Jamie had gone off with his brother to somewhere earlier in the day, so Rook found himself with some free time and some freedom to roam. Jamie told him that he trusted him enough to come home at the end of the day, so he let him out of his stall and gave him a pat on the head before going with his brother. The silvery-splotched male trotted along the sidewalk, a bit of a strut in his step considering he was feeling good about his day, minding his own business.
In the main compound there were mokai everywhere, predominantly fighters. Mostly he passed by without so much as a glance in their direction, but every so often he would catch their eyes and he would give a nod of acknowledgement so as not to be rude. Mostly, though, they were with their masters and didn't pay attention to the passing mokai. And he was totally okay with being left alone.
At some point he came to a stop at a corner with slow traffic, taking a seat to duck away from the sun for a bit. Today was something of a scorcher, and he needed a break. He sat quietly for a while, taking some time to appreciate his new collar and pendant a bit more. Jamie got it for him as a reward for winning his first legal fight, and as an apology for his rough introduction to the pits.
