wanted to get back to the life which had driven him to a breakdown in organization and cost him countless hours of sleep.

"Only a few blocks, which in these forms shouldn't be hard to make in good time." It seemed this body was in good shape and had no trouble making quick with traveling to various places. "It's a high end cafe, so the food is obviously high end. It'll be good whatever we can get from the kitchen." That was what he liked about it the most, and like Kathryn he too was thinking of paying them back for whatever he took; he was no thief! "Just grab whatever you can and run for it as fast as you can. I don't want you getting caught." If he had to he'd put up a distraction and let her get away with a meal while he waited till he returned to Painite's home.
PostPosted: Sat Dec 03, 2011 3:35 pm

Kathryn took in Benitoite's words as he explained the cafe to her and what to do. She was momentarily floored when Benitoite explained that he didn't wish to see her get caught. She kept up her stride to match that of the tomcat. Running like this in while as a human would have probably winded her by now but funnily enough she was alright as a cat. The amount of energy spent to keep this pace seemed less than what a human would need. Kathryn tried to figure this out in her mind but she drew a blank. All that she could think about was sinking her teeth into something and soon. Any sort of human food would suffice. Right now Kat didn't think a mouse would slice through the hunger pangs she was experiencing now. Besides - all that fur - no ... it would not do.

"Grab whatever I can and run. That sounds simple enough. Hopefully whatever I see first is accessible to cats."

Kathryn paused at the next corner. Various aromas had begun to fill her nose and she lifted her head into the air and took a few appreciative sniffs of the delicious scents. Whatever she was smelling had a direct effect on her stomach. It grumbled quite loudly and commandingly. It appeared as though they had reached their destination. Kathryn knelt closer to the ground in an effort not to be seen. Knowing that she was about to maybe find herself some food had her feeling a bit playful. She glanced to the cafe before whispering to Benitoite. "Care to escort me in kind sir?"

Turning down a block and down an alley way he lead her back to where a light could be seen and an open door. Someone was just heading in, speaking as they headed into the restaurant/cafe. The smell of the foods inside wafting through the air heavy and mouth watering. What was causing the delicious smells he wasn't sure, and honestly didn't care, he knew whatever they were making would be good if only they could get a hold of whatever it was they were making.

"I would hope so, and since were not normal cats it could be assumed we can handle anything we normally could." He had taken the time to run, and not talk, finally giving in to speech once they had stopped near the cafe's back door. It was an assumption which could be very wrong but he didn't think so, he had fed Dahlia before and she had never mentioned anything she couldn't eat. So he assumed guardian cats, and thus Kathryn and himself, could eat normal foods.

"Of course, care to go in ahead of me; after all ladies first." Giving his best smile as he crouched low at her side, ready to spring forward. He was hoping she was able to get out with a meal for herself. If he got something for himself as well it would just be an added bonus.
PostPosted: Sun Dec 04, 2011 2:14 am

Kathryn nodded at Benitoite's words before crouching down beside the tom. She felt a familiar wave of apprehension wash over her. Nothing though would hold her back. They were both this close to success. All she had to do was get in and get out before being seen. Springing forward Kathryn bounded across the threshold of the doorway and stopped almost instantly in her tracks. So many scents assailed her and she gave a look over her shoulder to see if Benitoite had followed her in.

Padding softly around the kitchen Kathryn studied the various items before her eyes lit on a pile of sliced roast beef. Her eyes lit up. It seemed that the cafe was preparing it for storage as it lay on a piece of saran wrapping. It'd take less time to bunch the plastic together and carry it out in her mouth than rather than risking eating it here. Kathryn jumped onto the counter where the meat was and gingerly sniffed at it before sampling a small piece. The meat was still held a bit of warmth. Wasting no more time Kathryn used her paws to roll the plastic around the meat, sealing it in the plastic wrap. That accomplished she picked the bundle up in her mouth and hopped off the counter. Hopefully she hadn't been seen yet.

With her prize in tow Kathryn couldn't resist a second look around the kitchen. A dish that still needed to be scraped clean held traces of tomato sauce and a few pieces of cheesy noodles. It lay forgotten on a lower ledge and Kathryn couldn't resist the pull. Lasagna. Her target lay in direct sight of the doors that opened into the cafe. It'd be risky just for a few mouthfuls of her favorite food. The brown cat leaped onto the ledge and began rasping her tongue across the dish's surface. Even cold - Kathryn was making a meal from the remaining scraps. The remnants tasted divine. Licking her tongue once more across the dish she realized the plate was now clean. Hopping down Kathryn grabbed her meat again before noticing shadows play on the walls beyond her. Someone was coming through the front doors ...

Kathryn's fur bristled before she darted underneath the table. Where was Benitoite?

He had been following her and he didn't stop, he ran right into the cafe. All ready to cause chaos and get as much attention on himself, and away from his companion. He wasn't going to let her be stopped if he could help it. She needed food, he didn't, and so he would help her.

While she was busy sampling the roast beef and making off with it he was getting around the place and making sure he was being chased. If he could keep them from her long enough, keep them from noticing her with his own immature antics she could get away with the food she'd found.

A side glance told him she was busy with some plate but it seemed he didn't have time to watch her, as he had to skitter under a table and hiss louder. Fur bristling as he bared the little teeth he had and scratch at one of the cooks. Making some loud sound he was out and across the kitchen, as he ran he noted she was gone. Good, hopefully she had enough food to keep her going for a while.

It was his thoughts that got him caught. Grabbed by the scruff of the neck he was lifted into the air hissing and spitting, it was uncomfortable! Swinging his paws at the large waiter he found himself being walked to the back door, scolded the whole way, and then...thrown! He was thrown out into the alley with some not so nice words being shouted at him. Landing on the ground, none too gently he lay there waiting for the back door to slam shut. Dragging himself to his four paws slowly he glanced around.

"Kathryn, did you make it out?" A whisper, just for her to hopefully hear, he didn't need some person hearing him.
