─♡──MISA CHERRY EVERETTE──♡─ ─☁──διsтяιcт єιɢнт──☁─ As we soar walls, every siren is a symphony Life goes on It gets so heavy The wheel breaks the butterfly Every tear, a waterfall ════════════════════════════════════════════ Misa walked nearly silently through the halls of the school between the classrooms. Of course school wasn't in session yet, it was too early. The majority of the other kids were outside using up whatever time they had. Or still asleep at home. Misa had always been an early riser. Liking to wake up to watch the sun make its entrance into the sky. Usually made her feel a bit better.
Today though, she was feeling a bit down. Not like she showed it. Misa Cherry Everette was not a pouter. On rare occasions would she whine or pout. Though earlier that morning, she had almost considered it.
She'd been made to leave Henna at home that day. She didn't understand why. It wasn't like she could do any harm. Bringing a stuffed animal squirrel to school. That was only slightly bigger than the size of her hand. Misa hadn't expected Gil to stand up for her so she didn't wait for that opening to come up. Instead she'd just obliged and gone to school without her best friend.
Misa knew it was odd for her to call the animal her best friend. It wasn't even alive. But it was, she'd had it forever. And she didn't plan on getting rid of it either. No matter how hard her family tried. Misa would get Henna back no matter what they did. Except burn it of course. Misa thought she would reach into a fire for the stuffed animal, but that was different than actually doing it.
For now though, Misa would deal with a day at school without her best friend. Besides the lack of a stuffed squirrel on her head, nothing really looked wrong about Misa unless you looked her right in the eye. She always had a naturally curious face. She was also trying to avoid her brother if possible. She would never tell it to him, but she found it a bit frustrating that he played a second mother figure in her life. He was pretty much an exact copy of their mother. Misa knew her brother loved her, and she did him. But he wasn't always the nicest when she did something the least bit foolish. Even her mother was a bit nicer than that.
She realized it was a little hard to avoid someone when you didn't know where they were. She didn't really care though. Most of the classrooms were locked. So she couldn't duck down into those to hide or talk to the teachers. ════════════════════════════════════════════ And every tear's a waterfall In the night, the stormy night She closed her eyes In the night, the stormy night Away she'd fly

█══════════════════════════════█ Gilton Gilton stalked the halls of his school, waiting for the first bell to ring. He had passed a lot of older kids on his way into the building, most of the didn't look at him. He gave is usual head nod to them as he walked inside into the almost empty hallways. It wasn't time fore class just yet, but when ever anyone saw Gilton walking down the hall, they made it a point to be somewhere else, even if that somewhere was in class. And if they didn't leave, they stopped any conversation they had going when he was around.
Gilton woke up this morning feeling pretty good. He caught his mother ordering his little sister to take her stuffed animal back to her room. He watched, as Misa had no choice but to comply to her mother's orders. He didn't bother to put his two cents in, because he would have sided with his mother anyway. Stuffed animals belonged at home, Misa should have been aware of that. He loved his little sister, and all he wanted was to bring out the best in her. He found that hard to do, mainly because all his little sister wanted to do was to be a little girl.
He held his backpack on one shoulder as he walked. Apon turning the hall he caught a glimpse of his little sister, with that cute little walk and curious little round face of hers that made him smile. The thought of her with the stuffed animal was cute as well, even still, he wanted to make sure she understood the difference between play time, and school. He strolled over to her and rested a hand on her shoulder. "What were you thinking this morning?" His voice was low and stern, almost father-like. Though his age took some of the base away and it diminished the authority a little. Perhaps this was the reason why most people would hesitate before doing what Gilton asked them, or rather, told them to do.

─♡──MISA CHERRY EVERETTE──♡─ ─☁──διsтяιcт єιɢнт──☁─ As we soar walls, every siren is a symphony Life goes on It gets so heavy The wheel breaks the butterfly Every tear, a waterfall ════════════════════════════════════════════ Misa jumped a bit when she felt a hand on her shoulder and a familiar, slightly annoying voice in her ear. Instead of turning to meet her brother's gaze, she kept her eyes forward, her grip on her bag strap tightening. Her eyes hardened slightly in a way that didn't match her.
"I was thinking no one cares what I bring to school, it's a stuffed animal. I was also thinking I don't care what people see me as when they look and see me with Henna." She said calmly. Then she sighed and shook her head. She almost, not quite, but almost added one other thing. Misa knew better though and bit her tongue.
The sad part was why she held back. She was a little scared of her brother at times. He was what she told herself she'd never be. Their parents. Mainly their mother. Or what she could be. Misa had also heard stories of their grandfather. The previous mayor. This scared her a bit as well.
Misa just didn't want her brother to turn into what the previous may had been. She knew one day it was likely he'd be mayor himself. Practically hated, taking their anger out on the next generation. Misa doubted she ever would be. Didn't really want to though. Either way, the affects of a harsh mayor lasted a while. ════════════════════════════════════════════ And every tear's a waterfall In the night, the stormy night She closed her eyes In the night, the stormy night Away she'd fly

