Alright, so everyone knows that Christmas is the next big holiday coming up. That means Christmas tree's, lights, carolers at your door(i got my silly string ready, do ya'll?) and....PRESENTS!)
So here's my idea for those that are interested, Secret Santa! Everyone know's what that is right? A bunch of people all get randomly assigned a person to get a gift for. Usually there is a gold limit for how much you can spend, and I'm pretty sure we can assign one here too once we get some participants.
so if your interested post your idea's! We have to get a gold limit, a date for this to take place, because I doubt everyone will be able to get on Christmas day) and a list of who all is participating.
Sign up sheet: necro Saber Matt Lady-Sanctuary
Update: Sign ups will close Saturday the 17th to give everyone time to shop. If you would like to join, please post in the thread by then.

I think that I said all that I had to say on the topic of Xmas planning in the Guild Anniversary thread. You can do as you like, but my focus will be elsewhere.

necrofade (i got my silly string ready, do ya'll?) Thanks for reminding me. I've got my blades and flamethrowers ready. I just need to get some pentacles out and keep a copy of the satanic bible handy, and I'll be all set for war.

I posted this same thing in the Guild Events thread. I think that's where I posted it anyhow. Like Josh said though, the guild anniversary is right around the same time. I suggested maybe instead of a secret Santa do a guild anniversary gift exchange and run it in the same manner.

necrofade Ahh well I had not known. No worries, this is easier to see. It seems like the stickies don't get much attention. Quote: Damn, I should have kept my witches bible handy this year! *Doesn't have any sort of bible.* I used to have Christian bibles from back when I still went to church...I sold them all though. d; I think I have a Wiccan cookbook though, can I use that?

necrofade I think the cookbook will work smile Oh good. I'm pretty sure it's still in the cupboard. It isn't mine but my stuff and George's tends to get mixed together. Last I remember it was in my possession. I'm not really sure what we're talking about though. XD

necrofade Damn, I should have kept my witches bible handy this year! Heh, you should. Though, nothing freaks them out quite like the dark mirror of their own faith. necrofade Saber Talawyrm *Doesn't have any sort of bible.* I used to have Christian bibles from back when I still went to church...I sold them all though. d; I think I have a Wiccan cookbook though, can I use that? I think the cookbook will work smile Yep, that'll work too. 3nodding Saber Talawyrm I'm not really sure what we're talking about though. XD What, don't you read the earlier posts anymore? I can't speak for Necro, but I was talking about warring against (i.e. scaring) carolers and other door-to-door proselytizers. Heh heh.

mourn_of_blades Yep, that'll work too. 3nodding Oh good. 3nodding I don't really remember what stirring something widdershins, wikkershins (I'm pretty sure that's not quite right. I think the first one is close though. d: ) means but I'm sure I can figure it out. 3nodding Quote: What, don't you read the earlier posts anymore? I can't speak for Necro, but I was talking about warring against (i.e. scaring) carolers and other door-to-door proselytizers. Heh heh. I get it now! I read them, I just was a bit confused there. ^^; So I'll...cook them "evil" meals? I guess that could be scary. More seriously though, what do you guys think about an anniversary secret gifting thing instead of Christmas? Christmas is so close to the anniversary and it would be sad to see anything detract from that.

That'll put the fear of pagan gods into them! Quote: More seriously though, what do you guys think about an anniversary secret gifting thing instead of Christmas? The most I really like to do for the winter holidays is hailing for yule, anyway.

mourn_of_blades I'd help if I could, but my delving into Wicca didn't go so far as their cookbooks. It's something along those lines, apparently it means counterclockwise. I just thought it was a funny word. d: Quote: Or you could present them with a book dealing with a religion that isn't their own. That'll put the fear of pagan gods into them!  Whatever works. But I think I'll have to make copies...it actually has some really tasty sounding recipes in there. I'd hate to lose it...assuming I even still have it. Quote: I'm more in favor of the anniversary gift-giving than x-mas. The most I really like to do for the winter holidays is hailing for yule, anyway. So two votes for a anniversary gift-giving. May as well say three, I know Josh would agree. What do you say necro? Yay? Nay? It's your thread after all. I wasn't trying to take over, honest. ^^;

Saber Talawyrm It's something along those lines, apparently it means counterclockwise. I just thought it was a funny word. d: It is a bit odd, unless it's just in a different language. In that case, there're plenty of stranger ones. Quote: Whatever works. But I think I'll have to make copies...it actually has some really tasty sounding recipes in there. I'd hate to lose it...assuming I even still have it. I didn't mean give it to them. Show them, so they can see that their influence is unwanted. Kinda like how someone would hold out a holy symbol or a mirror to repel a vampire. mrgreen "Begone, foul hellspawn! Your lies and hypocrisy aren't welcome here!" (Cue hissing, glowing red eyes, and fleeing christians [of whatever sect].) xd Quote: So two votes for a anniversary gift-giving. May as well say three, I know Josh would agree. Indeed. Saber Talawyrm I wasn't trying to take over, honest. ^^; Lies! Don't believe it!

I really don't know, not being Wiccan myself. I just know George uses it from time to time and I'm pretty sure it was used in the cookbook. Something about stirring soup widder-whats-it. Half of them have religious sayings pasted to their front doors/windows. It sure would be hilarious though. d: Saber Talawyrm Lies! Don't believe it! As far as I'm aware, they use either olde words, or those from the language that best corresponds with whatever tradition they emulate. Quote: Oh wouldn't my neighbors love me if they oversaw that.