█══════════════════════════════█ Gilton Gilton became a little more upset with his sister's words. Her voice was still calm, and the tone was almost just as calm. But there was an underlying snarkiness to her words that he didn't like. He didn't understand why his sister was like this, he never did. Then again he never really understood why he was the way he was, but he couldn't linger on that right now. He sighed heavily in annoyance, the hand on his little sister's shoulder becoming tighter as he opened his mouth to speak.
"Well you know what? I care what people think about you, and the image you put on this family when you do the things you do." He turned her around to face her, lowering his voice just a little as he stepped closer. His nose inches away from hers. "You need to stop being so selfish! Do you think your rebel-like attitude is easy on Mom? We have a name to live up to, and you fall just below that name. And I can't have that. You need to meet us on the same level, or at least soar above us, if you're even capable of that."
He put his hand on her shoulder, still with the firm grip. "I love you Cherry, and I only want what's best for you. But I can't help you if you're not willing to help yourself." He let go and stared at her so intensely that it seemed nothing would break his gaze. Nothing except the school bell of course. His gaze reluctantly broke as he made his way to class. "Get to class." He ordered. "I don't want you to be late."

─♡──MISA CHERRY EVERETTE──♡─ ─☁──διsтяιcт єιɢнт──☁─ As we soar walls, every siren is a symphony Life goes on It gets so heavy The wheel breaks the butterfly Every tear, a waterfall ════════════════════════════════════════════ Misa was hurt by her brother's words. She wasn't being selfish. Far from it. Nothing she ever did was about her. But he always seemed to think it was. For a reason she never understood. All she did was try to be herself and not draw attention to herself. Which only seemed to make it worse.
When he said they had a name to live up to though, she knew all too well. Their family name was something she never wanted to live up to. Gil never seemed to get that either. She wished that she could make him see things how she did. But she knew it wasn't possible.
At his final words, before the order to go to class, the little urge to snap and yell at him probed at her. But she knew it would only prove him right. She was shaking a little by now. Trying not to let the tears that threatened to slip, actually run. Instead she just looked away from him the second the bell rang. As soon as he broke away she murmured "I wish that were true Gil."
Whether it was loud enough for him to hear or not, she didn't know. So she just turned around and walked away. The halls started to fill with students again and she was lost in seconds. But she wasn't going to class. Instead she slipped into the nearest girl's bathroom. She grabbed a piece of toilet paper from a roll and wiped her eyes dry. Gil could be cruel. But pulling the 'mom' card on his own sister. That was low even for him. ════════════════════════════════════════════ And every tear's a waterfall In the night, the stormy night She closed her eyes In the night, the stormy night Away she'd fly

█══════════════════════════════█ Gilton Gilton heads to class, barking orders at others to get to class as well. He was one of the first to arrive in his class, which was nothing new. The class went by smoothly. No one interrupted or disrupted. Most of his classes were like that. When it came time for lunch, Gilton sat by himself, like always, but he didn't mind. He wanted to catch up on homework. He had already completed his homework for the next three days, so he decided to study the notes he took and began the homework for next week as well.
As he sat at his lonely table scribbling in his notebook, his ear caught wind of a conversation that two girls were having as they passed his table. They must have not noticed he was there. Not many people gossiped within hearing distance of him, for fear he would "tell his mother.""I can't believe she missed class." whispered one girl. "It's weird isn't it? the other girl added. "I saw her this morning." "You'd think being the mayor's daughter she wouldn't want to miss any class." "Well, I hear she is the oddball of the family."The girls continued with their conversation, but Gilton had stopped listening at this point. He had heard all he needed to hear. He took several deep breathes before stuffing his school material back into his backpack. Angrily he zipped it shut and stormed out of the cafeteria. He was furious right about now, his face bright red. Once again he stalked the halls, in search of his little sister...

─♡──MISA CHERRY EVERETTE──♡─ ─☁──διsтяιcт єιɢнт──☁─ As we soar walls, every siren is a symphony Life goes on It gets so heavy The wheel breaks the butterfly Every tear, a waterfall ════════════════════════════════════════════ Misa knew she'd probably be in trouble for missing her classes. She wasn't worried though. At least not about the teachers. Her brother she was used to. She just couldn't always predict her mother. Misa wasn't worried though, not right now at least. Which was what she was focused on. Right now. Not later, not in an hour. When class would be started and she knew it was more likely she'd be found then.
Misa had ended up making her way to the art class room. Of course she had made sure there were no classes yet before entering. Now she was still there, in front of an easel. Three or four different colored pencils in her hand.
Art was her favorite class. It was after lunch so she wasn't worried about when the teacher found her sitting at the desk. Earlier than everyone else.By then the roll of paper with her art on it would have been rolled into her bag and the pencils put away. Her teacher knew Misa loved art and was especially good at it. But also extremely shy about it. So she never pressured her to show the class.
Right now Misa was putting the finishing details of a water lily. It had taken her months to get just the base and base shading down. Now that she was done with the coloring and finishing the shading, she couldn't wait to show it to the teacher. Maybe she'd even show her mom. Maybe. {lol they're not getting off to the best start are they? x3} ════════════════════════════════════════════ And every tear's a waterfall In the night, the stormy night She closed her eyes In the night, the stormy night Away she'd fly

█══════════════════════════════█ Gilton The next bell was bound to ring soon, and Gilton's rage had begin to grow. He couldn't find his sister anywhere. Eventually had gave up. He decided he would just find her after school, that would be best. She couldn't avoid him them. Still, that didn't lower his anger. He snapped at anyone he could, even for the smallest thing.
How could his sister embarrass their family like this? How could she be so selfish? He was so upset, but even more so, he was disappointing. In his sister and himself. He was upset at the fact that he couldn't get his sister in line. Even the toughest guys in the district heeded his words, but not her. Not his twelve year old little sister. What was he doing wrong? What could he do to make her understand that the world was so much bigger than she was?
As his mind raced he stood in the hallway, idle. The bell rang and people rushed past him to get to their next class. He went through his next class in a zombie like fashion. Not really participating much. His mind was stuck on his sister. He was distraught at the fact that his words didn't reach her. He couldn't understand why. He was a great speaker, his own mother called him motivational and moving. So why couldn't he get through to Misa... ?<---*ooc*--->My outfit LOL. No, no their not. It's hard being the mean person. ─♡──MISA CHERRY EVERETTE──♡─ ─☁──διsтяιcт єιɢнт──☁─ As we soar walls, every siren is a symphony Life goes on It gets so heavy The wheel breaks the butterfly Every tear, a waterfall ════════════════════════════════════════════ Misa walked out of her class room with a smile on her face as she walked to her next class. From art class, two classes ago now, she held a cylinder tube under her arm. She had shown the finished picture to her teacher and her worry had all washed away when she saw the woman's eyes light up. She had given Misa the tube, a cardboard thing with plastic caps on the ends, so that she didn't have to fold it. The art teacher warmed her up to showing it to her mother after school.
Now Misa just had to make it through the rest of the school day. Which she really only had like one or two classes left. Not many people asked about the tube. But when someone came too close, she held it against her, as if protecting it. She didn't want anything happening to the thing she had spent longer dedicated to than she had in her entire life. Which was only eleven, almost twelve years. But this had taken her almost two years to get right. Were it to get ruined or harmed in any way, she would have been crushed.
Really Misa didn't care what he mother thought. If she liked it, that was wonderful and it would make her happier. If she hated it, okay. Misa wanted to impress her art teacher than she did her mother. She felt a bit more comfortable around the kind woman.
She had even checked with Misa before showing her class mates. Now a few other girls from class walked next to her talking to her about the drawing. Complimenting her. Saying how much they loved it or wanted tips on how to draw like that. Misa had given them a few things to chew on. She guessed word had gotten around in art class cause every now and then someone would walk up asking to see it. Of course she'd just shake her head.
The art teacher had wanted to show it in class the rest of the day and Misa pick it up later. But Misa insisted taking it with her. And she was perfectly fine with carrying it around with her. Like she was now. {lol that's awesome. I'm taking her character from a girl in a movie. If you guess what it is, that will totally make my day. It's kinda easy And sorry if this got a bit confusing or missing the point. █══════════════════════════════█ Gilton When the last bell rang, Gil headed outside. He waited at the front entrance, ignoring the curious glances he received. Rumor of his sister skipping class was going around the school. There was another rumor going around, something about a picture or drawing or something, but he ignored that. This was getting out of hand. How could his sister do this? He was highly embarrassed, and boy was he going to let her have it.
He barked at the other kids who stood around staring or gossiping. "What? Go home! This isn't some type of hang out. No loitering!" Kids scurried along, heading home or to some other destination that didn't interest him. He was furious, the rage earlier was now at it's boiling point. He could only imagine how he was going to react the next time he saw his sister.

She grabbed the tube again and headed out of the classroom. As she walked through the halls, some of her actual friends finally found her and she started talking with them. They started talking about how her brother was furious or how she was in for it. She sort of just shrugged it off. "I only missed like two classes. And I don't really care. I've been 'in for it for years'" She pointed out.
They tried to insist that she should be careful but she just reassured them. A couple of them even offered to walk home with her but she dismissed them. By the time they had walked outside, they finally obliged and said good-bye. "See ya later guys." She called as they walked off.
Misa turned around to head in the direction of home when she spotted him. Gil waiting for her. She held in a sigh but held her drawing to her side tighter. He wouldn't hurt her, she hoped. Yell at her and snap, oh she was sure he would. Just the look on his face told her as much as she walked in his direct. The look on her face was calm, almost happy. The little fight from earlier looking forgotten. It wasn't, but she held no bitter thoughts from it. After all, it had given her time to finish her lily. ════════════════════════════════════════════ And every tear's a waterfall In the night, the stormy night She closed her eyes In the night, the stormy night Away she'd fly

█══════════════════════════════█ Gilton He caught site of his little sister, making her way over to him. Her face was calm, happy even. Had she no shame? No remorse? She was completely uprooting her family's name and didn't even care. This was it, the last straw. He was well beyond tired of telling her the same things over and over again. It's not like she would listen. She had ears like everyone else, she just didn't seem to be using them. 'Well maybe she can use a reality check.' He thought.
When she reached him, he couldn't hold back. His hand went out, and came back in full force, his palm colliding with her face. Making a lout PAT! as it did. Several people stopped what they were doing and stared. But Gilton didn't care who watched him now, he was in his own little world. And the only people there were him and his disobedient little sister.
"What were you thinking?! Do you realize what people have been saying about you?" You'd think he'd be yelling, but he was too angry and most of his energy went into how he spoke his words. He spoke in the same level he had this morning, only this time, his voice was laced with disgust and shame. "Do you realize what they have been saying about me? You have crossed the line Cherry! I'm so tired of telling you what to do. From now on, there will be no telling. I'm just going to show you!"
He grabbed her by the arm and began to make his way home. "You're such an embarrassment..."
As he spoke that last sentence, his voice broke. He was on the brink of tears, but did all he could to fight them back. He hated abusing his little sister, but he didn't know what else to do. Nothing else he was doing seemed to be working.

No tears, no scream, just warm sting on her cheek and her brother's accusing eyes in her face. He'd hit her. Her own brother. Hit her. She watched still in shock as he all but yelled at her.
For the most part the words meant nothing. Until he grabbed her. That was what brought her back to her senses. She stomped her foot firmly on the ground, refusing to be pulled any further. A look of anger in her normally gentle brown eyes that did not match her at all. "Gilbert Trey Everette let go of me!" She snapped. Sounding like an echo of their mother.
Before he was able to react she twisted and bit at his arm, pulling away from him. She stood firmly now several feet away, cold anger burning in her gaze directed only at her brother. "Why don't you just stop telling me what to do and let me be myself?!" She snapped again, her voice rising. "Do you ever stop to think that maybe what I do has nothing to do with myself! All I try is to make others happy. But you know who cares about my feelings?! Cause I'm sure it's not you."
Misa hardly ever yelled. And never had it been at her brother. This wasn't a temper tantrum either. This was anger and fury built up for too long. Finally being let out. "You're not Mom and You're not Dad. So stop playing Grandpa and leave me alone!"
With that Misa turned and fled. She wasn't going home. She couldn't right now. Her mom favored Gil and she couldn't face either of them right now. Misa was going into the woods to hide and cry and just be alone. Not be yelled at or accused. Just be alone and let the tears that threatened to run, spill. If anyone tried to follow, they would no doubt loose her easily. She knew the woods well. {exit to woods, they dont have a house yet do they?} ════════════════════════════════════════════ And every tear's a waterfall In the night, the stormy night She closed her eyes In the night, the stormy night Away she'd fly

█══════════════════════════════█ Gilton Gilton was pulled back as his sister snatched away from him. His full name now lingering in the air. He turned back to her, the look on her face so familiar and yet so unrecognizable. She looked just like their mother.
He stopped and watched, listening to her words. Taking them in. When she spoke of him not caring about her feelings, he began to protest, but she kept going. Her words were like a spear, piercing him through the chest. It stung. He watched as she ran off, expanding the distance between the two. He stood there in complete and utter shock. Others around him stared. He looked around at the people who watched, then down at his own hand, which was still red from him slapping his sister.
He wasn't sure what was going on, but he was positive there was a misunderstanding between he and his sister. What did she mean she just wanted to help people? He had never seen her do anything to benefit others. Or maybe... he just wasn't looking.
His voice caught in his throat, but he still managed to call after his sister, with a shaking cry. "Missy!" He then ran after her, following her into the woods.<---*ooc*--->My outfit Okay. And no, I don't think they do. Deep...
